The actor took a few questions alongside his 'Super Mario Galaxy Movie' costars Anya Taylor-Joy and Keegan-Michael Key in Tokyo for the comedy podcast "Tintoria" ... and he was asked specifically who his favorite Luigi is "in recent American history?"

The trio of celebs immediately break into grins ... because it's clear what the hosts are fishing for here, and Day, who play's Mario's brother, Luigi, doesn't disappoint.

He says he's top of the Luigi game, but Mangione comes in second.

Actress Taryn Manning was facing legal issues in court weeks before her epic fight with her on-again, off-again girlfriend, Holly Hartman, TMZ has learned. 

According to court docs obtained by TMZ, the "8 Mile" actress was sued by a company named PDS Adjustment for breach of contract in January 2026.

Mary's daughter Molly Schrader -- who Mary shared with her Oscar-nominated writer-director husband Paul Schrader -- tells TMZ ... Mary passed away yesterday morning from Alzheimer's in Jersey City.

The late actress was surrounded by family, including Paul.

On Facebook, Paul and Molly reportedly released a joint statement, writing, “She was an actress, a wife, a sister, a mother, an aunt, a friend, and she took on all those roles with grace and kind ferocity."

Director Kristoffer Borgli is coming under fire after Reddit users started circulating scans of an essay he wrote for a 2012 issue of the Norwegian magazine D2. In the article, he apparently admits he had recently been in a relationship with a teen girl ... and he was 27 at the time of writing.

On Thursday, The Hollywood Reporter published a version of the essay translated from Norwegian to English. In the translation, Borgli writes he'd begun seeing a girl "ten years younger" than him, saying ... "I had to find something that could recalibrate my moral compass."
