"A fire broke out in my Manhattan apartment this morning, apparently starting with a lamp attached to my fish tank. My thanks to the New York Fire Department for their quick action."

Tracy Morgan's Fishy Fire

Sources tell TMZ an apartment belonging to "30 Rock" star Tracy Morgan caught fire early this morning ... and the source of the fire was a bunch of fish.

We're told the fire started after a light bulb in one of Tracy's fish tanks busted, which ignited the blaze. ALL OF THE FISH SURVIVED!

The fire did extensive damage. We're told Tracy was home at the time but, like the fish, he wasn't injured. FDNY responded three minutes after getting the call at 8:34 AM.

Our Apologies to Sam, Australia

Published | Updated

We officially apologize for poking fun at Sam, the koala rescued from the fires in the Australian wilderness. Sam was photographed drinking bottled water and we made a joke....and it was out of line.

Turns out lil' Sam suffered burned paws and was taken to the Mountain Ash Wildlife Shelter -- nothing funny about that. But since she's been at the shelter, Sam has drawn the attention of a male koala named Bob. The two are now said to be inseparable.

We made a joke about Sam drinking bottled water and then going to pilates and eating sushi. Bad joke, bad us.

When their original doggy was diagnosed with cancer, Florida couple Edgar and Nina Otto had their pooch's DNA frozen -- and when the original Lancelot died last year, the couple shelled out a huge wad of cash for a scientifically engineered clone!

The dog was "created" in South Korea for the low, low price of $155,000. That's a lot of Puppy Chow!
