Hayden Panettiere's death is causing concern for Greenville, SC residents, who fear the actress is just the latest tragic example of the opioid crisis ravaging their city.

An addict-turned-advocate who lives in the area tells TMZ ... laced drugs and fatal overdoses have been a serious concern in Greenville for years, particularly in the area where Hayden died last Sunday.

She says the area's developed a reputation as a place where people can party and easily obtain drugs ... alleging some residents even have drugs delivered to their doorstep.

Hopefully, Margaret Qualley didn't put her foot in her mouth at "The Dog Stars" movie premiere ... but if she did, at least no clunky shoe would be in the way.

The actress showed up to the premiere of her new flick in London on Thursday wearing a gorgeous black dress and some controversial footwear ... a pair of Chanel shoes with no soles.

Margaret's shoes are very minimalist ... just a couple of block heels and some ankle straps.

Jamie Foxx says he was having conflicting emotions about having a baby at 58 ... until a Hollywood icon who's going through fatherhood all over again as an octogenarian told him it's all good.

It's funny, Jamie says his old buddy Al Pacino actually made him feel better about having another child later on in life.

Jamie told E! News he was "on the fence" about having a baby at his age ... until he bumped into Al, who is raising a toddler at 86 ... and their hilarious interaction put him at ease.

Daveigh Chase's father wants a judge to deny her mother's request to be appointed as the administrator of her 6-figure estate ... TMZ has learned.

According to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, John Schwallier opposes Cathy Chase's motion to be appointed the administrator of the 'Ring' star's estate.

Instead, the docs say Schwallier nominated a woman named Megan Boling -- who describes herself as a neutral licensed professional fiduciary -- to object to Cathy's petition and take on the job instead. If that's denied, the docs request the appointment of a public administrator.

The docs note Daveigh was emancipated from Cathy as a minor due to "allegations of financial irregularities" by Cathy ... and they were "separated" ever since.

The filing says Daveigh was actually "estranged" from both parents at the time of her death, which is why a neutral administrator should be in charge.

Footage shows the exterior of Judson Mill Lofts ... with perfectly manicured lawns, exposed brick, and large glass windows. Inside, you see long hallways with high ceilings and green doors.

To be clear, we don't see inside any of the residences -- or the specific unit where Hayden was found -- but it gives a better sense of the property where first responders rushed to Sunday afternoon after getting a call about Hayden being in cardiac arrest.

Hayden Panettiere would have turned 37 today ... but sadly the celebration will be more of a remembrance.

As TMZ previously reported ... the "Nashville" star had big travel plans to be with her daughter in Germany today ... as part of a trip she told her friends she was ecstatic about.

Unfortunately, Hayden never got to make the trip.

Brian Hickerson is breaking his silence following the death of Hayden Panettiere ... but he isn't saying much.

Brian's attorney, Sloan Ellis from the Ellis Hinton law firm, tells TMZ ... "Hayden's death remains under investigation and it is important to allow that investigation to proceed."

The statement continues ... "As has been publicly reported, police confirmed there were no signs of foul play."

It ends ... "Out of respect for Hayden's loved ones and the ongoing investigation, there will be no further comment at this time."

A "Scream" mask now sits among the flowers and signs outside the South Carolina apartment complex where Hayden Panettiere died ... with fans paying tribute to one of her most memorable roles.

Video from outside the Judson Hill Lofts in Greenville shows a growing memorial for Hayden ... including more than a dozen bouquets and flower arrangements.

But the "Scream" mask stands out ... with the words, "Thank you Special Agent Kirby Reed," written across it -- a nod to Hayden's character in the horror franchise.

Hayden Panettiere's mom says someone toxic drove a wedge between them ... and she appears to be pointing the finger at Hayden's boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, for her daughter's death.

Lesley Vogel addressed her estrangement from Hayden in a statement shared with "Entertainment Tonight," saying ... "Although my daughter and I were estranged, it was not for lack of care or love."

She continued ... "It was due to the involvement of a toxic individual who I believe led to her death."

Neutrogena took all it could take ... and finally had to scrub away at all the hate the company was getting in the wake of Hayden Panettiere's death -- and her history with the skincare brand.

Neutrogena broke its silence in a Thursday post on social media ... saying the company was deeply saddened by her death and "understand that we made her feel unsupported." The company also said a "significant investment" would be made to a healthcare partner -- thereby giving more help and support to women suffering from postpartum.

If you don't know ... Hayden was the face of Neutrogena for several years -- but that all came to a screeching halt after she talked about her postpartum depression back in 2015 while a guest on "Live! with Kelly and Michael."

Hayden Panettiere was apparently struggling to stay sober while filming one of her final movies ... and her director says things got so concerning, her team discussed staging an intervention.

Griff Furst -- who directed Hayden in the 2025 movie "A Breed Apart" -- says Hayden was "fighting to stay sober" during production ... and claims her team reached out to him about taking part in an intervention.

Furst says he agreed to participate ... but, to his knowledge, the intervention never ended up happening.

Anna Faris says she quit alcohol because booze has a ton of negative effects on her ... and she's trying to break out of old patterns.

The UCLA psychiatric hospital where Robert Carradine attempted suicide failed to follow key safety rules designed to protect patients like him ... according to an investigative report from a federal government agency.

TMZ obtained the newly filed report from the Department of Health and Human Services, which found UCLA's Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital was not in compliance with federal requirements for patient rights and nursing services.

Investigators say the hospital failed to follow its policy of checking in on Robert every 15 minutes as required ... and found that staff also failed to keep contraband out of his room.

That included the belt Robert ultimately used in his suicide attempt ... along with a bedside table.
