A powerful earthquake tore through Peru's Andes region over the weekend ... leaving at least five people dead, more than 20 injured and hundreds forced from their homes, authorities say.

Officials say the 5.5-magnitude quake struck Saturday night near the city of Sicaya in central Peru at a shallow depth of about 6 miles, triggering widespread damage across the region.

Authorities say several buildings partially collapsed, including a church and convent, while homes in some of the hardest-hit farming communities were reduced to rubble. Images from local TV showed residents huddled outside overnight as emergency crews searched damaged neighborhoods.

Tulsi Gabbard's older brother is facing criminal charges after Hawaii police say he allegedly tried to lure several young children to a hotel room by offering them money and gum.

According to the Honolulu Police Department, 55-year-old Batarti Gabbard, brother of President Trump's former Director of National Intelligence, was arrested Friday in connection with a July 12 incident at a Waikīkī hotel pool.

Cops say Gabbard approached multiple children including a 9 year old boy and allegedly offered them gum and cash if they followed him to a nearby hotel room. Police say he also asked the kids for their names and wrote them down in a notebook.

Rising boxer Hannah Rapp is dead after police say an alleged road rage driver deliberately backed his vehicle into her while she was riding her bicycle in Texas.

According to the Brazos County Sheriff's Office, Rapp was killed Saturday after authorities say Charles Medina passed her before stopping his vehicle and intentionally reversing, striking Rapp.

Medina was later arrested and charged with manslaughter.

NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani says Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu is a war criminal who could be arrested if he steps foot in The Big Apple.

Mamdani made the stunning remarks during an interview Friday with The New York Times, saying that Netanyahu also “belongs in The Hague” -- the International Criminal Court where the Israeli leader has a warrant out for his arrest and has been charged with war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Gaza Strip.

The Boston Police Department is looking into a death at a home owned by Representative Ayanna Pressley's husband -- the four-term congresswoman from Massachusetts, TMZ can confirm.

BPD spokesperson Officer James Moccia tells TMZ officers were dispatched to a home in Boston's Mattapan neighborhood around 1:50 PM local time Saturday.

A shocking car chase in Los Angeles ended in a gunfight between LAPD officers and a suspect ... and the whole thing was caught on body cam and dashcam video.

The incident took place on a sunny L.A. afternoon on June 9 in the east Los Angeles neighborhood of Boyle Heights ... kicking off when officers sidled up next to a truck -- and the driver gunned it out of there.

Cops chased the truck onto the freeway and then through several neighborhoods ... before it slammed into a hill -- and a man jumped out and started running down the block.

Two U.S. Forest Service employees have been freed after being held at gunpoint for 15 hours in a Northern California national forest.

The horrifying incident went down Thursday at the Shasta-Trinity National Forest ... with authorities being alerted around 11 AM when a Forest Service law enforcement officer called the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office and reported the two employees -- whose identities have not been released -- were zip-tied and being held inside a trailer at gunpoint, according to Siskiyou County Sheriff Jeremiah LaRue.

Authorities say more than two dozen law enforcement officers responded to the situation, including a SWAT team, snipers, hostage negotiators, bomb experts, and more. Deputies located the trailer using drones around 1 PM in a heavily forested campground area near Gumboot Lake.

Footage captured by the drones showed one of the suspects carrying an assault weapon and walking in and out of the trailer.
