Rhett McLaughlin just got a temporary restraining order against a man whom he claims has threatened seriously violent behavior ... including a terrorist attack on the scale of 9/11.

The comedian/YouTube personality filed the TRO request earlier this month, claiming a man named Josiah Galvin had made repeated threats against him ... with this alleged online correspondence dating back to May 6.

In the docs, obtained by TMZ, Rhett alleges that Galvin threatened to commit a "911 attack" and blow up Rhett's offices -- which he allegedly identified by physical address. Rhett also claims this guy threatened to kill him specifically.

Diddy is missing some key milestones for his kids as his legal troubles mount -- and this week he'll be MIA for the latest one, involving his 17-year-old daughter Chance.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Chance is set to put on her cap and gown Thursday for her graduation from Sierra Canyon School in the L.A. area -- and while we're told other family members are flying in for the ceremony, her dad won't be present.

We're told Diddy's already communicated this news to the family, although he did not offer any exact reason for his absence -- but it can't be all that shocking to them.

Kellie Pickler has closed the chapter on a painful period of her life by selling her longtime Tennessee home -- where her husband, Kyle Jacobs, tragically took his own life.

According to property records, obtained by TMZ, the country singer closed on the 4-bed, 5-bath custom-built Nashville home on May 15 for $2.3 million.
