Cory Monteith's Mom

Klugman's Son is Wrong

My Son Deserves This

9/22/2013 9:15 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Cory Monteith's mom thinks Jack Klugman's son has it all wrong -- because Cory could have been the next Jack Klugman had he lived.

Ann McGregor thinks Adam Klugman is being unfair, telling TMZ her son is absolutely worthy of getting a special in memoriam honor at tonight's Emmy Awards ... even though Jack isn't getting one.

Ann tells us she believes you cannot judge worthiness by a person's age because her son was on a path of greatness -- not only with his acting and singing abilities ... but with the charitable work he did.

Ann tells us, "If he had lived 30 more years he would have accomplished much more."

Ann believes Adam Klugman is misdirected ... and thinks its coming from a place of a son who loves and misses his father.

FYI -- Ann isn't going to the Emmys tonight and won't even watch because she says it's too painful.

BUT HE DIDN'T!?!?!?!?!?

Sorry Mom. Your opinion is nonsense. You should have worked harder on the rehab for him if you wanted him around in 30 years to achieve greatness. As of now, he will just be remembered with the other handful of talented young artists of today.

So I wonder how she would feel if her son had lived for 30 years, had a great career and then wasn't given special recognition so some idiot druggie who did nothing and died could be honored instead.

Even the parents of these deluded narcissists are COMPLETELY OUT OF THEIR MINDS...

It is obvious that the producers of this show cannot make everyone happy on this issue of people that should be remembered. All that passed should be remembered. Perhaps a separate show that tries to touch on everyone lost in the previous year should be done.

All due respect Cory Monteith's Mom, "shoulda, woulda, coulda,. Your son doesn't even remotely, in the farthest canyon's of entertainment have the discipline, comedic strength and character, and just a full of life great nice guy; proven by his acknowledgement of achievements, yes now get this over time......!

So Cory Monteith, God Bless your spirit with the wish for peace to your soul, but...

You are no Jack Klugman

People are recognized by their accomplishments, not by what they might have, or could have accomplished. Montheith's mother is dead wrong.

So the big hole in this poor misguided mother's statement is Jack didn't die as a young man from a self induced over dose. Jack died after a full life of success and 3 EMMYS! This is th same mentality that got Obama a Nobel Peace Prize.

Exactly. Jack Klugman's work holds up tremendously. He was, also, very inspirational that he battled cancer again and again but still worked and faced it very bravely.

All of these awards shows are shams anyway. It's like the Nobel Peace Prize. They'll give it to anybody.

Team Klugman all the way. I loved Montieth on Glee, but to honor a druggie who refused to help himself by getting sober over a man that was on TV for what 40 years!? It's gross, and it's wrong.

It's for the many tweens or twenty-somethings would tune in for a Klugman or Hagman tribute? How many would tune in for Cory's tribute??? It's not rocket science. Watch the numbers plummet as soon as the tribute is over.

what a bitch. Would have, could have, should have. He was a druggie who died at his own hand. We don't know what he would have done in 30 years because of his own stupidity. (Sorry, we've known what drugs can do for decades now. He chose to do it anyway). We know what Klugman did though, and he should have been honored above a druggie.

The next Jack Klugman? She must be on more dope than her son was when he was alive because he could NEVER, EVER be the next Jack Klugman. There was and only will be ONE Jack Klugman
