Oprah Winfrey is distancing herself from Dr. Phil and Dr. Oz ... both politically and professionally ... saying everything they've done since her talk show launched their careers falls squarely on them -- not her.

Oprah defended herself in a new interview with Emmy Magazine ... after facing criticism for giving both men major platforms.

In explaining why she originally brought them onto "The Oprah Winfrey Show" back in the day, Oprah says Dr. Phil first impressed her while helping her through a tumultuous time in 1998, when six Texas cattlemen sued her, claiming she defamed the beef industry.

Oprah's legal team hired Dr. Phil ... and she says she quickly found him to be practical, down-to-earth and real. She says they rode in the car on her way to trial every day for six weeks, and he was so instrumental in helping her, she thought, "Oh, you could help a lot of people. You should come on my show."

Melissa Rycroft pleaded guilty in her DWI case in Texas ... and she won't spend another day in jail.

The former 'Bachelor' and "Dancing with the Stars" alum was sentenced last week after reaching a plea deal ... with a judge formally signing off on the agreement Monday ... according to court docs obtained by Us Weekly.

Rycroft was sentenced to 20 months probation, instead of 280 days in jail ... and ordered to pay roughly $2,000 in fines and court costs. She'll also have to complete 36 hours of community service, take a DWI education course, and undergo a substance abuse evaluation.

Jenna Ortega is opening up about the intense pressure she put on herself as a young actress ... revealing she would sometimes go an entire day without eating or even asking for a drink of water while working on set.

The "Wednesday" star opened up about her experience as a child actor in a new interview with Esquire, explaining that she was so excited and grateful to be working that she felt she had to stay completely out of the way.

Jenna says she essentially kept her "game face" on at all times ... even when it meant ignoring basic needs, adding, "I wasn't asking for a sip of water," and explaining how she could go all day without eating or drinking because she desperately wanted to avoid becoming a burden to anyone on set.

Jenna Fischer's standing behind her British doppelganger ... showing support for her 'Office' inspiration Lucy Davis after the Brit revealed she's dying of incurable cancer.

Jenna shared a kind comment on Lucy's cancer announcement post ... telling Lucy she loves her and saying it's important to normalize working while battling a disease, because it can provide comfort to some.

As you may know ... Jenna's beloved character Pam in the U.S. version of "The Office" is the American equivalent of Dawn Tinsley -- Lucy's character in the OG British show.

Lucy Davis -- a British actress best known for her role in the OG 'Office' TV show -- has cancer ... and treatment can't save her.

The star shared the sad news on Instagram ... posting a video of herself ringing a bell after completing cancer treatment -- though it turns out not to be the celebratory ring of remission, but simply a knell for her chemo treatment.

In her caption, Lucy writes that she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in 2025 after feeling a tiny lump, which she almost didn't get checked out. She says the cancer metastasized to some of her bones ... making it "incurable" -- far too late for chemo to make a difference.

The Florida police officer who was arrested after authorities said he used law enforcement cameras -- also known as Flock cameras -- to track a woman he met on the set of a Vince Vaughn TV show avoided jail time with a pre-trial intervention program ... TMZ has learned.

According to court docs obtained by TMZ, Lamar Eliseo Roman, who was charged with three felonies related to unlawful use of computers/systems, entered into an agreement with prosecutors that will keep him out of prison as long as he meets certain conditions.

He will have to keep his nose clean for 2 years, pay $1,700 in fines, perform 100 hours of community service, sign a statement of personal responsibility, and continue therapy.
