An eyewitness told the outlet she was driving on the same road when the wreck happened, and stopped to help.
Police Lt. Joseph Soto told the local Patch affiliate that a 17-year-old in a Honda Civic turned left onto Cedar Hill Avenue from Sicomac Avenue and collided with a Jeep.
Soto told the outlet the Jeep turned onto its side from the impact, trapping its 73-year-old driver and a dog in the car.

Dominiq Ponder -- a quarterback at the University of Colorado -- had double the legal limit of alcohol in his system when he was involved in a fatal car crash that took his life last month in Boulder County.
According to the medical examiner's autopsy report, obtained by TMZ Sports, Ponder's blood-alcohol content was recorded at .167 g/100 mL -- the legal limit in Colorado is 0.08.
The medical examiner also listed his cause of death as multiple blunt force injuries the 23-year-old suffered as a result of the crash.

TMZ obtained dispatch audio from Tuesday's terrifying crash, and you can hear responders describing him after he was pulled from the completely destroyed 2026 Lucid Gravity. He was quickly transported to the hospital.
Later in the audio, responders describe the vehicle as totally engulfed in flames and note they're dealing with not one but two blazes. They eventually got them under control and used a giant fire retardant sheet to help.

St. Louis Cardinals player Masyn Winn was involved in a car accident hours after saving the day for his team ... with the organization announcing the shortstop was uninjured in the wreck.
The Cards released a statement on the matter ... stating 24-year-old Winn was traveling on Interstate 64 and Highway 40 when wet pavement caused him to crash.
The team said Winn was alone in the vehicle at the time of the accident ... and local authorities responded to the scene, as well as Cardinals staffers and security.
