Anne Burrell's husband was the person who found her unresponsive and lying on the floor of their shower ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Burrell's husband, Stuart Claxton, found her unconscious in the bathroom early Tuesday morning.

We're told Claxton last saw her alive around 1 AM the night before ... then found her between six and seven hours later in the shower. He then called 911.

Anne captioned the post ... "I ran into @greenladyofbrooklyn in my neighborhood today!! I'm not going to lie -- I have been keeping an eye out for her. I may or may not have followed her down the street for a minute. She is just lovely!!!"

6:10 PM PT -- A rep for the NYC Fire Department tells TMZ ... the 911 caller reported that Anne went into cardiac arrest.

"Food Network" celebrity chef Anne Burrell has died in NYC ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... EMS personnel received a call of a woman in need of assistance Tuesday morning after Burrell was found unresponsive inside her Brooklyn home.

Paramedics were unable to revive Burrell and declared her dead. The medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine her cause of death.

Bryshere appreciates all the well wishes as he resumes working on his mental health. Both Bryshere and Chosen (Dustin) are doing fine. Mr. Gray loves all his fans and supporters.

"Their friendship is equivalent to brothers & this was not a payment dispute. This was an issue concerning Bryshere’s safety and health. We kindly ask for privacy as we are all working to find peace and move on from this matter."

Former "Empire" star Bryshere Gray allegedly lunged at a man and punched him at a hotel last Friday before assault charges were filed ... this according to the criminal complaint obtained by TMZ.

The alleged assault went down in Chesapeake, Virginia ... where a man named Dustin Wilkins was trying to help the actor with a payment dispute at the Homewood Suites.

Wilkins says he told Gray he can't just skip out on the bill for his stay -- reasoning he has plenty of other issues to worry about and that he was simply trying to "save" his life -- which seemingly angered Gray. It's unclear if the two men know each other.

Infamous televangelist Jimmy Swaggart has been hospitalized in critical condition after suffering a cardiac arrest over the weekend ... TMZ has learned.

The 90-year-old pastor was at home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, when he had a heart attack Sunday morning -- Father's Day -- according to his family.

"Without a miracle, his time is short," his son Donnie Swaggart said in a sermon later Sunday.
