Ryan Phillippe and his restaurant are catching some legal smoke ... 'cause a woman is suing them after one of their candles allegedly caught her hair on fire.

Jody Sanders is suing Phillippe, events pro Jeffrey Best, and the restaurant The Hideaway for general negligence ... claiming that even though she wasn't in the kitchen, she couldn't stand the heat at lunch one day.

Sanders claims back in April 2024 she attended an event at the Beverly Hills hotspot where Phillippe's an investor. While sitting at the bar, Sanders alleges, her hair was burned by an "unattended wax candle burning on the bar's surface." She's seeking an unspecified amount of damages.

Chris Brown can breathe a sigh of relief because he was just granted bail after his arrest for assault in the United Kingdom, TMZ has confirmed.

The R&B singer did not appear for a hearing in London's Southwark Crown Court Wednesday ... but a judge signed off on releasing him from jail, paving the way for him to begin his world tour in a few weeks.

The judge ordered Chris — who has not yet entered a plea -- to pay 5 million in British pounds as a security fee to the court, which translates to roughly $6.7 million in American dollars. We don't know the details of his bail conditions, but we'll update you once we get word.

Dave Portnoy isn't joking around about an antisemitic sign that appeared in one of his bars last night ... posting a video screaming about how upset he is -- and promising everyone involved is going to be educated.

The Barstool Sports founder took to social media Sunday to address a viral video going around of a waitress at Barstool Sansom Street in Philadelphia holding a sign which reads, in all caps, "F*** THE JEWS."

Dave explains the sign isn't something a staff member came up with ... but one provided when you purchase bottle service -- with a message the buyer crafts.

Hooters might be heading for a financial faceplant after reports of a possible bankruptcy filing, leaving thousands of women jobless -- but one strip club's ready to swoop in and save the day ... TMZ has learned.

Chicago's world-famous Admiral Theatre strip club is stepping up, inviting all Hooters bartenders and waitresses to audition as professional nude entertainers -- giving them a shot to turn their assets into bigger profits.

The perks are spicy -- eligible ex-Hooters employees can snag a $10K sign-on bonus, paid in cash and prizes after six months of performances.

Morgan Wallen has pled guilty to two misdemeanor charges in his chair-throwing case ... and, he will spend seven days in a DUI education center.

Worrick Robinson, Morgan's attorney, tells TMZ ... the singer-songwriter pled guilty to two misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment Thursday.

He's been sentenced to seven days in jail which he will serve in the DUI center -- a program which provides "state of the art alternative sentencing for Tennessee DUI, reckless driving, and reckless endangerment offenders" according to the program website -- after which he will serve two years' probation. He must also pay a $350 fine and court fees.

Tom Schwartz and Tom Sandoval are serving up a sad update to fans ... their cocktail lounge, Schwartz & Sandy's, is shuttering its doors after 2 years of business.

The "Vanderpump Rules" stars announced the disappointing news on their respective Instagram accounts Monday, confirming the business will be closed for good by the end of the year.

Schwartz, who said he was "sad as hell" by the news, confirmed the decision came after "careful consideration" and that it was "not an easy conclusion." However, the Bravo personality chose to keep things positive in his farewell note, sharing he and Sandoval plan to host a myriad of events in their final days at their bar ... hoping to celebrate everyone who has helped make their dream a reality.

Justin Timberlake isn't letting his drunk driving arrest get in the way of his business aspirations ... He's reportedly opening a new saloon in Scotland with Tiger Woods!

According to Billboard ... Justin and Tiger – who's also had a past DUI arrest – are partnering to turn the New Picture House Cinema into a T-Squared Social sports bar in the historic Scottish town of St. Andrews.

The singer/actor and the golf great first opened T-Squared in New York City – and it was so popular the pair decided to expand the operation overseas to Scotland.

If you're thinking Donald Trump and President Biden will get rowdy in tonight's presidential debate ... imagine what it's gonna be like in some local bars where they're throwing watch parties and slinging specialty drinks.

We talked to several bars around Washington, D.C. and Atlanta -- where the debate's being held -- and much like a big sporting event, the debate will be shown on multiple screens ... even taking priority over actual sports.

Some of the bars have specials, like a $10 old-fashioned -- likely a crack at the candidates' advanced ages. Other pubs have signature cocktails and dishes for the night-- and, one D.C. pub's taking it to the next level by setting up a drinking game for patrons.

12:57 PM PT -- The Cleveland Browns just announced Lonnie Phelps is no longer a member of the organization ... waiving the defensive end on Thursday.

10:46 AM PT -- TMZ Sports has obtained police video from Lonnie Phelps' arrest ... and you can see the Cleveland Browns player did appear to be noncooperative and combative throughout his time with cops.

The footage seems to show him disobeying orders constantly. It also shows him getting heated with police after they threw him in the back of a squad car.

For the Browns' part, they just released a statement on the matter ... saying, "We are aware of the incident, gathering more information and have no further comment at this time."

Cleveland Browns defensive lineman Lonnie Phelps was arrested Wednesday night ... after cops say he drunkenly crashed an SUV into a restaurant -- and then refused to cooperate with a police investigation afterward.

According to the Key West Police Department incident report, obtained by TMZ Sports, it all happened at around 8:47 PM outside of the Red Shoe Island Bistro in Key West.

Cops say they were dispatched to the scene in reference to a traffic crash ... and when they arrived, they saw a black Hyundai wedged into the side of the eatery. When officers asked bystanders who was inside the vehicle at the time of the wreck, Phelps and his girlfriend were ID'ed, police said.

The U.S. Open teed off a week ago, but champ Bryson DeChambeau's living it up like he just sank the tourney-winning putt ... partying, trophy in hand, in downtown Nashville -- and it's awesome!

The 30-year-old champ was seen walking the streets of Tennessee's capital with the U.S. Open trophy ... as Bryson and his new hardware got in line to enter a bar on Broadway.

It is unclear if Bryson was meeting up with friends, family, or a mix of both ... but the group linked up outside Jason Aldean's Kitchen and Rooftop Bar -- which opened on the Broadway strip back in 2018.

Riley Strain's disappearance and subsequent death captured the nation's attention -- and now we finally know how he died ... as we've obtained his autopsy report.

According to the docs ... Riley's official cause of death is listed as drowning and ethanol intoxication -- with the manner cited as accidental. There's more info here as well ... including what his BAC was when his body was examined ... officials say a concentration of 0.228.

One other thing that his family might be interested in ... the autopsy report notes there was no evidence of significant trauma to his body. There were traces of THC found in his system as well.

Houston Texans star wideout Tank Dell is opening up about the shooting that almost derailed his sophomore season in the NFL ... saying the incident was simply a matter of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

As we previously reported, Dell was wounded after gunfire broke out at a Florida nightclub back in April ... which was sparked by a verbal altercation between a 16-year-old and another individual at the club.

Dell was hit during the incident ... and suffered minor injuries.

Zachary Quinto allegedly had an epic fit in a Toronto restaurant 'cause he had to wait for a table, and the joint is still waiting for an apology ... enforcing a ban until they get one.

Here's the deal ... the 'Star Trek' actor was name-dropped by an eatery called Manita -- who claimed he was an awful customer to their staff recently ... with ZQ allegedly yelling at workers because he wasn't able to sit down and eat as quickly as he wanted.

They wrote, "Zachary Quinto - an amazing Spock, but a terrible customer." The restaurant went on to claim he made their host cry and the rest of the brunch diner uncomfortable.
