Jen Aniston: Doggone Hero
Jennifer Aniston saved the day by pulling over after seeing a dog running around on Sunset Blvd.
Ironic, since her own dog was saved by photographers last week after being on the loose.
This time Jen stayed with the pooch while a photog hunted down the owner.
Yet another happier ending than "Marley & Me."
Vick: "Chickens ... Are Very Athletic to Me"
The next time Michael Vick calls you "chicken" -- take it as a compliment ... because dude believes they're "uncanny" thinkers and even more spectacular athletes. Seriously.
"People who abuse animals dont [sic] have a heart and find it amusing to see animals suffer."
"Chickens have an uncanny ability to think and are very agile. They are very athletic to me."
"My aunt Tina own a Rotti name Tico. Once my aunt and her boyfriend Wayne was having an intense fight ... [Tico] jump through a glass window & pinned my aunt boyfriend Wayne to the ground just growling ... Now that's loyalty."
After he took the test, PETA balked on an offer to shoot a TV spot with Vick after his lawyers insisted they support his return to the NFL.

"Sully" Gets the Bird in D.C.
According to Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger -- revenge tastes like chicken.
TMZ has learned the most famous pilot on the planet made his first public appearance in D.C. last night, at a low-key dinner with some members of his heroic flight crew and several passengers from Flight 1549. The name of the restaurant -- Hudson... Seriously.
Sully was a rockstar, shaking hands with a steady flow of admirers in the restaurant -- which by the way, is great.
Now the best part: As if to take revenge on the birds that brought down his jet, Sully dined on buttermilk fried chicken.
Aniston's Pooch Saved By the Pap
Jennifer Aniston's pup Norman got loose this weekend in Malibu -- but this story has an ending a little happier than "Marley & Me."
According to paps on the scene, Jen's Corgi-Terrier escaped from her home and almost got hit by a car. The paparazzi ended up rescuing the dog and taking it back to her house -- we're not sure if Aniston was home when it all went down.

DC Dog Crap -- Made from the Finest Ingredients
With people blowing cash left and right for the Obama inauguration, TMZ has learned even the dog poop on the DC streets will be some of the most expensive pieces of crap in the country.
We're told the Loews Madison hotel in DC is offering its canine guests a special meal on Inauguration Day -- and we're not talkin' about kibbles and bits. (The offer will go for the first 100 days of Obama -- and you can get the pooch package at all Loews hotels.)
People actually are paying good money to feed their spoiled rotten doggies pasta shaped like stars, sundried tomato fettucini, dried blue corn, and ground turkey -- prepared with olive oil of course.
The entire meal probably costs more than the paycheck of the guy who will clean up their mess.
Siamese Kitties Appease the Son of Celebrities
You're looking at the cutest, cuddliest birthday presents ever -- and they now belong to Kate Hudon's little boy.
Chris Robinson and his GF Allison Bridges adopted these Siamese kittens, Nano and Ruthie, as a birthday present for Robinson's son Ryder. The couple picked up the pair at a non-profit pet adoption clinic in Woodland Hills called Cats at the Studios -- their only request was the cats had "sweet personalities."
Mission accomplished.

Schneider's Christmas Wish Goes Unanswered
All John Schneider wanted for Christmas was his missing dogs back. Maybe next year.
A few weeks back, Schneider had his car stolen with two dogs -- intended as Christmas gifts for his kids -- still inside. The car was recovered, but the ten-week-old Yorkie named Paisley and the ten-week-old Yorkiepoo named Marley never were.
Schneider wrote in an e-card, "Sadly... No puppies came home. We all appreciate your letters of concern and good wishes."
Things might have gone awry with the new dogs anyway -- Schneider says, "Living in the woods with Coyotes makes it hard to keep up with little dogs anyway!"

Gallop Poll -- Painting Horse vs Artistic Elephant
These animals may not be able to tell the difference between a Picasso and a Rembrandt -- but that doesn't mean they can't smear paint around a canvas with the best of 'em (sliding scale).
Cholla -- a 23-year-old equine artist from Nevada -- was taught the brush stroke four years ago after watching his owner paint fences. Cholla's "art" has been featured in galleries across the world. Seriously.
Taj -- a 68-year-old elephant -- enjoys eating, painting and short walks around her cage at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in California.
But the real question...
More Crap on TMZ

Shark Commits Suicide on Water Slide
There's nothing quite like taking a cool trip down the water slide at the Atlantis Resort in The Bahamas, plunging into the refreshing pool at the end, and ... HOLY CRAP!! THAT'S A SHARK!
But it was all too real when hotel staff saw that one of the sharks from the famous resort aquarium had somehow jumped out of its tank and onto a nearby water slide -- where it managed to slide down into the pool.
It all went down before the pool opened Tuesday -- so nobody was in the water -- but here's where it gets tragic: A rep for the Atlantis tells TMZ the shark died a short time after swimming in the chlorinated water. Here's the heartbreaking statement:
"Yesterday morning at around 9:30 AM, prior to the resort's waterscape opening to guests, a 12+-year-old female reef shark jumped over an 18 inch wide and 1 foot high sustaining structure into the resort's Leap of Faith water slide.
The Atlantis Aquarists believe the shark was startled by an unusual circumstance that we have no way of defining completely. In the over ten years guests have experienced the Leap of Faith, the reef shark itself, harmless to humans as it is fed regularly by our staff, had shown no previous incidences of leaping out of the water in the marine habitat ...
Jumping the Shark -- The Deadly Flight Pattern
This pic should give you a better idea how a shark managed to jump from her tank and onto a waterslide in The Bahamas earlier this week.
FYI -- the slide goes through the shark area (the open air slide becomes an enclosed tube) and lets out in a small pool down below.
The female reef shark somehow cleared the 18-inch wide and 1-foot high barrier around the bottom of the Mayan Temple's Leap of Faith slide -- then slid down the rest of the slide and into an empty pool. It died from complications from the pool's chlorinated water.
The shark was at least 12 years old.
