Dr. Ben Carson isn't wavering a bit -- he would have done things differently if he were a potential victim of the Oregon shooter ... but just like the first time, he followed his comment with a chuckle.
Carson was in NYC Tuesday, when he was asked if he stands by his comment that he would have quickly organized a mob to subdue the Oregon gunman, because the guy could only shoot one person at a time.
Carson, who initially made his point on "Fox & Friends," has been skewered by some who feel he was calling the victims cowards. A lot of people were upset he chuckled after making his comment.
Chuckle he did again.
