Rick Ross is using social media gossip to clown his rival Drake ... joking Drizzy shot his plane down as rumors his plane made a crash landing swirl.

The rapper took to his Instagram Story Friday to crack some jokes about his plane allegedly making an emergency landing ... thanking his fans for prayers before launching into his over-the-top story.

RR claims he saw a fighter jet barreling toward his own aircraft ... saying he sees an unnamed pilot's nose like Tom Cruise from "Top Gun" -- before adding "it happened" without specifying what that is.

The actor-comedian hopped onstage for his Netflix Is A Joke show Friday night in Los Angeles when he addressed the controversial film project ... and, it sounds like Pauly's out on potentially getting Richard onboard.

Variety reports Shore said, “I’m also gonna be starring in the Richard Simmons biopic … whether he likes it or not, Richard. Just another f***ing bump in my f***ing road.”

Gypsy Rose Blanchard is scratching her head over Sunny Hostin's decision to blast her on national TV -- especially since they were friendly in the past ... an about-face, it seems.

Lisa Jakub -- who played one of Robin's onscreen daughters in the 1993 comedy -- stopped by fellow 'Doubtfire' alum Matthew Lawrence's "Brotherly Love Podcast" this week -- where she shared how she was kicked out of school while filming their flick.

However, De Niro's rep has shut this notion down ... saying the footage was merely a rehearsal from his new Netflix show, "Zero Day." As it turns out, De Niro was actually just practicing scripted lines while rehearsing in front of a group of extras.
