The son of 'Pioneer Woman' Ree Drummond faced legal trouble months before his arrest for assaulting a police officer and possession of drugs -- with the famous chef’s son also accused of biting an officer's hand last year ... TMZ has learned.

According to court docs, obtained by TMZ, Jamar Goff, who Ree began fostering in 2018, was accused of biting the hand of a detention or correctional officer in May 2025.

At the time, Jamar said he was homeless and had just started working at McDonald's.

Presley Gerber was found in a bedroom inside the Santa Monica sober living home where he died ... TMZ has learned.

Sources close to the investigation tell TMZ ... Presley's body was near the bed when he was found on Sunday. Our sources indicate Presley's body was not on the bed, but they could not clarify the exact location he had been found.

We're also told fentanyl has not come up in the investigation thus far, though the Medical Examiner's toxicology testing will ultimately determine what was in his system.

Presley Gerber should have been turned away from the sober living home where he died of a suspected overdose and, instead, sent directly to a detox center ... a move people in his world think would've saved his life.

Multiple sources familiar with the situation tell us ... when Presley arrived Saturday evening at the sober living home in Santa Monica -- apparently under the influence -- staffers should have refused to admit him, because the house is not a detox facility.

We're told Presley should have been mandated to complete a medical detox program to ensure no drugs were in his system before he was admitted to the home ... or some other outpatient facility setup for detox.

Kaia Gerber is being comforted by friends amid the tragic death of her brother, Presley Gerber ... and influencer Jake Shane is among those offering support.

Shane was photographed arriving at Kaia's Los Angeles home Tuesday evening, just days after Presley died.

George and Amal Clooney also visited Kaia's home Tuesday to support the grieving family.

B2K singer Raz B was frantic and heartbroken on the 911 call after finding his 3-month-old son unresponsive ... repeatedly begging dispatchers to send help.

TMZ obtained the call from the morning Astro Monte Thornton died ... with Raz telling the operator, "My son died. My son is not breathing."

Raz pleads, "Please hurry up," as the dispatcher tries to confirm the address and Astro's age.

Dr. Drew thinks Presley Gerber shouldn't have even been in a rehab facility to begin with ... he thinks the model should've been sent to a psychiatric hospital.

We had Dr. Drew on "The TMZ Podcast," and he told us Cindy Crawford's son might have done better in a hospital environment ... because he believes Presley was in over his head managing all of the meds the model reported he was on.

Presley was reportedly taking what Dr. Drew calls a "deadly combination" ... mixing Suboxone, a drug used to treat opioid addiction, with benzos -- a combo Presley himself apparently admitted to taking in a since-deleted 2025 Instagram video.

Presley Gerber's former girlfriend Lexi Wood is remembering the late model for being "incredibly resilient" and fighting "so hard for his life."

The "Summer House" alum shared a post Tuesday honoring Presley, looking back at the time she spent with the son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber.

Lexi says ... "It's hard to put into words what it means to lose someone who was such a meaningful part of my life for so many years."

She says Presley "fought so hard for his life and he was brave enough to be open about that fight. More than anything, he wanted to use his story to help other people, and he did."

Charles asked Nick if people should be surprised that Presley did not appear sober when he checked in the night before he died.

Nick tells us many addicts are intoxicated when they arrive after one last night of partying, and sobriety isn't always a precursor to getting into a rehab facility.

Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ ... KJ was released within the last several days and is now living with Kim, who has full-time care of him.

As TMZ first reported ... prosecutors in KJ's criminal case recently filed emergency docs asking a judge to order forensic interviews with "minor children." No other details were provided.

Nick Reiner says a large chunk of the money locked up in his trust should be off-limits in the fight over whether he gets access to the funds ... because it came from his famous grandfather, late actor Carl Reiner.

Court docs obtained by TMZ show Nick's legal team is arguing California's Slayer Statute -- that basically says no one should profit from their own crime -- does not apply to money Carl left him because Nick is not accused of causing his grandfather's death.

According to the filing, a substantial portion of the funds currently held in Nick's trust came from Carl's estate plan, which included similar distributions to his other grandchildren.

Police investigating Presley Gerber's suspected overdose interviewed other people living at the rehab facility where he died as they try to find the source of the alleged drugs that potentially killed him ... TMZ has learned.

Sources close to the investigation tell TMZ ... the probe is in its early stages, but one of the first orders of business is finding out if Presley took drugs, and where he got them.

We're told authorities are looking into whether or not Presley was prescribed the drugs he allegedly took or if he got them from a dealer or friend ... and finding the potential source is key.

Our sources say cops have already conducted interviews with folks who were at the rehab facility when he died.

Presley Gerber suffered cardiac arrest before he died at a Santa Monica rehab facility ... with emergency dispatch recordings also pointing to an apparent overdose.

People reports dispatch recordings show a call went out at 9:35 AM Sunday for a cardiac arrest at the facility. A separate dispatch alerted first responders to an overdose at the same address.

As TMZ previously reported, Santa Monica police officers found Presley unresponsive and provided life-saving measures. He was pronounced dead just 10 minutes after the initial call, at 9:45 AM.

Presley Gerber checked into rehab the night before he was pronounced dead from a suspected drug overdose ... TMZ has learned.

Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ ... the 27-year-old model entered the Santa Monica luxury rehab facility on Saturday night ... only hours before police found him unresponsive on the property.

The facility provides treatment for people dealing with substance-abuse issues, mental-health problems, trauma, and other medical issues. 

Presley Gerber and his famous parents were all smiles in what turned out to be his final public appearance ... and he looked happy, sandwiched between Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber.

Cindy and Rande posed for pics with their only son at the We Are ENOUGH x Aviator Nation launch event in Malibu on June 11 ... a little over three months before Presley died in a Santa Monica rehab facility.

Presley's parents were there to show full support for their son, who was on a panel with others talking about mental health.

Presley, who started modeling as a teen, discussed his addiction to various medications and said he finally realized at age 23 he had "enough." 

9/21/2026 9:03 AM PT -- The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has released a statement regarding Presley Gerber's death saying ... “The investigation is still ongoing and there is limited information available,” the statement continued. “Death was pronounced at 09:45 hours on September 20, 2026, by responding paramedics. The Santa Monica Police Department is the investigating law enforcement agency.”

9/21/2026 8:20 AM PT -- Sources tell TMZ ... Presley Gerber died of suspected overdose.

Presley Gerber, the son of Cindy Crawford, has died at 27 ... TMZ has learned.

According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner, Presley died Sunday at a rehab facility. An autopsy has yet to be completed.

When reached for comment on Presley's passing, a rep for Cindy, her husband Rande Gerber, and their daughter Kaia Gerber confirmed to TMZ that Presley passed away earlier today. The rep says, "The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time."
