The "King of the Hill" voice actor who was shot and killed, allegedly by his neighbor, had a bitter feud with the man for several years ... and it had nothing to do with homophobia, neighbors say.

Here's the deal ... hours after TMZ broke the news Jonathan Joss had been killed Sunday during an altercation on his San Antonio property ... the actor's husband, Tristan Kern de Gonzales, said on Facebook the shooting was a hate crime -- as homophobic slurs were allegedly hurled by the suspect at the scene.

However, neighbors tell TMZ ... they did NOT hear anything homophobic said in the moment of the intense fight, and they say Joss and suspect Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja have been locked in a bitter feud for years -- neighbors blaming Joss' "antics" for disturbing an otherwise quiet, peaceful block.

The man who allegedly shot and killed "King Of The Hill" voice actor Jonathan Joss confessed to the police right after the deadly attack ... bluntly stating, "I shot him," according to a police report.

The report, obtained by TMZ, gives a detailed account of what led up to Sunday's violent encounter outside Joss' home in Texas.

Police say it all started around 7 PM when a woman drove Joss from Austin to his old home in San Antonio to see if he had mail.

An advocate for euthanasia who was involved in the controversial Sarco suicide pod has died by suicide himself -- just months after he was arrested when an American woman became the first to die by the invention.

Dr. Florian Willet -- who headed up a pro-euthanasia organization called The Last Resort, an affiliate of Exit International that offers free assisted suicide services -- spent a few months locked up after being hit with aiding and abetting suicide charges over the woman’s death last September.

Dr. Philip Nitschke, head of Exit International, says even though the charges didn’t stick and Willet was cleared of intentional homicide in December, he emerged from jail a changed man.

Shohei Ohtani paid tribute to Japanese baseball legend Shigeo Nagashima ... who passed away on Tuesday at the age of 89.

Ohtani mourned Nagashima's death on his Instagram ... sharing three photos of himself and the Yomiuri Giants great posing together. Two of the images were from February, when the Dodgers were in Japan to take on the Chicago Cubs during the Tokyo Series.

The third featured a throwback photo of Nagashima and Ohtani ... and the Dodgers slugger captioned the post, "May your soul rest in peace."

DeAngelo Miles, a high school football standout and team captain, was fatally shot in Chicago this weekend ... just days after graduation.

The Chicago Police Department says it received a call regarding a person shot at the 11900 block of S. Wallace on Sunday around 3 AM ... and when officers arrived, a witness stated they had located a teen in the alley after hearing gunshots.

"The witness relocated to where the victim was and discovered the victim unresponsive on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head," the CPD spokesperson told us.

Chris Pratt and his "Parks and Recreation" family are honoring the legacy of their fellow cast member Jonathan Joss after his shocking death on Sunday.

CP reacted to the news on his Instagram Story Monday, writing ... "Damn. RIP Jonathan. Always such a kind dude ... Sad to see. Prayers up. Hug your loved ones."

Mike tells us that Loretta’s assistant was the one to contact him about her passing ... and he defines Loretta as a "dynamo."

Weston Gosa Jr. -- the son of "16 and Pregnant" star Whitney Purvis -- has died ... according to a message posted by Whitney to Facebook.

The former teen mom shared the sad news Monday ... sharing a photo of the two smiling. Whitney has her arms wrapped around her son in the sweet snapshot.

She captioned the photo, "Rest in Peace, my baby Weston. I love you forever, precious. I'll never understand why life has to be so cruel. You'll always be my baby."

Chase Stegall -- the son of former NFL wide receiver Milton Stegall and a rising collegiate soccer star -- has died.

Chase unexpectedly died inside his dormitory at Chicago's DePaul University Monday morning, according to the school's newspaper, The DePaulia.

DePaul President Rob Manuel reportedly announced the tragedy in a university-wide email, describing him as someone "known for his warmth, strength of character, and vibrant presence."

Tristan Kern de Gonzales posted on Joss' Facebook page midday Monday, and described how his husband was tragically shot in front of him at the site of their burned home in San Antonio Sunday night ... and his story seems to match up with what we earlier heard from neighbors on the block.

Gonzales said he and Joss had gone to the location of the once-standing abode to retrieve some mail ... we heard earlier the mail included a check related to the house fire.

8:41 AM PT -- San Antonio PD tells TMZ ... Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja was arrested and charged with murder. Bond has been set at $200K.

Actor Jonathan Joss -- best known for his work in the animated series "King of the Hill" -- has died after being shot by a neighbor in Texas, TMZ has learned.

According to the San Antonio Police Dept. and eyewitnesses ... Joss got into a heated argument with his neighbor at a house on the city's south side Sunday night -- leading to a bloody confrontation.

Police say the unidentified neighbor whipped out a gun and pumped several bullets into the actor before fleeing in a vehicle. Officers responded to a call of a shooting in progress and received a description of the car.

A popular "King of the Hill" voice actor was shot dead Sunday night, allegedly by a neighbor after a fiery dispute, and it seems tensions between the two men had been building for years ... TMZ has learned.

Jonathan Joss -- the actor best known for voicing John Redcorn on the popular animated FOX sitcom -- was shot and killed on his Texas property, allegedly by Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja, who is now in police custody.

Neighbors on the San Antonio block where the shooting occurred tell TMZ ... Joss' home burned down in February, but he returned Sunday to collect a victim's fire fund check. While there, he found the skeleton of one of his dogs killed in the fire, and it sent him into a rage -- he started yelling at anyone he saw in the area.

Kylie Jenner's hairstylist, Jesus Guerrero, died from severe pneumonia ... TMZ has learned.

According to the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner, Jesus had a weakened immune system and, as a result, contracted pneumonia, as well as Cryptococcus neoformans, a fungal organism. The manner of death is natural.

As we reported, Guerrero arrived at a local hospital on the afternoon of February 21 after complaining of not feeling well. His death was pronounced the following day by a hospital doctor.
