King of Horror Still Makes 'Em Scream

Published | Updated

Horrormeister Stephen King has chilled the bones and unleashed the screams of millions, but probably never the way he did yesterday in Manhattan -- with a diaper.

The author/phenomenon was signing autographs (non-threateningly) outside his New York hotel, when one slightly deranged mother asked King to sign her baby's diaper. King, saying he'd "changed a few," obliged, which sent the little girl, whose poop-pouch was being taken away, into paroxysms of panic.

No word if the inscription read, "All work and no play make baby a dull girl."

Liz Blings at Mr. Chow: That's Just How She Rolls

Published | Updated

A frail but still beautiful Dame Elizabeth Taylor, 75, blinged away as she was wheeled out of Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills on Saturday, after a dinner celebrating the launch of her latest line of House of Taylor jewelry. Wear me!

Liz's jewelry line raked in a reported $30 mil last year. In 1997, she had a two-inch tumor removed from her brain, and endured hip and back operations the following year, after which she fell and fractured her spine.

Brit in Deep S**t -- Runs Red Light with Kids in Car

Published | Updated

Britney Spears blew a red light at a notoriously dangerous intersection last night, with her kids in the back and a court-appointed monitor crouched down in the front. Paging K-Fed's attorney!

The Popwreck approached the light slowly on Coldwater Canyon in Los Angeles. You then see Britney raise her cellphone to her face. It is unclear if she's texting or making a call. She then drives into the intersection as someone outside the car screams, "Red light, red light!" Britney then turns left onto Mulholland Drive, managing to miss oncoming traffic.

The judge has made it clear that he has issues with Britney's driving. L.A. County Commish Scott Gordon temporarily revoked her visitation rights because she was driving without a valid California license.

Yesterday, Kaplan asked the Commish to forbid Brit from driving when the kids are in the car. The judge said he'd ponder that and rule on November 26. The bets are on -- Mark Vincent Kaplan, K-Fed's lawyer, will be back in court long before the 26th after eying the new video.

Dita Brightens the Night -- With Her Face

Published | Updated

Typically, TMZ cameras need plenty of light to shoot on the dark streets of Manhattan's West Village. Last night, that wouldn't have been necessary.

That's because dancer-model-burlesquer Dita Von Teese lit up the evening outside the Waverly Inn with her preternaturally white face, a visage so glowingly bright it looked as if the moon had descended to street level.

There's alabaster, and then there's Dita. Eat your heart out Nicole Kidman!

Jacko Is Back-O!

Published | Updated

He wasn't escorted by the National Guard like Jessica Simpson at JFK, but Wacko Jacko did get to ride on a cool golf cart thingy usually reserved for old people when the pop mess popped up unexpectedly at LAX yesterday.

No one is exactly sure why His Weirdness and his young'uns, Paris, 9, and Prince, 10 (both still in Halloween costume) decided to drop into La La land.

Maybe he's in town to clear up that lil' real estate problem or visit his lovely ex-wife Debbie Rowe.

Val Won't Back Clooney Against Fabio

Published | Updated

You would think that Val Kilmer, as an ex-Batman, would show some solidarity with another Batman, George Clooney, in his fantastic fracas with substitute-butter spokesmodel Fabio.

But it was not so outside of Waverly Inn, where our cameraman asked Val who he thought would win in a Clooney-Fabio fist-off. Watch to see his reaction!

Holy elusiveness, Batman!

Zoe Proves Force of Kravity

Published | Updated

Zoe Kravitz, celebuspawn of Lenny Kravitz and Cosby kid Lisa Bonet, clearly got the right pooling of her parents' genes. Her pal Rumer Willis was, er, there too.

The pair were out playing at the launch of the DKNY fragrance, Delicious Night, and packed what seemed like a small zoo of friends into one SUV.

At about the time of TMZ's 18th anniversary, we'll be writing about Suri, Shiloh and Zahara doing just about the same thing.

Marisa -- Don't You Talk That Way Tomei!

Published | Updated

Oscar winner Marisa Tomei gave us a lesson in The Three Steps to the Perfect Arrival at a Chichi Manhattan Event last night.

Step one: Make sure pretty dress isn't riding up, and get, uh, driver to help if necessary. Step two: Bitch-out event escort for talking "bulls**t" all the time. Step three, of course: Smile cheerfully for the camera after little snark-out.

Marisa made her stinky appearance at the launch party for DKNY's Delicious Night fragrance in the West Village.

Seal and Heidi -- The Complete Package

Published | Updated

Heidi Klum and her singer hubby flew into New York's JFK airport, and this time, Seal didn't club the cameras.

In fact, Seal and Heidi were utterly silent as they made their way from gate to ride, with Heidi looking remarkably makeup-free -- though no lesser for it. And as for Seal, the only, ahem, visible package he was carrying was the oddly priapic guitar on his back.

Mary-Louise Parker Trapped by Snappers

Published | Updated

Mary-Louise Parker and her two children arrived at JFK over the weekend and were greeted by an out-of-control snapstorm that frightened the bejesus out of her, and the kids.

The "Weeds" star was with son Will and daughter Ash when they got into an elevator, while hyper-aggressive paps went over the line, holding the door open to try to get their shot and frightening the boy -- drawing what sounded like a sharp rebuke from him.

It's the latest instance of photogs getting uncomfortably close to stars' kids; just last week, Jennifer Garner and Liv Tyler had to fend off paps who couldn't keep a reasonable distance.

Dogg Fighting At UK Airport

Published | Updated

TMZ has obtained video of Snoop Dogg's 2006 brawl at Heathrow Airport that got him banned from the UK.

The fight between Snoop and airport security began when the rapper and his entourage got the boot from a VIP lounge. Snoop was then seen yelling at a member of his crew for talking to police after they were asked to leave. From there, things just got uglier.

To see the events leading up to the fight and the big brawl between Snoop's peeps and airport cops, watch TMZ TV tonight. Check local listings.

Kathie Lee in the City That Sleeps Really Early

Published | Updated

Kathie Lee Gifford doesn't get out much anymore.

TMZ caught up with the formerly perktacular former morning show mistress in Times Square last night, alongside hubby Frank Gifford. They were just leaving the after party for Cyrano de Bergerac. After some pleasantries, she remarks to cameras, "You guys are working late!"

Which was a kind sentiment, indicating a certain concern for our photog's welfare -- except that it was about 11:00 PM -- which is when a lot of the snappers out there are starting their day -- or night. It's the city the never sleeps!
