Gordon Hayward Suffers Gruesome Ankle Injury ... During Celtics Debut

10/17/2017 5:53 PM PDT
Breaking News

WARNING ... this is one of the most disgusting sports injuries you'll ever see.

NBA star Gordon Hayward suffered a brutal lower leg injury just 5 minutes into his Boston Celtics debut against the Cleveland Cavs Tuesday night ... and it's absolutely cringeworthy.

Hayward went up for an alley-oop from new teammate Kyrie Irving when he landed hard on the court. He was immediately tended to by medical personnel and was taken away on a stretcher.

No official word on how long he'll be out ... but it doesn't look good.

Johnny Depp Sues Lawyers for Malpractice

10/17/2017 5:14 PM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Johnny Depp claims the law firm that represented him for years betrayed him by conspiring with his financial manager who Depp claims fleeced him out of $40 million.

Depp is suing the highly respected entertainment law firm, Bloom Hergott Diemer Rosenthal LaViolette Feldman Schenkman & Goodman, LLP ... claiming the lawyers allowed TMG -- Depp's financial managers -- to essentially rob him blind.

Depp has TMG, but now he says his law firm were in cahoots with TMG, which took out enormous loans unbeknownst to debt and secured by the actor's movie residuals. When the residual payment were made to Depp, they were diverted to repay the loans.

The suit claims the law firm built in its fee in the loans and skimmed the money off before Depp was entitled to his money.

And the suit claims the law firm knew fully well what TMG was doing but never alerted Depp.

And get this ... Depp claims during his long relationship with the firm he's paid them tens of millions of dollars in attorney's fee yet the firm never had him sign a retainer agreement.

We reached out to Bloom, Hergott ... so far no word back.

Odell Beckham Jr. hopped out of bed a week after undergoing ankle surgery and the look on his face says it all -- it ain't no fun.

The New York Giants WR was seen for the first time since suffering a horrific left ankle injury last weekend against the San Diego Chargers. He was leaving his crib in crutches and a large walking boot and on his way to physical therapy.

United Airlines 2 Officers Fired In Violent Passenger Removal

10/17/2017 2:07 PM PDT
Breaking News

The officers who violently dragged a passenger off a United Airlines flight have been canned and a third has resigned ... 6 months after the violent incident was caught on video.

The Chicago Dept. of Aviation on Tuesday released a report outlining why it fired an officer, sergeant and suspended 2 others for their role in savagely dragging Dr. David Dao off Flight 3411 at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport back in April.

The incident threw United into a massive PR crisis that was compounded after CEO Oscar Munoz said he fully stood behind the crew's actions. Munoz subsequently apologized.

In the Inspector General's report, the IG said one officer was fired for improperly escalating the incident while a sergeant was 86'd after removing facts from an employee report.

Dao -- who later settled with United for an undisclosed amount -- suffered a concussion, broken nose and lost 2 teeth. Following the news, Dao's attorney, Thomas Demetrio, said "This is not a day of celebration for Dr. Dao, who is neither vindictive nor happy about Mr. Ferguson's findings. There is a lesson to be learned here for police officers at all levels."

Hailey Baldwin Leather Weather? ... Hell YEAH!

10/17/2017 2:20 PM PDT

Hailey Baldwin is hell-bent on leather ... even in hellish-like weather.

The model was seen rocking an almost fully leather ensemble Tuesday in Bev Hills, where temps are supposed to reach the upper 80s.

That's not a problem for Hailey, apparently -- she was decked out in leather Bermuda shorts and a leather jacket ... plus heels, of course. On a positive note, she did manage to show some skin even under all the cow ... always a good thing, if you ask us.

Looking fine at 86 degrees ... no sweat.

O.J. Simpson Parties Like It's 1995 w/ F. Lee Bailey

10/17/2017 2:18 PM PDT

O.J. Simpson's inner circle now includes a blast from the past ... F. Lee Bailey.

O.J. and his former famed criminal defense attorney in the murder trial had dinner Monday night at the Palms Hotel in Vegas. A lot's changed since Bailey and Simpson's famous "Dream Team" helped O.J.'s acquittal in 1995.

Simpson, of course, just got released from prison. As for Bailey ... he was disbarred in 2001 and is reportedly broke.

So ... no way the Juice will ask for legal advice or money, right?

'Project Runway' Finalist Mychael Knight Dead at 39

10/17/2017 1:35 PM PDT
Exclusive Details

Former "Project Runway" finalist Mychael Knight died Tuesday morning in a Georgia hospital ... TMZ has learned.

Knight died after recently checking into the hospital. We're told he'd been getting treatment for intestinal issues when he passed at around 7:30 AM. While it's still unclear what caused his death, a few months ago Mychael revealed he'd been battling IBS -- irritable bowl syndrome -- and made it clear it was wreaking havoc on his immune system.

Knight was famous in the fashion world after his successful run on season 3 of 'Runway' ... going on to launch his own lines of clothing and lingerie. He also once designed for Starbucks, and even created his own fragrance brand, MajK.

Knight placed fourth during his season on 'Runway,' and won the Fan Favorite Award as well.

He was only 39.

Harvey Weinstein to Board 'I'm Sorry ... I Have a Real Problem'

10/17/2017 1:28 PM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Harvey Weinstein was apologetic and contrite during the Board of Directors meeting Tuesday when he resigned under pressure from the Board ... sources connected to the meeting tell TMZ.

We're told there was no screaming, no yelling, no anger. Harvey Weinstein told the Board, "I have a real problem," and then apologized for the "trouble and confusion" he caused TWC.

We're told Weinstein, who was on speaker phone from Arizona, told the Board he needed to build a new life and move on.

