A woman in Thailand got herself a new squeeze -- in the form of a massive python that almost killed her!

Arrom Arunroj, 64, survived Tuesday night's savage encounter with the 13-foot-long, 44-pound snake inside her house in Samut Prakan, a province just south of Bangkok.

Video of the terrifying incident captures Arrom sitting on the floor inside a room with the coils of the serpent wrapped around her skinny frame. Arrom was completely helpless.

The craze surrounding HBO's docuseries "Chimp Crazy" has become quite profitable for the sanctuary now housing the show's star, Tonka the Chimp.

A rep for Save the Chimps tells TMZ ... all eyes are on their nonprofit after Tonka was seen thriving there in the final episode of "Chimp Crazy," which was created by the same director as "Tiger King."

In fact, Save the Chimps has seen a notable increase in donations ... a 200% increase, to be exact.

Crumbs -- a robust Russian cat living in a hospital on a diet of cookies and soup from the staff -- was taken to a center in Perm, where he was put on a strict diet and workout routine.

Unfortunately, Crumbs didn't enjoy his new living situation too much ... 'cause officials at the center say he tried to escape -- and, ended up stuck in a shoe rack.
