The Notorious B.I.G.'s mom, Voletta Wallace, is dead ... TMZ has learned.

Biggie Smalls' mother died Friday morning in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania ... according to Monroe County Coroner Thomas Yanac.

We're told she was in hospice care and the cause of death here is natural causes.

Tyga has been sitting on some gut-wrenching news ... his mother died last month, and his spirit has been unnerved in the wake of her absence.

T-Raww posted a touching tribute on Friday to his mom Pasionaye Nguyen, who passed away on January 18.

No cause of death has been released, but Tyga posted a pic of him holding his mom's with a hospital wristband attached, so it appears she was battling an illness.

LaMelo Ball made sure to stop by and see how his dad was doing prior to torching the Lakers on Wednesday ... saying "it was only right" to check in on LaVar after his recent foot amputation.

The Charlotte Hornets star shared the pic on Thursday ... showing him posing with his famous dad -- who was standing with help from a knee scooter -- at what appeared to be their Chino Hills home.

2/21 6:45 AM -- Weston Cage's attorney tells TMZ in response to the lawsuit ... "Ms. Fulton’s decision to file a lawsuit against her own son is not surprising given her past history of litigation against family members.

He continues in the statement, "It appears to be nothing short of a money grab and call for attention. Ms. Fulton correctly advised the responding LAPD officers that her son was in the midst of a mental health crisis at the time of this incident. We will deal with this appropriately, and in a courtroom."

Nicolas Cage is far from Father of the Year in the eyes of his ex, as Christina Fulton is now suing him for fueling their son's violent tendencies ... which she believes led to him attacking her.

Christina filed the suit against Nic and their son Weston Cage over Weston's brutal alleged beating of his mother in L.A. last April. As you might expect, she's suing Weston for assault, battery, negligence and infliction of emotional distress -- but the legal twist here is she also thinks Nic's negligence played a big role in the abusive incident.

In the docs, obtained by TMZ, she says Nic was well aware of Weston's history of mental and psychological disorders ... but instead of addressing it, the actor enabled it. Christina claims Nic gave Weston financial support, bailed him out of jail multiple times, but never pushed him into getting any professional help.

Singer Dave Matthews' mother has died ... TMZ has learned.

Valerie Matthews died February 9 in her Charlottesville, Virginia home. We're told Dave, his brother and his sister were by her bedside when she died.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Valerie’s health took a sudden decline at the beginning of February due to natural causes, and she went into hospice. Our sources say this was the reason Dave had to drop out of performing at the FireAid concert in the eleventh hour last month.
