Scott Shriner and the rest of Weezer are living embodiments of the axiom "the show must go on" ... 'cause they performed at Coachella mere days after Shriner's wife was arrested.

The beloved rock band hopped up to perform at the popular music festival in Indio Saturday ... and, they played some of the hits -- belting out songs like "My Name is Jonas" and "Hash Pipe."

Watch the clip ... Shriner looks focused on the music -- shredding alongside Rivers Cuomo onstage, a significant achievement given the difficult position his wife is in.

Erik and Lyle Menendez will get their day in court to seek a new sentence, and possibly win their freedom ... after an intense battle with L.A. County D.A. ended with the judge ruling in the brothers' favor.

The Menendez brothers appeared remotely in the L.A. County courtroom Friday where D.A. Nathan Hochman and his team of prosecutors presented their case to the judge for withdrawing the petition to resentence Erik and Lyle -- a petition that was filed by the previous D.A. George Gascon, and which the newly elected Hochman vehemently opposes.

The brothers -- wearing prison blues -- were seen on a video screen in court, and visibly reacted as prosecutors repeatedly stated that they had not changed since their conviction ... because they never admitted their claim they purchased guns in fear for their lives was a lie.

There seems to be a rash of female educators accused of having sex with their underage students across the U.S. -- and there doesn't seem to be any end in sight.

In the latest case, Dr. Keiva Lark -- the assistant principal of Lake Marion Creek Middle School in Polk County, Florida -- was charged Thursday with lewd/lascivious conduct and lewd offense against a student by an authority figure.

According to police ... the 13-year-old student was sent to Lark's office after tossing crumpled-up paper across a classroom during an exam.

Cain Velasquez was recently moved into his new home for the foreseeable future -- Wasco State Prison -- where he posed for a brand new mugshot ... which TMZ Sports has obtained.

Velasquez, 42, who was sentenced to five years in prison for attempted murder on March 24, was transferred from the county jail near San Jose to the Cali state prison in Wasco.

When the UFC legend arrived, prison officials ordered Velasquez to pose for another mugshot ... and he appears serious and stoic.

12:53 PM PT -- The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office confirmed in a news release Friday the use-of-force incident is under investigation. Officials said deputies were responding to multiple reports of a man walking in traffic and making obscene gestures at drivers Thursday night. The suspect, identified as Le Chau, allegedly began fighting with the female deputy who was first to arrive and who tried to handcuff the man. The fight went to the ground, and a second arriving deputy helped detain the suspect ... who allegedly ignored requests to stop resisting and fighting, resulting in the strikes to his head.

Chau was handcuffed and then treated at a hospital. When he was later booked for resisting an officer with force or violence, battery on a police officer, and disturbing the peace by intoxication, officials say, he again "initiated a physical confrontation" with deputies, resulting in more charges. The Sheriff's Office says Chau has been arrested more than 20 times since 2014, with multiple convictions for resisting an officer.

Law enforcement in Louisiana used a suspect's head as a punching bag during an arrest in broad daylight on a public street -- and the vicious beatdown was all caught on video.

Check out the wild footage, obtained by TMZ ... two cops are trying to restrain the man who is lying on his side on the the ground in Harvey, LA, in the New Orleans metro area, around 6:30 PM Thursday.

As you can see ... one the officers is kneeling down to cuff the man while the other cop is standing over him during the struggle.

The man who attacked Steve Buscemi on a New York City street last year reportedly offered an apology while being sentenced in the case this week ... though he tacked a caveat onto his mea culpa.

Clifton Williams -- the 51-year-old man who punched Buscemi in an east Manhattan neighborhood last May -- was sentenced to six months in jail, plus five years' probation for attacking Buscemi and another individual on the same day.

Williams pleaded guilty to the two attacks last month, and he apologized in court according to the New York Post ... though he did seem to indicate something went down between him and Buscemi to provoke the attack.

NFL Prospect Isaiah Bond Turns Himself In To Police Over Sexual Assault Warrant

Former Texas Longhorns star Isaiah Bond -- one of the top receiver prospects in the upcoming NFL draft -- turned himself in to police on Thursday over a warrant for sexual assault, TMZ Sports has confirmed.

A spokesperson for the Frisco Police Department told us the 21-year-old surrendered in the morning and was released a short time later after posting bond.

Further details surrounding the case were not made immediately available -- though Bond said in a statement Thursday afternoon the allegations against him are "patently false."

Our photog caught up with Scott as he walked his four dogs in their L.A. neighborhood Thursday, two days after his wife, Jillian Lauren Shriner, was injured in a police shooting and later booked for attempted murder -- for allegedly pointing a gun at cops and pulling the trigger.

"Our investigation revealed evidence such as a shell casing and video footage showing she repeatedly ignored police commands to disarm and that she fired her weapon at LAPD officers. She was subsequently booked for attempted murder of a peace officer."

We're learning more about the police-shooting incident involving Jillian Lauren Shriner, wife of Weezer bassist Scott Shriner, in L.A. this week ... and she's been released on $1 million bond after allegedly firing a single shot and being booked for attempted murder.

TMZ also obtained police-scanner audio, which provides new insight into Tuesday's crazy shootout between Jillian and the LAPD.

As you can hear, officers on the ground and helicopters flying overhead coordinate a response to search for a male suspect ... who apparently stripped down to his boxers and dove into a pool in an attempt to throw off the chase.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Emily Nutley will be a Tier III sex offender on the Ohio Sex Offender Registry, which is the highest designation, and that means anyone living within 1,000 feet of her home will be notified about her sex offender status.

Young Buck Arrested, Booked Into Tennessee Jail

Young Buck is back in a familiar spot ... a jail cell in Tennessee -- this time, it's over some missed meetings with his bond supervisor.

The G-Unit rapper was booked into jail Monday afternoon in Sumner County for 30 days, as seen in online records.

Eric Mauldin, Assistant District Attorney for Sumner County, TN, tells TMZ ... Young Buck was supposed to meet twice a month with his supervisor while on bond supervision, with GPS monitoring, for two cases -- a drug case and a domestic violence case.
