'Sesame Street' Creators Sue 'Happytime Murders' Producers ... You're Smearing Our Good Name W/ Ejaculating Puppets

5/25/2018 11:52 AM PDT
Breaking News

2:10 PM PT -- Fred, Esq, a rep for STX -- who also happens to be a puppet -- tells us, "STX loved the idea of working closely with Brian Henson and the Jim Henson Company to tell the untold story of the active lives of Henson puppets when they’re not performing in front of children."

Fred continues, "Happytime Murders is the happy result of that collaboration and we’re incredibly pleased with the early reaction to the film and how well the trailer has been received by its intended audience.  While we’re disappointed that Sesame Street does not share in the fun, we are confident in our legal position.  We look forward to introducing adult moviegoers to our adorably unapologetic characters this summer.”

This lawsuit is brought to you by the letter F because the creators of "Sesame Street" are downright Furious with producers for "The Happytime Murders" ... alleging it's taking a crap all over its good name.

Sesame Workshop is suing STX Productions -- the company behind Melissa McCarthy's new movie -- claiming its marketing strategy confuses fans into mistakenly believing Sesame is in cahoots with the movie while ruining its wholesome image.

In docs, obtained by TMZ, Sesame says its beef is with the marketing campaign that features the tagline "NO SESAME. ALL STREET" and a trailer with "explicit, profane, drug-using, misogynistic, violent, copulating and even ejaculating puppets."

What's more ... Sesame says STX does not own, control or have the right to use "Sesame Street." Sesame says it's tried to get STX to drop the act but to no avail.

So it's suing to get STX to drop the tagline and unspecified damages. We've reached out to STX ... so far no word back.

J. Cole & Lil Pump Come Face to Face ... Squash 'F*** J. Cole' Beef

5/25/2018 11:33 AM PDT

J. Cole and Lil Pump have buried the hatchet in their ongoing feud ... and as it turns out, the whole thing really started about nothing.

J. Cole just released footage from a recent discussion he and Pump had in an effort to put their differences behind. If you weren't following along ... Pump released a snippet of a song called "F*** J. Cole" a couple months back, and Cole responded with "1985."

Both rappers' fan bases went back and forth for a while ... with the crowd at a recent J. Cole show erupting into a "F*** Lil Pump!" chant

In the clip, Cole questions LP about the origin of his hate -- to which Pump explains was really just comments his fans made -- there's no real ill will.

So, just like that ... beef squashed.

D-Wade & Gabby Strike A Pose In The South of France

5/25/2018 9:58 AM PDT

Dwyane Wade's best buddies LeBron James and Chris Paul are still in the hunt for an NBA Championship ... but D-Wade's doing just fine with wifey Gabrielle Union.

Gabby and the 3-time NBA Champ soaked up the sun in the South of France Friday ... and Union was totally hamming it up for the camera. Wade -- who just wrapped his 15th season in the league -- acted as Gabrielle's personal photographer while she posed on the rocks and in the water.

Dwyane got in on the photo shoot too, posing for a selfie with his wife of 4 years.

It's unclear if Dwyane will be back for another season ... but by the looks of things, retirement is gonna be pretty sweet.

James Caan We're in a Strange Place Men Can't Hit on Women Anymore

5/25/2018 7:10 AM PDT

James Caan says society is in a strange place ... because it's nature's way that men and women are supposed to be attracted to each other.

We got the movie legend Thursday night in WeHo leaving Craig's, when our photog asked about sexual misconduct allegations against Morgan Freeman.

Caan clearly supports Morgan, but then raised a larger issue.  He's suggesting that the rules of the road when it comes to men and women have changed, and he thinks it defies natural instinct.

Paris Hilton I'm a Hopeless Romantic!!! Fiance's Surprise Proves It

5/25/2018 7:26 AM PDT

Roses are red.

Violets are blue.

Who cares if you're richer than bae.

Cuz he still got these roses for you.

... is probably what Paris Hilton was thinking as her fiance surprised her with a bouquet of roses.

We got Paris outside The Dream Hotel on Thursday night and wanted to talk wedding. We asked where she was headed on her honeymoon and what how hard it is to pick bridesmaids. Then, out of nowhere, Paris' fiance Chris Zylka surprises the hell outta Paris ... proving romance ain't dead, at least not if a camera's rolling to document brownie points.

