Kansas City Chiefs

Taylor Swift took home a big win at the MTV Video Music Awards Wednesday night – but the biggest winner was her BF Travis Kelce who wasn't even in the room!

The pop megastar snagged the VMA for Video of the Year for her tune, "Fortnight," and was handed her trophy by none other than the show's host Megan Thee Stallion.

Taylor stepped up to the mic onstage to give a speech thanking the people who helped her create the music video.

Donald Trump's recent praise for Patrick and Brittany Mahomes isn't resulting in a public endorsement ... 'cause the Kansas City Chiefs superstar said he's going to keep his political preferences to himself ahead of the election.

Mahomes met with the media on Wednesday as the team prepares for its upcoming matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals ... and during the presser, he was asked about Trump name-dropping his fam after Brittany showed support for the MAGA movement on Instagram.

The Chiefs quarterback sidestepped the question ... saying he will use his platform to encourage people to vote -- but not WHO to vote for.

The Chiefs sure looked like the best team in the AFC once again on Thursday night -- but Shawne Merriman tells TMZ Sports anyone who thinks the Chargers can't knock them off is simply delusional.

The Bolts legend didn't mince words when we caught up with him on Friday -- just hours after Kansas City knocked off Baltimore in a thrilling season-opener -- saying straight up, "If you're looking over the Chargers in this division, you're crazy."

Of course, Merriman's a bit biased -- he's remained a huge Chargers supporter even in retirement -- but he's adamant the feeling around this year's Los Angeles team under Jim Harbaugh is just different.

Taylor Swift may not have had her BFF Brittany Mahomes by her side on Thursday night, but that didn't stop her from letting loose at the Chiefs game ... check out new video TMZ Sports has obtained from her evening in her suite seats -- she was going nuts!!

Swift -- who eschewed one of her normal chairs at Arrowhead Stadium next to Patrick Mahomes' wife for a spot adjacent to Travis Kelce's parents -- was seen throughout Kansas City's opener rooting on her man and his teammates vs. Baltimore very enthusiastically.

Before the start of the game, she could be seen pressing her hands against the luxury box's glass to get pumped up.

Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes may be on the outs ... because they sat in different suites at the Kansas City Chiefs home opener -- and politics could be to blame.

The pop superstar watched boyfriend/tight end Travis Kelce lead the Chiefs to a 27-20 victory against the Baltimore Ravens from inside a crowded suite at Arrowhead Stadium.

Brittany, on the other hand, took in the game with her little daughter Sterling Skye from a different suite, keeping an eye on her hubby -- Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Patrick Mahomes ain't just the best player on the Chiefs, he might be the top teammate too ... 'cause he went to epic lengths to make sure star rookie Xavier Worthy didn't lose his first-ever NFL touchdown ball.

Check out the quarterback's actions following Worthy's 21-yard scamper to the endzone in the first quarter of Kansas City's season-opening win over Baltimore ... No. 15 barely celebrated the six points -- and instead, raced toward an official.

Mahomes had apparently realized the 21-year-old dropped the pigskin in the big moment ... and he went to retrieve it for the 2024 first-round pick before it was lost.

Baltimore Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely absolutely unloaded on a heckling fan after narrowly losing to the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday ... firing back by screaming out, "f*** you, bitch" -- and it was all caught on camera.

The wild moment went down minutes after the Ravens' 27-20 loss ... a game that ended with Likely's toe landing out of bounds in the back of the end zone when Baltimore tried to tie things up in the final seconds.

24-year-old Likely -- who had a stellar night with nine receptions, 111 yards and a touchdown -- was fuming over the failed comeback ... 'cause when a presumed Chiefs fan yelled out "you stink" as he made his way through the Arrowhead Stadium tunnel, he lost his cool.

Travis Kelce's reps are on the ball when it comes to shutting down this viral Taylor Swift breakup rumor ... even enlisting legal help to tackle the drama head-on.

