A crook hijacked a city bus in Atlanta, holding the driver at gunpoint and taking passengers hostage before leading cops on a high-speed pursuit across the city ... ending in a death.

Aerial footage shows law enforcement pursuing the bus through Atlanta Tuesday ... the bus speeds through city streets, weaves through traffic and smashes through civilian cars and cop cars during a chase that played out over miles and miles of road.

When police finally stopped the bus, passengers ran for safety ... and the suspect was hauled off in handcuffs. SWAT officers cleared the bus and found a passenger suffering from a gunshot wound. They were rushed to a hospital in critical condition and ended up dying.

Warning to all baseball fans: Please refrain from jumping onto the field and doing backflips in front of police officers or you will be tased and handcuffed on the ground.

No Joke! That's exactly what happened Tuesday night when the Cincinnati Reds went head-to-head with the Cleveland Guardians.

The context is that she was pushing back on the notion that women are gold diggers -- and she was offering examples of why that isn't the case ... which included the racial slur. No surprise ... the clip drew intense backlash, prompting Lilly to post a follow-up clip.

A pool party in Compton ended in bullets flying and people running for their lives -- and TMZ has new video showing the chaos on the ground ... which ended with at least one death.

Check out this footage we obtained from a get-together on Friday in the L.A. neighborhood -- where a ton of folks were enjoying themselves and splashing around in the water, just in time for summer. Unfortunately, gunshots started to ring out when somebody opened fire.

Unclear what led up to the shooting, but the aftermath was tragic -- with at least one person left dead, and several others injured -- and now ... we can see how scared people were.

Here's the deal -- we're told Jaws did, in fact, ink an endorsement with a plant-based food company to promote its glizzy product ... which is a major no-no with Nathan's Famous and Major League Eating, as competitors are prohibited from partnering with rivals.

As it stands ... Chestnut cannot compete at the contest in Coney Island on Independence Day if he goes through with that sponsorship.

5:00 PM PT -- Joey Chestnut tweeted an hour ago reacting to the news, saying "I was gutted to learn from the media that after 19 years Im banned from the Nathan's July 4th Hot Dog Eating Contest"

"I love competing in that event, I love celebrating America with my fans all over this great country on the 4th and I have been training to defend my title."

"To set the record straight, I do not have a contract with MLE or Nathans and they are looking to change the rules from past years as it relates to other partners I can work with. This is apparently the basis on which I’m being banned, and it doesn’t impact the July 4th event."

"Sadly, this is the decision Nathan's and Major League Eating are making, and it will deprive the great fans of the holiday’s usual joy and entertainment. To my fans, I love you and appreciate you.  Rest assured that you’ll see me eat again soon!! STAY HUNGRY!"

This is a doggone shame.

Joey Chestnut -- the world's greatest eater -- will not defend his mustard belt at the Nathan's Hot Dog contest this year ... and it's all the result of a sponsorship deal he inked with a rival company.

According to the NY Post, Chestnut recently joined forces with Impossible Foods to promote its new plant-based alternative to tube steaks ... which created major issues with organizers and the governing body -- Major League Eating.

Kane Brown meted out some serious punishment to a spectator who flipped him off during his Georgia concert ... He apparently had the dude kicked out of the stadium!

The country singer was performing at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta on Saturday when a guy in the crowd flipped off Kane, who rightfully got offended.

The Michigan man who shouldn't have been driving has yet another update to provide -- as he just took a major step in getting his license ... and it was documented on camera.

As you know, Corey Harris left a judge thoroughly stunned when he appeared in his virtual court hearing from behind the wheel of a car ... despite the fact he was facing a charge for driving with a suspended license.

The drama resulted in Harris being ordered to surrender himself last month -- which got even crazier when the judge realized he never had a license, in the first place. Things are on the up and up now, 'cause he got somewhat of a greenlight to get behind the wheel.

Two people ended up in the hospital after a small floatplane collided with a pleasure boat in Vancouver -- and the video footage is jaw-dropping ... 'cause it uses the vessel like a ramp.

Check out the chaos unfold from Saturday -- the Harbour Air floatplane was prepping for takeoff when it collided with the boat, not able to lift up off the water in time ... and the impact was so intense, it sent the boat spinning towards the plane before it started sinking.

New footage from a bank robbery earlier this year shows just how delicate the situation was ... with one police sniper taking a seemingly impossible shot to rescue hostages.

Officers for the Lee County Sheriff's Department surrounded a Fort Myers Bank of America after a 36-year-old man attempted to rob the establishment in February. The culprit took 2 hostages inside the bank ... using them as shields while communicating with a negotiator.

The Sheriff's Department released video of the standoff -- with a sniper steadying his aim onto the suspect while right outside ... balancing his gun on another deputy's shoulder.

A bull went on a wild rampage at an Oregon rodeo over the weekend, charging out of the arena and crashing into two people while hurling them into the air -- and injuring a total of four victims in the end.

Various witnesses captured Saturday night's eye-popping incident with their cell phone cameras at the sold-out 84th Sisters Rodeo in Deschutes County about 20 miles from the city of Bend.

Another day, another mid-air fiasco -- this time, an Austrian Airlines plane lost its cockpit nose after a hailstorm pounded the aircraft up in the sky.

Check out the pic ... the commercial jet's nose was smashed during its trip from Mallorca, Spain to Vienna, Austria after flying through a "thunderstorm cell" ... wrecking not only the nose, but also the cockpit windows, and some coverings.

In fact, a mayday call was made because of the damage -- especially because the severe weather the crew faced never showed up on the cockpit's radar.

The alleged villain covered in Netflix's 'Dancing for the Devil' was the subject of two previous criminal investigations, but neither resulted in any charges ... TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us two sexual battery cases were filed against Robert Shinn and reported to LAPD in August 2023 -- which tracks with what was covered in the doc ... with some of his accusers coming forward and noting they'd gone to cops.

We're told one of the cases was filed by former 7M member Kylie Douglas, whose story was featured in the doc. Our sources say the LAPD conducted an investigation, and the case eventually landed at the L.A. City Attorney’s Office.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Bad Boys: Ride or Die" is projected to make $56 million domestically when all's said and done -- higher than the previous estimate of $53 million.

BTW ... international box office totals have eclipsed $48.6 million -- cracking the $100 million total globally.
