Kelsey Grammer has purchased a multi-million dollar house in Beverly Hills in part to be close to his kids ... TMZ has learned.

Sources tell us Kelsey was quietly looking at homes in the $7 million range and has settled on one he and his new wife Kayte really liked.

Kelsey has joint custody of the 2 kids he had with ex-wife Camille Grammer, and we're told he wants to spend time on the West Coast to keep his relationship with the children intact.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is havin' a pretty good year -- despite GI Joe 2 -- because the former WWE star just bought himself a siiiiiiick new pad ... for $3.45 million.

The actor bought the 13,153 sq. ft. mansion in swanky Southwest Ranches, Florida -- from Miami Dolphins lineman Vernon Carey ... around Valentine's Day. The deal was brokered by The Campins Company ... owned by former "Apprentice" contestant Katrina Campins.

The VIP 5-bedroom, 7-bath palace features a ginormous swimming pool and even a home theater with its very own TICKET BOOTH -- where Rock can watch film classics like “The Scorpion King” and “Tooth Fairy" at his 275-pound leisure.

Justin Bieber is still on the hunt for an L.A. home, but he definitely has NOT put an offer on the $10+ million home Ashton Kutcher is currently renting.

Zillow.com and the Daily Mail are reporting Justin's buying the Ashton house (below). Not true.

TMZ broke the story ... Justin was looking at the Ashton home as well as 2 homes in Calabasas -- a suburb of L.A. but he hasn't made an offer on anything yet.

In fact, Justin's people tell us the Ashton house isn't even the frontrunner. Justin has now looked at 3 homes in Calabasas and he's looked at 2 of them more than once, but he's still not prepared to make an offer on anything and is continuing to look.

Two other points ... We're told Ashton is saying he wants to buy the house he's currently renting.

As for Justin, he's going on tour soon, so unless he finds the house he really wants ... he may rent for a while. The rich have such problems ...

We're told one of the estates Justin is eying has a $6 million price tag ... the other's on the market for a cool $8 mil.

The third home Biebs is interested in is in the Hollywood area -- a PIMPED OUT bachelor pad currently being rented by Ashton Kutcher. We're told that place is listed for $10 million.

Sources connected to Justin tell us ... he wants to buy one place for himself and one for his mother. The two CHEAPEST would cost $14 mil.

Yes, Paula Abdul is finally trying to sell her Sherman Oaks pad ... listing the home for $1.9 million.

The former "X Factor" judge dealt with some serious issues during her stay over the past few years -- she recently settled a lawsuit with a woman who claims she injured herself on Paula's driveway and back in 2008, a fan with a Paula infatuation OD'd on pills and died just down the street.

Vanessa Bryant and her kids were in New York City over the weekend, looking for a big ol' apartment ... TMZ has learned.

Real estate sources tell us ... Vanessa won't say if she's packing up and moving from California -- but she definitely wants to buy a place in NYC.

It's not exactly a sign that she's reconciling with Kobe Bryant, even though the two were kissing after the Lakers game on Valentine's Day.

Vanessa now owns 3 estates in Newport Beach, after Kobe transferred title to her as part of their divorce -- which has not yet become final. And, as we first reported, Vanessa will score a total of $75 mil in the settlement.

As for whether Vanessa would move away from California ... we're told she thinks Lakers fans and Lakers wives don't like her -- at least that's the way she perceives it.

No doubt ... if Vanessa did move, it would royally screw Kobe up. He still loves her, wants her back, and doesn't want his kids to live across the country.

Our real estate sources say Vanessa made it clear -- Kobe knows she's shopping in the Big Apple.

"Teen Mom" star Amber Portwood was tossed out of her Indiana home last month for scamming the government and mooching off taxpayer money -- this according to law enforcement sources.

Here's how it breaks down -- according to Amber's lease agreement, obtained by TMZ, the house she was renting in Anderson, Indiana had been subsidized by the state's "Low Income Rental Housing Tax Credit Program."

Problem is, in order to enroll in the program -- a prerequisite for moving in -- the reality star claimed she made roughly $10,000 a year ... MUCH less than what she actually earned in 2010 ... $280,000.

According to sources, Amber's massive income rendered her ineligible for subsidized housing -- no duh -- and that's the reason her landlords evicted her.

Rumer Willis' Hollywood Hills home has been burglarized ... and the thieves made off with roughly $10,000 in stolen goods -- TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Rumer's house is under construction and currently unoccupied. So far all cops know is that in the last 24 hours, someone entered through an outside gate ... slicing through a lock with a blow torch type device.

According to sources, the burglar entered the home and snatched up roughly $10,000 of the contractor's tools ... before taking off.

It's unclear if any of Rumer's personal belongings were also taken.

Halle Berry is gonna have to drop $50,000 PER MONTH if she wants to live at that kick ass Malibu beach pad she was scoping out the other day ... TMZ has learned.

Octomom is finally in the market for a new house and among her list of criteria ... enough room to fit her 14 children. Size really does matter sometimes.

As TMZ first reported, Octo put her La Habra home on the market back in September. So far she's received a few offers ... but none good enough to accept.

According to our sources, Octo has three main criteria for her new pad. First, she wants to find a place in a gated community to cut down on all the unwanted attention she gets.

Secondly, we're told Octo would like to find a place she can really afford (novel concept) since her last pad went into foreclosure.

Sound the alarms! Because this old firehouse is about to become the new Jersey City smush pad for Snooki and Jwoww while they shoot their upcoming "Jersey Shore" spinoff.

As we previously reported, the producers of their new MTV reality show obtained a permit to shoot at the firehouse ... under the condition that there MUST be at least 4 Jersey City police officers at the pad at all times.

In addition to the boys in blue, the 150-year-old firehouse comes with a pretty sweet kitchen, an accident waiting to happen cast-iron spiral staircase and bedrooms with doors labeled skank Office of the Battalion Chief and grenade Captain.

As if stalkers and court drama wasn't enough, Halle Berry is also having some serious problems with her home in the Hollywood Hills ... and now she's on the hunt for a new place to live ... temporarily.

Halle was spotted checking out some swanky beach pads in Malibu today ... and sources connected to the actress tell us she's looking for a short term rental while her Hollywood home is under repair.

We're told Halle wants to be in a safe and secure area ... especially with TWO dangerous fans on the loose.

As we previously reported, Halle ultimately wants to move to France to be with her fiance Olivier Martinez ... and she wants to bring her daughter with her ... but she needs a judge to sign off, first.

Snooki and Jwoww haven't lost faith in the Garden State just because Hoboken rejected them -- we're told they're still determined to find a New Jersey location for their new spin-off show ... no matter what.

Sources tell TMZ, producers behind Snooki's untitled spin-off with Jwoww are currently working round the clock to find a suitable Jersey replacement for Hoboken -- after the mayor denied their filming permit, citing a laundry list of obvious reasons.

No word yet on an alternative -- but we're told producers are currently eyeing a number of possible locations in South Jersey.

Kim Kardashian was so freaked after a strange man rang the doorbell at her Beverly Hills home last weekend -- she has decided to dump the property entirely ... and find a new house ... in a gated community.

Sources tell TMZ, Kim's currently house shopping in several exclusive gated communities in the L.A. area -- including Bel Air ... and Mulholland Estates, where both Charlie Sheen and Paris Hilton own houses.

She hasn't made up her mind yet -- but we're told Kim now refuses to live in any house that doesn't have round-the-clock gated security.
