William McNamara might be an actor ... but the only acting he did this week was acting like a hero -- 'cause he saved multiple animals left behind in the Pacific Palisades wildfire.

The longtime film and TV actor joined us on "TMZ Live" Friday ... and, we had a ton of questions about his animal rescue operations this week -- kicking off when officers closed the roads into the Palisades.

McNamara explains some people left animals at home and went out for the night ... and, when they tried to come back to rescue the animals, cops wouldn't allow them in.

Ludacris can tell anyone trying to meddle in his snowman game to 'Get Back' ... 'cause the guy's clearly an expert -- whipping up a Frosty out in the snow with his kiddos.

The rapper-turned-actor shared a series of photos online with his kids in the snow Friday ... posing alongside a little snowman -- complete with a carrot nose, twig arms and even a scarf.

In the photo, the house still stands, but it's surrounded by raging flames and flying debris, capturing the sheer scale of the chaos as they took one final, heart-wrenching look at their home before rushing to safety.

Keleigh’s next slide paints an even starker picture -- piles of rubble scattered across the ground, making it almost impossible to believe the home in the first photo once stood right there.

David Muir's new friend has his back ... no, it ain't the clothespin he's used to bunch up his coat -- it's a fellow TV pro, a weatherman admitting he does the same thing.

Greg Dutra -- an Emmy-winning meteorologist who works for the ABC affiliate in Chicago -- took to IG to defend the face of his network's national news desk after people online roasted the star for using a clothespin to seemingly make his coat fit his hunky frame better.

The veteran weatherman posted a photo to Instagram Friday taken from behind him in the middle of a live shot ... and, his coat is also cinched by a clothespin -- a move he says is pretty standard when reporting the weather.

The Kardashians fled their homes in Hidden Hills after a dangerous wildfire broke out in the nearby area ... threatening their neighborhood.

Sources tell TMZ ... as of Thursday night, Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, Kylie, Kendall, Kris and Rob all left their homes. The family followed the mandatory evacuation order that was issued due to the Kenneth Fire, which rapidly spread across 1,000 acres in a few hours.

While the evacuation order has now been lifted, our sources say it's unclear whether the Kardashians have returned home.

1/10 10:06 AM PT -- Hopkins just took to Instagram to address the devastation of the wildfires.

Another major celeb had his property ravaged by the Pacific Palisades wildfire ... this time it's actor Anthony Hopkins, whose home has burned to the ground.

Video obtained by TMZ shows the smoky remains of Sir Anthony's mansion, burned to its very foundation and reduced to charred rubble.

As we've reported, a ton of celebs -- along with a slew of other residents -- have seen their properties destroyed by the wildfires spreading across L.A. this week from the Palisades to Eaton to Pasadena and beyond.

2:50 PM PT -- Newsom's office tells TMZ ... "After hearing from Rachel, the Governor immediately spoke to President Biden and as a result of that call the President committed to covering 100% of the recovery costs for the next 180 days. That’s a game-changer."

The Governor's rep also says they spoke to Rachel in order "to connect her with recovery services, local support, and provide the latest information."

They add, "This was not a normal blaze. When this fire began, firefighters were battling flames fueled by 100mph hurricane-force winds against them."

According to Newsom's office, local officials say "three million gallons of water (enough water to cover 2 football fields in a foot of water) were stored in three large tanks for fire hydrants before the Palisades fire, but the supply was exhausted because of the extreme scale of the fire and extraordinary nature of this hurricane-force firestorm."

CA Gov. Gavin Newsom tried to use President Biden as a shield when a distraught wildfire victim confronted him Thursday -- but his efforts kinda blew up in his face.

The woman, a lawyer named Rachel Darvish, ran up to Newsom as he was getting into his car -- leaving a devastated Pacific Palisades -- and started hammering him with questions about everything that went wrong for firefighters ... and a Sky News camera crew captured the intense showdown.

Darvish demanded answers about why there was no water pressure in fire hydrants to help firefighters knock down the flames -- Newsom quickly responded by holding up his phone and telling her he was talking to President Biden at that very moment about getting aid to victims.

