'Deadliest Catch' Todd Meadows' Bunkmate Says His Death Was Filmed

A new interview is revealing more details about the accident that killed "Deadliest Catch" deckhand Todd Meadows last week ... as the incident was "unfortunately" caught on camera, according to Meadows' bunkmate Trey John Green III.

Green told Us Weekly, “Discovery is done filming, but there was a producer and a deck cam guy on the boat for the past two months filming for Season 22 of the show. It was filmed, unfortunately.”

He continued ... “There is a deck cam as well that records 24-7, everything, and it caught everything from the incident as well.”

The Broward County Medical Examiner confirmed to TMZ ... Madeline died January 15 in Broward County, Florida.

The cause and manner of her death are pending.

Todd Meadows -- a rookie "Deadliest Catch" deckhand who died at sea last week -- was a determined dad to 3 boys ... and a new GoFundMe campaign will go a long way in supporting them in his absence.

As we reported ... Meadows died at just 25 years old, going overboard while crabbing on the Aleutian Lady in the Bering Sea last Wednesday.

The GoFundMe is being organized by Todd's cousin, Paige Knudson, who tells TMZ ... the family is crowdfunding to help his kids with everything they need during a "horrific" time in their lives.

Robert Carradine Body Officially Released to Family

One week after Robert Carradine took his own life, his family will be able to get a little more closure, TMZ has learned.

According to a report from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office, obtained by TMZ, Robert's body has been released back to the family after determining his cause of death to be suicide by hanging.

As we reported, the actor died in a hospital in L.A. on February 23 at age 71.

Katherine Short Cause of Death Revealed

Katherine Short died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head ... according to her L.A. County Dept. of Public Health death certificate.

We broke the story ... LAPD officers and LAFD firefighters responded to Katherine's Hollywood Hills home last week where they found her dead. Sources told us at the time Short took her own life.

According to her death certificate, she's been cremated.

Katherine -- the eldest child of Martin Short and Nancy Dolman -- was found behind a locked door in the home ... and a note was found on the scene. The contents of the note are still unknown to the public.

'Deadliest Catch' Todd Meadows' Death Under Investigation ... Deckhand Fell Overboard

Todd Meadows -- a rookie deckhand on a fishing vessel featured on "Deadliest Catch" -- died at sea last week ... and now the U.S. Coast Guard is investigating his death, TMZ has learned.

A Coast Guard rep tells us ... "On February 25, 2026, at 5:05 PM local Alaska time, Coast Guard watchstanders at the Arctic District command center in Juneau received notification from the fishing vessel Aleutian Lady, reporting that a crew member by the name of Todd Meadows fell overboard approximately 170 miles north of Dutch Harbor. He was recovered unresponsive by the crew approximately ten minutes later. First aid and attempts to resuscitate were unsuccessful, and the crew transported the deceased to Dutch Harbor."

They added ... "The Coast Guard is currently investigating this situation. As the nation’s leading marine safety organization, the Coast Guard investigates marine casualties and accidents to uncover their causes and initiate necessary corrective actions."

Former NASCAR driver Chase Pistone -- a second-generation racer who carried one of stock car racing’s historic family names -- has died at 42.

Pistone came up through the short-track ranks before climbing into national competition ... racing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series and the ARCA Menards Series. While he may not have been a household name at the Cup level, he carved out a respected career as a gritty competitor and later as a team owner and mentor.

In recent years, Pistone focused heavily on developing young talent through his Chase Pistone Inc. Legends program ... fielding competitive Legends and Late Model cars that routinely contended for wins. Within grassroots racing circles, he was known as much for teaching and coaching as he was for driving.

His brother, Nick, shared the heartbreaking news on Facebook … writing, “Well, my young brother and best friend is gone. I’m broken-hearted and don’t know if I’ll ever get over this. I miss you Chase already and I hope you are in a better place.”

Eric Dane’s cause of death has been released ... he died from respiratory failure.

According to People, the late actor's death certificate also named amyotrophic lateral sclerosis -- commonly known as ALS -- as an underlying cause.

The "Grey’s Anatomy" star announced in April 2025 he’d been diagnosed with the degenerative disease.

He described his brutal journey to get answers -- bouncing between specialists and enduring countless tests before a neurologist finally confirmed the devastating diagnosis.

Todd Meadows died Wednesday aboard the Aleutian Lady on the Bering Sea ... according to a Facebook post from "Deadliest Catch" star Captain Rick Shelford.

Our sources say the deckhand died in a fishing-related incident during filming, though it's unclear if the cameras caught the incident on tape.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is looking into his cause of death.

Eugene Thomas King Jr. -- the convicted bank robber who held a gun to Paula Deen's temple in 1987 -- has been found dead in New York City ... TMZ has learned.

Family sources tell TMZ ... King was found dead Thursday inside his Brooklyn apartment. It's currently unclear what caused his death.
