James Comey has turned himself in on Wednesday, after being indicted for allegedly threatening Donald Trump through a photo of seashells.
The former FBI director surrendered himself over to law enforcement before appearing for a brief hearing in Alexandria, Virginia ... and was reportedly in and out of court within 10 minutes.
There were no conditions of release set when Comey left court Wednesday ... and he wasn't asked to enter a plea, reports say.
In fact, his lawyers are reportedly planning to file motions against Trump's Justice Department ... telling the judge the DOJ was selectively and vindictively prosecuting their client.
ICYMI ... Comey posted a pic last year of a series of seashells arranged to read "86 47," implying he wanted to "86" the 47th president.
The DOJ argues this is a threat of violence against DT ... however Merriam-Webster says "86" is a slang term "meaning 'to throw out,' 'to get rid of,' or 'to refuse service to.'"
The ex-FBI boss had deleted the post because he didn't intend to imply he wanted Trump's presidency to come to a violent end ... but was still slapped with an indictment Tuesday that accused him of threatening DT.
This new indictment is Comey's second in 7 months ... and comes after Trump sacked Pam Bondi as attorney general and replaced her with Todd Blanche.
Rumor has it Bondi was ousted because Donald wanted her to be more aggressive in going after his enemies ... and Comey reportedly made that list.
When he was last indicted in September, it was for other charges -- making false statements and obstruction related to oral testimony -- that were ultimately dismissed.
So far, no date's been set for Comey's arraignment ... and it'll be interesting to see if anything sticks this time.
Especially since Matt Gaetz used that same slang when talking about how former Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy, former RNC chair Ronna McDaniel, and former Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell had all stepped down or been ousted from their positions.
And as far as songs go ... Taylor's not in the Top 20 at all. The Weeknd takes the cake there with "Blinding Lights" going down in history as Spotify's most-streamed song of all time.
Erika Kirk was supposed to join J.D. Vance as he headlined a Turning Point USA event at the University of Georgia Tuesday ... but she backed out last minute after allegedly receiving "very serious threats."
Instead, TPUSA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet sat in for her, explaining to the VP -- and the audience -- why Charlie Kirk's widow didn't show.
Kolvet said ... "Mr. Vice President, I’m on stage here instead of our friend Erika Kirk because unfortunately she has received some very serious threats in her direction."
He added ... "It’s a terrible reflection on the state of reality and the state of the country."
Erika herself acknowledged her absence on X, saying she had been "looking forward" to the event ... but explained, "after all our family has been through, I take my security team’s recommendations extremely seriously."
Candace Owens, however, is not buying it. She accused Erika of backing out due to "bad ticket sales," telling her in a reply ... "Stop. This is exhausting."
Candace continued ... "People don’t believe you and don’t line up for you because you struggle to tell the truth about even the most basic facts. Where is the video of Charlie appointing you as CEO weeks before his death?"

Candace argued the Secret Service wouldn't have allowed Vance to follow through with the event if there was "a viable threat."
She slammed Erika's "s*** Public Relations team" as the actual threat, saying they "operate under the delusion that they are smarter than the public."
To Candace's point ... there were tons of empty seats at the TPUSA tour stop.

Multiple videos circulating social media show the arena mostly empty, allegedly just minutes before the VP was supposed to take the stage.

In the newly-released 911 call from his February 27 disappearance -- obtained by Law&Crime Network -- Susan McCasland Wilkerson tells the dispatcher that she has "some indication that he planned not to be found."
She said Neil changed his clothes, turned his phone off and left it behind ... which she noted "seems kind of deliberate, because he's always got his phone."
Taylor Swift fans are crying their eyes violet with tears of joy ... because the pop star just dropped the music video for her song "Elizabeth Taylor."
The surprise visual is comprised of clips ofElizabeth Taylor -- the track's namesake -- from various films she starred in over the course of her illustrious career.
You don't see Taylor's face once ... instead, a compilation of ET's most iconic scenes and dazzling diamonds.
This comes hot on the heels of the trademark suit she's facing from Vegas showgirl Maren Wade -- who's claiming Taylor's "The Life of a Showgirl" album is infringing on her brand, "Confessions of a Showgirl."
Waiting for your permission to load the Twitter Tweet.
But don't expect Tay to get sued this time -- at the end of the clip, the singer makes sure to credit every film she included, detailing where she got the footage.
She even thanks House of Taylor, which is run by three trustees of Elizabeth's estate and "preserves and sustains Elizabeth Taylor's legacy through content."
The new music video isn't available on YouTube ... just streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music.
According to Billboard, YouTube views haven't counted towards chart placement since January ... which might explain Swift's decision to only release the vid on platforms that do.

A Nestle spokesperson joked about the thieves' "exceptional taste" in a statement, saying ... "We’ve always encouraged people to have a break with KITKAT — but it seems thieves have taken the message too literally and made a break with more than 12 tonnes of our chocolate."
KitKat themselves took to Instagram to shed some light on the heist and post an official statement.

It explained the chocolate was nabbed during a distribution run between their Central Italy factory and the shipment's destination in Poland. KitKat added ... "There are no concerns for consumer safety, and supply is not affected."

The new album -- the first since the boy band went on hiatus in 2022 -- debuted with 641,000 equivalent album units earned, according to Billboard. The mag says this is the biggest album sales week for a group in over a decade.
In fact, this is the biggest week for an album since Taylor Swift dropped "The Life of a Showgirl" in October, according to the outlet.
Sophie Turnerwon't be raiding any tombs for a little while -- her upcoming "Tomb Raider" series has been halted because the actress is injured.
In a statement to Deadline, an Amazon MGM Studios spokesperson said Sophie recently suffered a "minor injury" saying ... "As a precaution, production has briefly paused to allow her time to recover. We look forward to resuming production as soon as possible."

Five Guys CEO Jerry Murrell would much rather give workers a big bonus than take a bullet.
He doled out $1.5M in bonuses to his employees after a birthday burger BOGO deal completely backfired ... and seemed to crack a Luigi Mangione joke in the process.
In a phone call with Fortune, he quipped ... "I didn’t want anybody shooting me in the back or anything."
When the promotion launched last month -- in celebration of Five Guys' 40th birthday -- stores were so mobbed, they ran out of food ... which stressed out crews and pissed off customers.
Murrell mused they "really screwed it up," saying ... "We had no idea that we were going to get that kind of response."
He joked he almost used the money to spoil his wife with "a new fur coat," adding ... "I spent it on [the bonus] instead. She still looks at me like I’m stupid."
But jokes aside, he said the decision to give back to his employees was "worth it," noting ... "They worked so hard. They were so overwhelmed."
Murrell ended up sending a $1K bonus check to 1,500 stores. Five Guys ran the promo again -- this time with more prep -- from March 9 to March 12.
