Roy Moore Spokesman Left Silent on Live TV By Bible, Law Lesson

12/12/2017 3:22 PM PST

Roy Moore's spokesman was a deer in the headlights when he got into a brief, but epic, debate with CNN's Jake Tapper about Muslims swearing on Bibles.

Ted Crockett was a guest on Tapper's show Tuesday when Tapper asked him why Moore doesn't believe Muslims can serve in Congress. Crockett fired off a shaky explanation related to Muslims and the Bible -- but, when Jake dropped some legal knowledge on him ... there was super awkward silence. Like, biblical.

Things got even more uncomfy when it came to the topic of homosexuality.

Less than 2 hours to cast your vote, Alabama!

Senator Gillibrand Trump is Trying to Silence Me ... With 'Sexist Smear' Tweet

12/12/2017 10:53 AM PST
EXCLUSIVE

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is firing back at President Trump and vowing to keep fighting him ... on the heels of him saying she'd "do anything" for campaign cash.

We got the U.S. Senator from New York Tuesday morning on Capitol Hill, just a few hours after the President tweeted and called Gillibrand a "total flunky" who had begged him for donations. The shot many call "slut-shaming" came when Trump claimed the Senator "would do anything" for his money.

Gillibrand doesn't seem fazed, and dismissed Trump's tweet as a "sexist smear" -- and suggested he better not hold his breath waiting for her to back down.

Gillibrand called for 45's resignation Monday after Trump's accusers called for Congress to investigate him for sexual misconduct.

Roy Moore Giddyup ... I'm Here to Vote!!!

12/12/2017 8:54 AM PST
Breaking News

Roy Moore went full cowboy mode ... mounting a horse to cast his ballot in Alabama's contentious special election.

The Republican U.S. Senate candidate arrived on horseback Tuesday in Gallant, Alabama. Moore wore his trademark cowboy hat while riding Sassy. Apparently, this isn't the first time he's pulled this stunt. Moore also showed up on a horse to vote in the GOP Primary.

Moore's nearing the finish line of an embattled campaign that includes mounting allegations of sexual misconduct with teenagers when he was in his 30s.

NYC Pipe Bomber to Trump 'You Failed to Protect' America

12/12/2017 8:43 AM PST
Breaking News

The New York City bomber allegedly went on Facebook just before setting off a homemade device and told President Trump he'd failed to protect the U.S.A.

According to the federal criminal complaint filed Tuesday against Akayed Ullah, the bomber took to the social media site with his message to the Prez while on the way to the Port Authority subway before the explosion.

Per the docs, obtained by TMZ, Ullah allegedly wrote ... "Trump you failed to protect your nation" ... which prosecutors say he posted Monday morning before the incident. They go on to say the message was written with ISIS in mind.

During a presser about the attack, US Attorney Joon Kim also revealed a search of Ullah's apartment uncovered a handwritten note that read, "Oh America Die In Your Rage."

As we reported ... Ullah was captured alive after detonating what many called a pipe bomb strapped to his person. Three other people were injured, leaving one temporarily deaf.

As for Trump ... he released a statement Monday essentially saying his travel ban was necessary to prevent attacks like this. Sounds like he'll have more ammo for that point now.

Elon Musk Over the Moon for Trump & Space ... Rep. Wilson Calls BS

12/12/2017 7:26 AM PST
EXCLUSIVE

Elon Musk doesn't care if President Trump or Buzz Aldrin himself says it -- he's all for sending humans back to the moon.

We got Tesla's CEO leaving No Name Club in WeHo Monday night and asked what he thought of Trump's Space Policy Directive 1, which orders NASA to start working on a program to send astronauts back to the moon and, eventually, Mars.

Elon might as well have screamed "To Infinity and Beyond," 'cause that's how giddy he is -- despite having huge political differences with Trump in the past.

Same can't be said for Rep. Frederica Wilson ... who's calling out 45 for throwing up a big space smoke screen.

Frederica was at Reagan National when she told us Trump's using NASA to distract from the Russia investigation -- but she believes there's NO chance it'll work.

Julie Chen Heartbroken Over Keaton Video But Mom Makes it 'Murky'

12/12/2017 7:41 AM PST

Julie Chen's a solid multitasker -- she pulled no punches for Kimberly Jones while showing major compassion for Keaton getting bullied.

We got the "Big Brother" and 'Talk' host leaving Craig's in WeHo Monday night, and asked her if photos of Keaton's mom with Confederate flags makes her uneasy about the flood of support for Keaton -- some of it financial.

Julie's clearly not a fan of those Kimberly pics, but she's found a way to separate that from Keaton's battles with bullies.

Roy Moore's Wife We're Not Anti-Semites ... Some of Our Best Lawyers Are Jews

12/11/2017 7:04 PM PST
Breaking News

Roy Moore and his wife rolled out that old tried-and-true response to allegations they're anti-Semitic -- pointing out they employ Jews.

Kayla Moore was speaking at an event for her husband Monday night in Alabama, on the eve of the special Senate election, when she made the cringeworthy comment.