Here's the skinny ... an alleged "Comprehensive Media Plan" from the NFL star's reps at Full Scope Public Relations made the rounds online Tuesday night, seemingly suggesting Travis and Taylor's "Love Story" was all fabricated for press -- and that there was even a plan to break up on September 28.

It didn't take long for the one-sheet to go viral online ... especially since so many Swifties believe the pop star has finally found "The One" with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.

Taylor Swift appears to really be entering into her offensive coordinator era ... Travis Kelce just confirmed she is, in fact, drawing up Chiefs plays!!

The popstar's boyfriend broke it all down on "The Rich Eisen Show" on Tuesday -- just days after his quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, said Swift has been working on some X's and O's on the whiteboard.

Kelce revealed his boo takes everything she does seriously -- and that includes her football fandom -- so she is, indeed, learning how to move chess pieces around the gridiron.

Brittany Mahomes is doubling down on her love for Donald Trump ... liking a comment on her most recent Instagram post that appears to show she's firmly throwing her support behind the Trump-Vance ticket.

The wife of Patrick Mahomes found time to like the comment Wednesday on her sponsored post, which highlighted some Chiefs items from Abercrombie & Fitch.

This marks the second time in as many days that Brittany has made it clear who she plans on casting her vote for ... as she liked a post from the 45th president on Instagram -- but eventually unliked it.

Travis and Jason Kelce's bank accounts are reaching "new heights" -- 'cause the pair of NFL brothers just inked a lucrative, new podcast deal worth more than $100 million.

Reports of the contract were made public on Tuesday ... stating the Kelce bros. reached a three-year contract with Amazon's Wondery for ad sales and distribution rights, according to Variety.

The deal will officially kick in on Wednesday ... right before the start of the 2024-25 NFL season.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's love story's heating back up ... 'cause they're side-by-side again after weeks apart -- cuddling up at her beach house.

TMZ has obtained photos from Taylor's Rhode Island home ... capturing the pair appearing just over the edge of her balcony as they soaked in the salty air coming off the Atlantic.

The pics are taken pretty far away ... but, there's Kelce, recongizable mustache and longer hair slinging his arms around Taylor as the two reunited for some much-needed time together after weeks apart.

Travis Kelce's stardom continues to rise ... the Chiefs All-Pro tight end will have a cameo in the sequel to one of the best and most beloved comedies ever -- "Happy Gilmore 2" !

Adam Sandler himself revealed the news on Tuesday when he was a guest on "The Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon ... who asked about cameos in the upcoming film.

"We have a nice something for Travis," Sandler said. "He's gonna come by."

Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes look in midseason form already ... 'cause the two just connected on a crazy behind the back pass.

The play happened just moments ago during the Lions vs Chiefs preseason game ... on third down with three yards to go, Mahomes scrambled to his right -- before flicking the ball toward his main receiving threat.

TK's able to get the first down and more ... ending up just inside the Lions' 25-year-line -- a nice little chunk of yardage from one of the weirdest plays we'll probably see this preseason.

Chris Jones is gunning to spring a convicted chicken wing thief from prison ... the Chiefs superstar has offered to pay $1.5 million after a cafeteria employee was sentenced to 9 years behind bars for stealing 11k cases of Buffalo's favorite food!

68-year-old Vera Liddell, who worked at an elementary school in a Chicago suburb for nearly a decade, plead guilty to stealing millions in flats and drums over 19 months ... when she was in charge of ordering the food.

Ultimately, Liddell was caught during an audit ... when officials realized the school had gone way over their food budget.

Harrison Butker just addressed his controversial commencement speech with a roomful of Chiefs reporters for the first time since he made the polarizing remarks ... and he was adamant he is NOT a misogynist.

In fact, the Kansas City kicker insisted he's actually the opposite ... telling media members at Chiefs' training camp practice Wednesday, "I love women."

Of course, there were plenty who felt differently after the 29-year-old said at a talk to Benedictine College graduates back in May that a woman's "most important title" should be "homemaker."