Still ... Paris melts. We see you, Chris.

Reggie Bush to President Trump 'Stay In Your Lane'

5/25/2018 10:10 AM PDT

Reggie Bush says President Trump has no idea what in the hell he's talking about by suggesting players who don't stand for the National Anthem should be booted from the country.

We got the former NFL star leaving TAO Thursday night in Hollywood and wanted to get his take on Trump supporting the new NFL policy on the national anthem. Remember, Trump told "FOX & Friends" co-host Brian Kilmeade, "You have to stand proudly for the national anthem or you shouldn't be playing. You shouldn't be there ... maybe you shouldn't be in the country."

Watch ... Bush says it's a huge deal because it's a clear violation of the First Amendment and rips 45 for not having a clear grasp of many issues. Case in point -- free speech.

What's more ... Bush says Trump's got bigger fish to fry and tells him, "Stay in your lane."

Harvey Weinstein Surrenders To NYPD ... Charged with Rape, Sex Abuse with 2 Women

5/25/2018 6:31 AM PDT
Breaking News

Harvey Weinstein just turned himself into the NYPD and walked out in cuffs on the way to court ... where he has been charged with rape, a criminal sex act, sex abuse and sexual misconduct for incidents involving 2 separate women.

Weinstein arrived to the NYPD's 1st Precinct Friday morning flanked by marshals and was then taken to court in handcuffs where he was scheduled to be arraigned.

According to the complaint, Weinstein was charged with "engaging in sexual intercourse with another person by forcible compulsion."  That is the basis of the rape charge involving an unidentified woman.  The allegation ... on March 18, 2013, "defendant kept informant physically against her will in a room and engaged in sexual intercourse with informant by forcible compulsion, to wit, defendant penetrated informant's vagina with his penis and, at the time of the incident informant had clearly expressed her lack of consent to the act."

The incident involving the other woman -- Lucia Evans -- involved a 2004 incident where "defendant forced informant to engage in oral sexual conduct, to wit, defendant grabbed the back of informant's head forcing her head downward and forcing her mouth onto his penis."

Weinstein's bail was set at $10 million ... he was released after posting $1 million cash and was fitted with a monitoring device which will track his movements. If he wants to travel beyond New York or Connecticut, he has to get approval from the judge.  He also surrendered his passport.

Although Weinstein didn't enter a plea today, his lawyer, Ben Brafman, says, "Mr. Weinstein has always maintained that he has never engaged in non-consensual sexual behavior with anyone. Nothing about today's proceedings changes Mr. Weinstein's position. Mr. Weinstein maintains that he is Not Guilty of the charges filed today and is confident that he will be fully exonerated."

Brafman said Weinstein may be guilty of bad behavior but not criminal conduct, adding his client did not invent the casting couch ... it's been around for a long time.

The judge also issued a temporary order of protection ... prohibiting Weinstein from contacting one of the alleged victims.   It's unclear why the order was not prohibiting contact with both accusers.

The NYPD released a statement, saying, "The NYPD thanks these brave survivors for their courage to come forward and seek justice."

Evans is just one of dozens of women who have come forward with allegations against the disgraced movie mogul.

The U.S. Attorney in NYC is also investigating Weinstein but so far they have not filed charges.

Nicki Minaj 'Yes' ... I'm Dating Eminem

5/25/2018 8:17 AM PDT

Nicki Minaj just sent the internet into a frenzy, confirming she and Eminem are a couple.

Minaj has been on a social media tear lately, promoting new music and her upcoming album. She posted a clip on Instagram Thursday rapping along to her verse on YG's "Big Bank." One fan commented on the video asking Minaj, "You dating Eminem???" ... Nicki replied with a simple, "yes."

It's possible Minaj is just kidding, she mentions Em in the song, saying "Told 'em I met Slim Shady, bag the Em.Once he go black, he'll be back again."

Nicki and Eminem have teamed up before ... both appearing on her track "Roman's Revenge" in 2010.

Minaj dated Nas for several months before splitting back in December, she famously dated Meek Mill prior to that.

