Anthony Hopkins is opening up about the terrifying night that forced him to face his battle with alcoholism.

During an appearance on The New York Times' "The Interview" podcast, the Oscar-winning actor recalled the moment he hit rock bottom. "I was drunk and driving my car here in California in a blackout, no clue where I was going, when I realized that I could have killed somebody. Or myself, which I didn’t care about," Hopkins said.

He continued, "I could have killed a family in a car, you know." That realization, he said, was the moment everything changed. "I realized that I was an alcoholic, and I came to my senses," Hopkins said. Soon after, he saw a former agent of his at a Beverly Hills party and confessed, "I need help."

Allen Iverson says alcohol is not the answer -- the NBA legend just revealed he quit drinking half a year ago ... and he's loving the results!!

The Hall of Famer sat down with Maurice DuBois on CBS Mornings on Tuesday and opened up about his new lifestyle while promoting his memoir, "Misunderstood."

Iverson, 50, said that while his NBA legacy speaks for itself, his greatest victory was giving up drinking.

It's usually good vibes in Flavortown ... but Guy Fieri revealed he experienced a major bummer when two truckloads of his Santo Tequila was stolen last November in an interview for "60 Minutes," which aired in October 2025.

Here's what went down ... Fieri, who cofounded Santo along with Sammy Hagar in 2017, received a call from the company's president, who let him know a considerable amount of their product -- 24,000 bottles, to be exact -- had disappeared, according to CBS News.

Santo's higher-ups had hired a logistics company to deal with the transportation of its products, and the organization hired a trucking company, which then hired another two trucking companies, which in turn hired drivers ... it's a lot, we know.

6:10 PM PT -- Melissa's lawyer Bret Martin tells TMZ ... "I want to remind the public of the fundamental principle of our justice system…every individual is presumed innocent until proven guilty. We, as a society, have gotten completely away from this fundamental concept. My Client was arrested  on the allegation of Driving While Intoxicated. An arrest is no indication of guilt."

He continues ... "It is imperative that we closely examine the circumstances of this case-including the conduct of law enforcement, the toxicology results, and the facts surrounding her arrest-before any conclusions are drawn. We respectfully request that the media and the public allow the legal process to unfold, and withhold any judgment whatsoever until all of the evidence has been properly analyzed and presented in a court of law."

Melissa Rycroft was arrested for driving while intoxicated this month ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... the former 'Bachelor' star was busted for DWI in the Dallas/Fort Worth area on September 23. We're told she was taken into custody and booked into the local jail, where she sat for 8 hours before being released. She posted a $1,000 bond with a promise to appear in court.

The exact details of her arrest remain unclear at this point, but what is clear .. she's now facing a court date in connection with the charge.

A baby raccoon got another chance at life after a trash dive went sideways ... and all the credit goes to one animal-loving nurse, who used her skills to save the kit.

Misty Combs, a nurse from Kentucky, tells TMZ ... she was going about her day when she and her coworkers spotted a raccoon in crisis in the parking lot of the Letcher County Health Department -- where she works as an RN.

The health department is notably located next to a moonshine distillery, where the baby raccoon and another little one got into the dumpster ... as you can see in pics provided by Combs.