Kawhi Leonard is one of the lucky ones amid the devastating Los Angeles wildfires ... as his home in the Pacific Palisades is still intact.

TMZ Sports obtained a photo of Leonard's home taken on Wednesday .... and outside of some apparent ash layering the mansion, it is seemingly unharmed. We're told as of Thursday, it remains the same.

It's gotta be a huge sigh of relief for the Klaw ... as others in the area were less fortunate -- including Lakers head coach JJ Redick, whose Palisades house was lost due to the fires.

Adam Carolla is one of many people caught in the uncertainty of the L.A. wildfires, unsure if his Malibu home is still standing -- but he says, unfortunately, it comes with the territory when you live there.

The comedian joined "TMZ Live" from Las Vegas Thursday, where he's performing, and didn’t hold back ... saying if people choose to live in fire-prone areas, like Malibu, that’s their prerogative -- and he believes they will go back and rebuild.

However, he says he gets it if insurance companies don't want to cover people living in a "place that's gonna catch on fire every 15 minutes."

Former Olympic swimmer Gary Hall Jr. says fleeing from the L.A. wildfires this week was a horrifying experience -- as he had only seconds to get out -- and it's clear he's disappointed he couldn't save his Games medals as he hastily evacuated.

The 50-year-old -- who earned 10 pieces of hardware in the 1996, 2000 and 2004 Olympics -- sat down with Harvey and Charles on Thursday's "TMZ Live" to detail how he escaped the flames that have been ravaging L.A. this week ... and he said it was everything but easy.

Hall Jr. says the blaze came on him and his house so quickly -- he only had "probably tops of three minutes" to get some belongings and get out.

Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg are two lucky Hollywood stars ... 'cause both of their houses appear unscathed while the rest of their neighborhoods burn around them.

TMZ has obtained photos and video of the two properties ... showing Hanks' cliffside home and Spielberg's sprawling, wooded estate still standing.

Check out the clip ... the house just above Hanks' went up in flames -- with smoke still wafting in the air -- while Tom's pad stands without even a speck of ash on it.

Following yet another blaze that started Wednesday night -- this time in the Hollywood Hills -- HW exclaimed on X ... "THERE IS an ARSONIST here in LA . May you be beaten you unrecognizable !!! The pain you have caused !!!"

Here's the issue ... there's no way to know at this moment exactly where and how the series of fires started ... but an investigation is underway, an L.A. Fire official tells TMZ.

Thursday's contest between the Lakers and Hornets has been postponed ... as firefighters continue to battle flames all across Los Angeles.

The league just made the decision to move the game minutes ago ... writing in a statement no makeup date has been scheduled just yet.

"The entire NBA family sends its thoughts and support to the community of Los Angeles during this challenging time," the league said. "We are grateful for the thousands of local firefighters and first responders who have demonstrated enormous bravery. Our prayers remain with those affected by the unimaginable devastation caused by the wildfires."

Los Angeles Lakers head coach JJ Redick was among the many citizens who lost their homes to the devastating wildfires this week, according to reports.

The first-year manager revealed his family was forced to evacuate the Pacific Palisades amid the blaze earlier this week ... while sharing his loved ones were "freaking out."

Unfortunately for the former NBA vet, their house did not survive, Shams Charania said Thursday.

Jhené Aiko is the latest celeb to lose their home to the huge fires encircling Los Angeles ... but, thankfully, it sounds like everyone's safe, despite the scary image she shared.

Aiko posted about the news Thursday morning ... writing the home in Pacific Palisades she shares with her children and all their belongings burned to the ground -- and, now they've got to start from scratch.

Jhené also shared a scary picture of the fire overtaking her home ... flames consuming the living room in a pic she took from the street.

Aaron Samson spoke about their terrifying plight on CBS Mornings Thursday, revealing after seeing smoke and fire near his 83-year-old father-in-law's house, he knew they had to leave. There was just one problem -- they had no car.

Aaron quickly ran down the street, begging for help, and luckily found a neighbor who agreed to pick them up. He grabbed his father-in-law's meds and they hopped in the car.