Larry King Calls BS on Morgan Freeman Sexual Misconduct Allegations

5/25/2018 6:58 AM PDT

Morgan Freeman's got one staunch supporter in the midst of sexual misconduct allegations ... Larry King says Morgan didn't do anything.

We got Larry and his wife, Shawn, leaving Craig's in WeHo on Thursday night where they shared their views on several topics ... including Harvey Weinstein turning himself into NYPD and Stormy Daniels.

That led to Larry saying Shawn doesn't like the #MeToo movement before taking it back. And then that unprompted Larry to say the whole Morgan Freeman situation is terrible and seems to back the actor.

As we reported ... Morgan's being accused of sexual harassment or misconduct by 8 women over several years. Larry's not buying the allegations and says he wants to hear more before pointing a guilty finger.

Lady Gaga Redder Than An Erupting Volcano

5/25/2018 6:59 AM PDT

Lady Gaga stepped out in NYC last night in a not-so-subtle red number that gave us flashes of Kilauea.

The singer rocked a pair of retro shades, draped herself in diamonds and donned silk gloves as she made her way into an event. Gaga's red ruffle dress was designed by Christian Siriano.

The 32-year-old later took the stage at Rose Bar at the Gramercy Park Hotel to belt out a few tunes. No word as to whether or not fiance Christian Carino was in attendance.

Gaga's film "A Star Is Born" -- with Bradley Cooper -- is set to release in October ... she's been keeping a fairly low profile in recent weeks.

Given the film's release and an expected massive press tour it's unlikely Gaga -- just like Kilauea -- has no signs of slowing down.

Bishop Michael Curry Love is the Way, Prez Trump!! God Hears Us, Do You?

5/24/2018 10:37 PM PDT
Breaking News

The Holy Spirit came a knocking for President Trump Thursday night ... in the form of royal wedding preacher Bishop Michael Curry.

The standout star of Prince Harry and Meghan's big day was part of a candlelight vigil in the Capitol that included prayer and song outside the White House. The Bishop told us their goal was spreading a message of "love of God and love of neighbor."

We asked him the $64 million question -- was POTUS paying attention? Bishop Curry assured us a high power was definitely listening to their prayers.

The Bishop's become a bit of an international rockstar since the royal wedding, and he's clearly striking while the iron's hot ... taking his message straight to the leader of the free world. Still, he made it clear the vigil was NOT about politics.

Sure, he had 600 wedding guests and a TV audience of millions believing "love is the way" -- but if he can make DC politicians buy it, we might have a new leader in the clubhouse for a Nobel Peace Prize.

Travis Scott Tells Santa Fe HS Students 'Y'all the strongest people on this earth'

5/25/2018 6:30 AM PDT

Travis Scott gave a huge shout out to the Texas school shooting victims with a powerful message.

The rapper and Houston native had a mic in hand as the Rockets honored Santa Fe High School before Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals. After a moment of silence and the Santa Fe HS choir singing the national anthem, Travis wanted the spotlight directly on the Santa Fe HS students sitting in the crowd before delivering this speech.

Travis also gave a shout out to first responders and school officials. As we reported ... the lone gunman opened fire last week at the Houston-area high school and killed 10 people ... including 8 students. It was the Rockets' first game at Toyota Center since the tragedy.

Stormy Daniels Her Bodyguards Abused Abbey Patrons ... And Stiffed The Club

5/25/2018 6:11 AM PDT

Stormy Daniels was a "delightful guest" Wednesday night at The Abbey in WeHo ... on the other hand, her bodyguards were thugs who were rude, aggressive and cheap ... this according to the club.

Abbey management reacted to the video we shot, showing her hired muscle getting super aggressive with photogs, flipping them off and swearing.

Management said it didn't stop once they got inside ... "Her security detail was a disaster.  They were rude to many of our guests, they were aggressive with several of our staff, they were shoving press outside and being generally rude."

And the complaints didn't stop there ... "They also walked out on their bill and didn't tip the server ... We've heard from many of you that they were taking your cell phones away.  If your cell phone was taken by her security detail, please file a report with the West Hollywood Sheriffs immediately."

So far no one has filed a police report.
