Dr. Drew says Britney Spears needs to focus on two key areas of her life after her DUI arrest ... substance abuse and bipolar disorder.
The good doc joined us on "TMZ Live" Friday and we asked him about Britney firing her sober coaches in the weeks leading up to her DUI bust.
Dr. Drew says sober coaches aren't the solution ... he says Britney's best bet would be to address her addictions with treatment, and that in turn would help with her bipolar diagnosis.

The Michael Jackson Company won a major legal battle this week ... because a judge has ordered a civil case -- centered around alleged sex trafficking -- be handled out of court and in a private setting
Remember ... Frank Cascio and his siblings -- former family friends of the late pop star -- are suing his estate for more than $200 million, alleging they were victims of child sex trafficking by Jackson in the 1980s.
The siblings previously came to a settlement agreement with the Jackson estate ... and, as part of that settlement, the judge found Cascio and company signed off on handling disputes like this in private arbitration, as opposed to the public court system.
Britney Spears Biopic Still 'In the Zone,' Arrest Won't Have Impact
Britney Spears has some hurdles in front of her after her recent DUI arrest ... but at least her biopic won't be impacted.
A source with direct knowledge tells TMZ ... the biopic based on her best-selling memoir "The Woman In Me" is still in development ... so the arrest won't affect the project.

Writer and actor Stephen Hibbert -- whose best-known role was The Gimp in 1994's "Pulp Fiction" -- has died, TMZ has learned.
A family member tells TMZ ... Hibbert died of a heart attack in Denver, Colorado on Monday, March 2. He was 68.
His children Ronnie, Rosalind and Greg said … "Our father, Stephen Hibbert, passed away unexpectedly this week. His life was full of love and dedication to the arts and his family. He will be dearly missed by many."
Britney Spears DUI Arrest Jail Time On The Table ... Pills Found Possibly Laced With Narcotics
Britney Spears had pills in her possession when she was arrested for DUI ... and TMZ has learned those pills are in the process of being tested, and the results could theoretically mean jail time.
Sources familiar with the situation tell TMZ ... the pills were Adderall -- something she got while recently in Mexico. Our sources say one of the reasons Britney goes down to Mexico so often is to obtain the drug.
Our sources tell us ... those pills will be tested to determine if they contain pure Adderall or an additional substance. It's not uncommon that certain drugs obtained in Mexico are laced with fentanyl, cocaine, meth or other substances.

The PBA is weighing in on the situation involving Crowe, with a spokesperson telling us they're "aware of the reports regarding Cameron Crowe."
They added ... "We will not be commenting while the judicial proceedings take place and Mr. Crowe is being placed on an indefinite suspension, effective immediately."
Professional bowler Cameron "Cam" Crowe -- who is featured in Ben Stiller's upcoming HBO documentary "Born to Bowl" -- has been arrested on drug-related charges, TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement tells TMZ ... 24-year-old Crowe was booked into the Hamilton County Jail in Indiana Thursday just before 2 PM and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of cocaine. He was arrested during a traffic stop by the Carmel Police Department, we're told.
He was released Thursday.
Influencer Ash Trevino Arrested for Violating Bail Conditions ... After December Fraud Arrest
Influencer Ash Trevino ended up back in jail for allegedly violating her bond conditions ... TMZ has learned.
According to court documents, prosecutors in Texas filed to hold bond insufficient on February 24 ... alleging Ash drank alcohol on one occasion and purchased it on another -- which they say violated her bail agreement.
She was booked on March 4 and released later the same day ... the judge ended up revoking her original bond and setting new bond at $25K ... and again ordered her not to possess, purchase or use controlled substances, alcohol or firearms.
Trevino also has a curfew from 8 PM to 6 AM ... which will be enforced through the use of an ankle monitor. Regardless of the time of day, Trevino cannot go anywhere that mainly serves alcohol.

James G. Robinson -- the longtime film producer movie buffs might remember for his public feud with Lindsay Lohan -- has died, TMZ has learned.
We're told Robinson passed away "peacefully" on February 15.
Robinson broke into the movie business in the mid-1980s after proudly serving in the United States Army and having great success in the automobile industry. He produced numerous films -- many of them comedies -- over the next four decades through his company Morgan Creek Entertainment, which he cofounded with Joe Roth.

2:15 PM PT -- Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Sports Dillon Brooks' DUI arrest was not related to alcohol.
Phoenix Suns player Dillon Brooks was busted for DUI Friday morning, TMZ Sports has learned.
Authorities tell us ... the small forward was pulled over in Scottsdale around 1 AM for traffic violations. After an investigation, Brooks was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence.
He was taken to Scottsdale City jail and processed ... and was released from custody around 3:30 AM.
Britney Spears Fired Sober Coaches Before DUI Bust
Britney Spears showed her sober coaches the door weeks before getting arrested on suspicion of DUI.
Sources with knowledge tell TMZ ... Britney fired the sobriety coaches after she signed a deal selling her rights to her music and after she returned home to California following a trip to Los Cabos, Mexico.
We're told Britney's team also fired other people who were looking out for her ... including security guards who kept an eye on the pop superstar.
Ex-Louisiana Mayor Misty Roberts Registers As Sex Offender, Poses For New Mug Shot
Misty Roberts -- the disgraced former Louisiana mayor -- is extending her 15 minutes of infamy by posing for a new mug shot Thursday after she registered as a sex offender.
As you can see, Roberts was in no mood to smile as her picture was snapped during the process of registering as a sex offender in Beauregard Parish, LA, which includes DeRidder -- a small city of about 10,000 people -- where Misty was mayor until the scandal broke.
On Tuesday, Roberts she was convicted at trial of two felonies -- carnal knowledge of a juvenile and indecent behavior of a juvenile. She was also required to register as a sex offender with the state.
Kevin Federline Facing His Own Legal Issues ... Amid Britney's DUI Trouble
Britney Spears’ ex-husband Kevin Federline was hit with a lawsuit over an allegedly unpaid credit card bill just weeks before the pop star’s arrest ... TMZ has learned.
According to court docs obtained by TMZ, K-Fed was sued by Bank of America on February 19 in Hawaii.
The bank alleges the one-time DJ owes $12,186.64 ... but has failed to pay up on the bill.
The suit said Kevin opened his account in December 2024 …. which would be one month after Britney made her last child support payment to him for their sons, Jayden and Sean.
