Eric Bellinger is remembering D'Angelo ... he says the voice, swag, vibe, lifestyle and music embodied the definition of "street soul."

We got Eric at LAX on Tuesday and our photog asked him about D'Angelo's tragic death, which shook the music world earlier in the day.

Eric says D'Angelo was a pioneer in music and he really looked up to the guy ... Eric even sampled D'Angelo's "Lady" on his song "Curious" with Fabolous and Cordae.

D'Angelo's sudden death from pancreatic cancer has completely shattered the hip hop and R&B world ... several of his collaborators and admiring peers are mourning the loss and memorializing his legacy.

DJ Premier, who produced several classic records for D'Angelo -- including their well-placed "Devil's Pie" track -- sent out a loving tribute remembering the "many" good times they had together. The Alchemist and Tyler, The Creator also sent out RIP tweets.

Jill Scott, who was equally instrumental in cementing neo-soul into the music biz, sent out a sweeping tribute to D'Angelo, admitting she never met him ... but she still loved him with all her heart.

10:50 AM PT -- D'Angelo's family released a statement following his death ... "The shining star of our family has dimmed his light for us in this life ... After a prolonged and courageous battle with cancer, we are heartbroken to announce that Michael D'Angelo Archer, known to his fans around the world as D'Angelo, has been called home, departing this life today, October 14th, 2025. We are saddened that he can only leave dear memories with his family, but we are eternally grateful for the legacy of extraordinarily moving music he leaves behind. We ask that you respect our privacy during this difficult time but invite you all join us in mourning his passing while also celebrating the gift of song that he has left for the world."

Grammy-winning R&B soul singer D'Angelo is dead from pancreatic cancer ... TMZ has learned.

The "Brown Sugar" singer-songwriter died Tuesday morning in NYC ... according to sources connected to his family and his former manager Kedar Massenburg. While D'Angelo had not been public about his cancer battle, we're told he'd been in treatment for several months.

D'Angelo was a singular talent who collaborated with the likes of Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg and Q-Tip ... after bursting onto the scene in 1995 with his solo debut album, "Brown Sugar."

Many stars have been paying tribute to Diane Keaton following her passing ... and her hometown of Santa Ana, California, is following suit.

Santa Ana Mayor Valerie Amezcua tells TMZ ... she will be asking for a street topper right by Santa Ana High School. She also tells us she plans on closing the next city council meeting in Keaton's honor.

Keaton graduated from Santa Ana High School in 1963 before moving to New York to start her legendary show business career.

Sandy Alomar Sr. -- the father of ex-MLB stars Roberto Alomar and Sandy Alomar Jr. -- has passed away at 81 years old.

The league confirmed the news on Monday ... after a local outlet in Puerto Rico reported the former California Angels star suffered a medical incident just a week prior to his 82nd birthday.

Alomar Sr. spent 15 years playing in the big leagues ... suiting up for six different teams. He finished his career with a .245 average, 13 home runs and 282 RBIs. While he didn't have much pop, Alomar Sr. was a threat on the basepath, stealing 227 bases during his career.

Ozzy Osbourne’s crew got full-on autumnal vibes ... carving out some time to hit a mural of the late rocker ... made entirely outta pumpkins!

The rocker’s wife Sharon and kids Jack and Kelly popped by Sunnyfields Farm in Hampshire, UK, on Saturday -- where over 10,000 pumpkins and squashes came together to make Ozzy’s face.

Woody Allen paid tribute to his muse and former romantic partner Diane Keaton following the legendary actress' death Saturday.

Sarah Paulson was visibly emotional as she left Diane Keaton's Los Angeles area home Saturday just hours after news broke that the Oscar-winning star had died.

Photos show the "American Horror Story" actress appearing distraught, at one point embracing someone outside the Brentwood residence before driving away in a black car. Several others were also seen gathering at the property as friends and loved ones paid their respects.

Paulson shared a close bond with Keaton over the years. The two were last spotted together during a dinner in West Hollywood in 2021.

1:45 PM PT -- The Los Angeles Fire Department tells TMZ ... they responded to Diane's home at 8:08 AM Saturday morning and an ambulance transported an individual to a local hospital.

Our sources tell us Diane was the one taken away in the ambulance.

Argentine singer and former model Fede Dorcaz was tragically shot and killed just days before he was set to appear on a Mexican dance competition show.

The 29-year-old was reportedly attacked during an attempted robbery Thursday night in Mexico City, shortly after leaving dance rehearsals to drive home.

According to the Mexico City Secretariat of Public Safety, Dorcaz was shot in the neck while trying to exit a road and died instantly at the scene.

Varinder Singh Ghuman -- a well-known Indian bodybuilder and actor -- suddenly passed away on Thursday at only 42 years old.

Ghuman's nephew confirmed the sad news to reporters, saying his uncle suffered a medical emergency while he was being treated at a hospital for a shoulder injury.
