New York Jets fans have a sense of hope with the NFL season nearly upon us ... and former Jets offensive lineman Willie Colon took a couple minutes to speak with TMZ Sports about their upcoming campaign -- and why the fans are so optimistic!

We caught up with the ex-guard out in NYC this week to get his thoughts ahead of Gang Green's 2025 season ... and he told us he's fired up for first-year head coach Aaron Glenn.

"I think Aaron Glenn was a great hire," he said. "Homegrown, played for the Jets. I got a lot of respect for him. I know a lot of people who played in his era are pulling for him."

Garrett Wilson just got a whole lot richer -- the New York Jets and their star wide receiver have reached an agreement on a massive four-year, $130 million extension through 2030!!

According to Adam Schefter, the deal includes $90 million guaranteed ... which means he'll earn an average of over $31 million per year.

It's quite the payday for the 24-year-old ... especially considering he's only played in the NFL for three seasons.

Sauce Gardner is peeling back the curtain on his love life ... telling TMZ Sports things are pretty "cool" with Ice Spice -- and as it turns out, LeBron James had a role in their coupling!!

"I told every single one of the teams I talked to it ain't about the money, I'll play for 10 [million]," he said. "I never once said I need a multi-year deal. Thirty, 40 million dollars. It's absolute bulls***."

Aaron Rodgers' time with the New York Jets is officially over -- the team made the announcement it was moving on from the four-time MVP on Thursday ... saying it was time to move in a different direction at quarterback.

Newly-hired head coach Aaron Glenn and general manager Darren Mougey released a joint statement on the decision minutes ago ... saying they met with AR8 last week and let him know of their plans.

Aaron Rodgers is likely moving to a new city this offseason, but one Steeler is hoping it's NOT Pittsburgh ... with safety DeShon Elliott taking to social media to say he'd rather see the superstar quarterback retire than be his new teammate.

Elliott -- a sixth-year safety for the Black and Gold -- was spotted in the comment section of an aggregator account on Instagram ... which stated Steel City was a potential landing spot for the four-time MVP.

Elliott wasn't thrilled with the idea of bringing Rodgers on board ... saying, "Leave his ass at the retirement home."

Lions star cornerback Amik Robertson raved over Glenn in a sit-down with us this week ... just days after the former Detroit defensive coordinator accepted the gig in the Big Apple.

Robertson told us Glenn was actually the reason he came to the Motor City from the Raiders this past offseason ... and he gushed over the way the 52-year-old allowed him to blossom this year.

It is no secret Aaron Rodgers and his family aren't on good terms ... but now the Jets signal caller is delving deeper into some of those issues, saying the rift between his folks was so bad, he had to "re-parent" himself.

“At times when you have some dysfunction or some separation in your family life, you have to kind of re-parent yourself and give yourself what you didn’t get or wanted to hear more of when you were a kid, and I think for me, I just wanted to hear, ‘I’m proud of you,’" Rodgers said during the second episode of the series.

The New York Jets quarterback was asked about the most recent home invasion involving an NFL superstar at Wednesday's practice ... and he opened up on the safety measures he's taken at his own digs -- while also making note of Olivia Ponton's involvement in Burrow's fiasco.

Aaron Rodgers is putting to bed any rumors he was shaded by Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans following the Jets 21-17 win on Thursday night ... saying the two dapped each other up -- the cameras just missed it!

Rodgers appeared on the Pat McAfee Show Friday morning ... where good buddy A.J. Hawk asked whether there was any beef between the two men after video began circulating online seemingly showing Ryans ignoring Rodgers after the clock hit 00:00.

Some fans speculated the alleged beef was due to AR's relationship with fired Jets HC, Robert Saleh, who is friends with DeMeco.

Aaron Rodgers says he's never once eaten one of his boogers ... even if it sure looked like he did during the Jets game Sunday night.

The star quarterback was adamant about the matter when Pat McAfee brought it up to him during Tuesday's episode of "The Pat McAfee Show" ... insisting he's never, ever dug for gold and then shoved it down his mouth.

"I've actually never eaten my boogers," he told Pat, matter-of-factly. "That's one thing I'm very proud of."
