As the 2024 Presidential Election shapes up to be one of the most important in the country's history, law enforcement agencies are planning extra measures to ensure the security of polling places ... TMZ has learned.

In the aftermath of the 2020 election and the January 6, 2021 Capitol riots ... voters and poll workers in some states are now facing threats and intimidation tactics.

TMZ has reached out to law enforcement agencies in New York, California, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Ohio, Georgia, D.C. and Washington state -- and officials tell us they are making plans ahead of the November 5 showdown between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.

Laura Loomer is firing off at Bill Maher, calling him out for trying to destroy her career by portraying her as a "floozy" -- and she thinks it's because she's crushing Democrats with her journalism.

We spoke with the right-leaning activist -- who's suing Maher for defamation for what she calls his false claim she's having an affair with Donald Trump ... something she thinks he's only doing because she's broken major stories involving Democratic heavyweights.

Kamala Harris' motorcade played a pivotal role in a suspected drunk driver getting taken into custody in Wisconsin this week.

U.S. Secret Service spokesperson Joe Biesk confirmed the Vice President's motorcade was involved in an incident Monday night in Milwaukee, where a motorist was "traveling in the opposite direction on the highway" ... driving toward the Presidential hopeful.

The incident was caught on video. Check it out ... you can see the driver getting much too close for comfort to Harris' motorcade while driving on the wrong side of the road.

Eminem kept it all business opening up for Barack Obama at a Kamala Harris event in Michigan ... but Barack Obama was so loose, he started rapping a famous Em song.

Slim Shady just introduced Obama at Tuesday's Harris campaign rally in Detroit, and he kept it pretty brief and played things straight ... but when Barry O came out, he lost himself in the music.

Yelp is no longer allowing reviews for a Mickey D's in Bucks County, PA after Trump's highly-publicized Sunday visit ... and the website tells us it's because folks were flooding the page with fake news.

Bill Maher just got dinged by one of Donald Trump's most ardent supporters ... he's being sued for a whopping $150 million by Laura Loomer for saying on national TV that she slept with the 45th president.

According to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ ... Loomer named Maher and HBO as defendants in her suit filed in Sumter County, Florida, claiming that the "Real Time With Bill Maher" host besmirched her good name on his HBO show.

Loomer -- a conservative investigative journalist and close Trump ally -- says Maher made the  "false, malicious, and defamatory" statements about her during his 'Real Time' broadcast on September 13, 2024.

Eminem is used to being the headlining act, but he'll be the opener at Kamala Harris' campaign rally tonight in Detroit ... where he's set to introduce none other than former President Barack Obama.

CNN is reporting Eminem will be joining the campaign trail at an absolutely crucial time for the Harris campaign ... with Election Day just two weeks away.

The 5 men who were wrongly accused of a violent series of attacks in Central Park back in 1989 are taking issue with something Trump said on Sept. 10 in Philadelphia, during the debate with Harris.

Taylor Swift gave Dave Portnoy a big surprise this weekend -- a letter penned by the pop superstar thanking him for all of his support.

Portnoy -- the self-proclaimed "king of the Swifties" -- received the handwritten letter from Taylor's brother, Austin, who personally delivered it to the Barstool Sports owner before he attended the singer's "Eras" tour concert in Miami on Saturday.