Kayla said the "fake news" would have you believe they don't care for Jews, and she wanted to set the record straight once and for all. Not sure this shout-out to their legal team will get the job done, but here it is.

Kayla added some of their closest friends are Jewish, too. Seriously. That's almost word-for-word how she said it.

As the Moore's inner circle might say ... oy vey!

Rep. Steve Scalise Here's How I Roll ... I'm Getting Back On Baseball Field!!!

12/11/2017 4:30 PM PST
EXCLUSIVE

GOP House Whip Steve Scalise's competitive juices are rivaling those of Astros superstar Jose Altuve ... vowing to return as the Congressional second baseman after surviving a bullet.

We got the congressman at Reagan National Airport in D.C. and asked how his recovery's coming along. You'll recall Scalise and the Congressional Baseball Team came under attack in June after James T. Hodgkinson fired as many as 50 rounds with an automatic rifle.

Check it out ... Scalise -- who fought for his life after being struck in the hip -- has a new goal. We'll just say this: whoever took his spot in the lineup ... watch your back.

Charles Barkley Rallying for Roy Moore Opponent ... To Fight 'White Separatism'

12/11/2017 3:07 PM PST
Breaking News

Charles Barkley is stepping up for Roy Moore's opponent for the open U.S. Senate seat -- this after blasting Moore for his close ties to Steve Bannon.

Barkley is appearing with Democratic Senate candidate Doug Jones Monday evening in Birmingham ... the eve of the election. The NBA Hall of Famer, and Alabama native, will be at a Jones rally -- along with "Orange Is the New Black" star Uzo Aduba.

Charles made his feelings about Moore clear last month when he got heated about the support he gets from Bannon -- an alleged white separatist, in Barkley's opinion.

The Bannon factor alone is enough reason to NOT vote for Moore, never mind the allegations of sexual misconduct with minors ... according to CB.

It's interesting ... Barkley won't vote in Tuesday's special election -- he no longer lives in Alabama -- yet he's taking time to appear with Moore's opponent. He's admitted not knowing a lot about Jones, but clearly thinks he's gotta be better than Moore.

Bill Clinton How's Hillary, You Say? Check My Digit!

12/11/2017 12:33 PM PST
EXCLUSIVE

Bill Clinton was on the move in D.C. Monday morning -- but for as fast as he was going ... he didn't hesitate to give a status update on Hillary.

We got 42 leaving Reagan National Airport, and asked how the missus was doing on her national book tour. He wasn't all that chatty ... but was happy to flash a nonverbal response.

His security detail kept our photog at a distance -- one of the perks of being a former Prez -- but Bubba definitely seemed to be in high spirits here.

Who's got two thumbs (but only uses one) and likes to cheese a lot ... this guy!

Bullied Student Keaton Jones' Mom Gets Backlash Over Confederate Flag

12/11/2017 10:47 AM PST

Photos and words posted by Tennessee student Keaton Jones' mother have many people questioning whether she deserves any of the sympathy generated by Keaton's viral video.

Kimberly Jones' Facebook page reportedly features several photos of herself and friends displaying the Confederate flag. There's also a post in August where she seems to be telling people to stop whining about slavery and racism. It's not clear exactly what she's referring to, but the post was written 2 weeks after the neo-nazi rally in Charlottesville.

One of the photos on her page shows Keaton and a few other kids. Keaton is holding the U.S. flag and another kid is holding the Confederate flag.

The video Kimberly posted of Keaton talking about getting bullied has won over a ton of celebs -- many of whom have invited him and his mom to Hollywood and sporting events.

You gotta wonder ... if Kimberly's posts -- especially the one where she shows zero sympathy for "butt hurt Americans" -- will make celebs and others reconsider their sympathy for her and Keaton.

President Trump Sexual Assault Accusers Demand Investigation by Congress

12/11/2017 7:32 AM PST

Three women accusing President Donald Trump of sexual misconduct are demanding Congress investigate their claims.

Jessica Leeds, Samantha Holvey and Rachel Cooks held a press conference in L.A. Monday -- detailing their alleged experiences with Trump -- and asked Congress take a closer look into their claims.

Among the allegations -- Cooks says Trump forcibly kissed her in 2005, and Leeds claims Trump grabbed her breasts and tried putting his hand up her skirt during a flight to NYC more than 3 decades ago.

The news conference comes one day after U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley said anyone claiming they're victims of sexual misconduct should be heard.

The White House calls the allegations absurd and false.

Newt Gingrich on Al Franken Innocent Until Proven Guilty ... But Stay Outta Politics!

12/10/2017 4:42 PM PST
EXCLUSIVE

Newt Gingrich knows how to sit on a fence -- 'cause he's now defending Al Franken ... while also bashing him for thinking he could go the distance in politics.

We got the former Speaker of the House on Capitol Hill and asked about his recent defense of Franken on TV ... where he said the guy deserved his due process before being forced to resign

Newt breaks it down rather simply -- Americans are innocent until proven guilty, regardless of party ... period.

Still, he couldn't help but leave with a parting shot to the SNL comic-turned-senator ... and any other comedians who think they're cut out for D.C.