Our sources say everyone sounded conciliatory ... partly because the handwriting was on the wall.  The Board made it clear Weinstein had a legal obligation to resign from the Board after it ratified his firing from TWC. He did just that.

Harvey, we're told, was "peaceful" during the meeting and Bob was subdued.

We're told the sense of the Board is that Harvey Weinstein will not force his firing to arbitration or court.

Our sources say both Harvey and Bob Weinstein have an overriding interest in making sure Colony Capital succeeds in restructuring the company -- money. The each have roughly 21% equity interest in TWC, and if the company fails, they walk away with nothing.

As one source put it, "Harvey and Bob have a huge stake in making sure Colony Capital can put Humpty Dumpty back together again."

Blac Chyna Sues Kardashians for Torpedoing Reality Show ... Network Calls BS

10/17/2017 12:33 PM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Blac Chyna is now suing the entire Kardashian family saying they were responsible for putting the kibosh on her reality show with Rob, costing her a fortune -- but E! sources are saying that's BS, and there are emails that prove it.

Chyna claims the Kardashians interfered with the shooting of "Rob & Chyna" to the point E! network pulled the plug, claiming production was impossible. In the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Chyna says the network, the production company and the stars of the show -- herself and Rob -- were all on board to shoot a 2nd season.

According to the suit, the Kardashians used their "power and influence over the E! network to kill the second season." However, our network sources say the couple split at the beginning of the show's first season, so a second was doubtful from the beginning.

However, sources connected to the network tell us they have documentation showing the reason the show was not picked up is because Chyna was making it impossible -- she refused to be in the same room as Rob ... so there would be no plausible way to shoot another season.

We're also told E! was unhappy with anemic ratings.

Chyna is also suing the family for battery over her claims Rob brutalized her during an April domestic violence incident. In the suit, she says Rob grabbed her phone, knocked her to the ground ... and she ended up calling her son King's nanny for help. She claims Rob flipped out and tore her bedroom door off at the hinges.

She also claims Rob repeatedly threatened to kill himself, and the suit includes text messages where Rob says things like, "I'm literally on the verge of killing myself and u couldn't care less." She's also included a photo she says is Rob's hand filled with pills he was threatening to take to kill himself if she didn't immediately respond to his text.

Harvey Weinstein Resigns After Ultimatum By Board

10/17/2017 11:19 AM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

11:42 AM PT -- Sources with direct knowledge of the Board meeting tell TMZ, under Weinstein's contract after he was fired from the company there was a 5-day "cooling off period" to let the dust settle. After 5 days the matter goes to the Board of Directors which then must ratify the firing. That's what happened today. The Board ratified Weinstein's firing.

We're told under the terms of Weinstein's contract once the Board ratifies the firing he must resign from the Board. If Weinstein refused to resign the plan was to remove him -- in effect, fire him from the Board. Weinstein decided to resign.

The big, open question ... will Harvey Weinstein take legal action for the ousting? As we reported, his lawyer, Patty Glaser, vowed to either force TWC into arbitration or file a lawsuit. We're told the Board feels its case is airtight. As one source connected to TWC put it, "We're not worried at all."

Harvey Weinstein has resigned from the Board of Directors of The Weinstein Company, after the Board gave him a clear ultimatum ... either relinquish your role, or be fired ... sources tell TMZ.

Our sources say Weinstein's decision to resign from the Board does not affect his grievance that he was illegally fired from TWC. As we reported, Weinstein's lawyer, Patty Glaser, was present in the Board meeting and she has made it clear ... she thinks her client's contract did not give the company the right to fire him, and unless the company submits to arbitration she will file a lawsuit.

As we reported, Colony Capital, which is in negotiation to buy TWC, plans to  change the name, get new partners and Bob Weinstein will no longer be running the show.

The New Weinstein Co. Bob Weinstein Pushed to the Back

10/17/2017 11:02 AM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

There is a full-court press underway to save The Weinstein Co. from bankruptcy, and the plan is bad news for Bob Weinstein but good news for a number of women who may be making legal claims.

Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ, Colony Capital, which is negotiating to buy TWC, has a very detailed plan, which starts with changing the name of the company. We're told Tom Barrack, who runs Colony, believes the most viable asset is the TV side, although there has been an exodus by companies like Netflix and others. Barrack believes, with a new cast of characters, he can salvage some of the TV business.

We're told the plan is to let Bob Weinstein run Dimension Films, owned by TWC, but he will not be involved in running TWC in any way. As one source said, although Bob is a major shareholder, the plan is this ... "Bob will gently go."

We're told Barrack has his eye on a big partner ... among the contenders, Lionsgate, MGM, and William Morris Endeavor. One source said, "There are a dozen other big players that are interested in becoming partners."

We're told once the new partnership is put in place, and hopefully they get back some of the distribution platforms that fled, the company will start making money ... money that will pay claims made by third parties, including some of the women who say Harvey Weinstein sexually harassed or assaulted them.

And, we're told, if a new company is formed, it will happen quickly. As one very connected source put it, "If it doesn't happen within 2 weeks, it's not going to happen at all, and The Weinstein Company will be history."

Harvey Weinstein About to Be Fired From Board of Directors

10/17/2017 10:36 AM PDT
EXCLUSIVE

Harvey Weinstein is about to be fired from the Board of Directors of TWC ... literally within minutes of this post ... sources connected with the meeting tell TMZ.

We're told the decision was made days before Tuesday's meeting ... that the company could not survive with Harvey involved in any way.

We're also told the Board does not feel it's required to go into mediation or arbitration with Harvey Weinstein ... that it has a right to summarily fire him with no appeal from the fallen mogul.

It appears this could end up in litigation, because other connected sources have made it clear Harvey Weinstein's lawyer, Patty Glaser, will file a lawsuit for wrongful termination if the company refuses to submit to arbitration.
