2016 Presidential Election Some Officials Worry Voting is 'Flawed Process' Open to Fraud

10/25/2016 1:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

1024-donald-trump-hillary-clinton-tmz-getty-01NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN and most blogs are trying to convince you there is virtually NO EVIDENCE of voter fraud, so Trump's fears are bogus ... but we drilled down and some officials who run the voting systems around the country are VERY worried about fraudulent voting.

Fact is ... some states do not require voters to present any ID before casting a ballot. They shockingly rely on the ability of precinct poll workers to match a person's signature with the signature on the voter registration form. So a 70-year-old lady trying to manage a precinct is supposed to do what trained handwriting experts do in court ... ferret out the frauds.

Here are a few examples of what some say are deep concerns about possible voting fraud:

-- Nick LaLota, Suffolk County NY Board of Elections Commissioner, tells TMZ he's expecting 500,000 people to show up at voting booths on Nov. 8th, and he concedes signature verification compromises the integrity of the voting process. He says it will be hard to know who votes when they shouldn't.

-- Marcy Crawford, Deputy Commissioner of the Board of Elections for Allegany County, tells us voter fraud in her county is a real concern. She says everyone's talking about it in her office.

-- John Arntz, Director of Elections in San Francisco, says the way their system works ... voters show up at the polling place, announce their name to the polling place worker, who then checks the voting rolls and reads a corresponding address. If the voter says, "That's my address," he or she gets a ballot. Arntz concedes that it leaves the system open to fraud.

Counties and states are increasingly using signature verification in place of IDs.

Short story ... voter fraud is a real concern.

Britney Spears Rumble Over Bumble

10/25/2016 12:50 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

1024-britney-spears-instagramBritney Spears is entangled in a raging dispute over the Bumble dating service ... TMZ has learned.

Britney's lawyer fired off a threatening letter to Adam Kluger, claiming he went behind Britney's back and negotiated with Bumble to fund her new music video.

According to the letter, obtained by TMZ, Kluger allegedly told Bumble he had authority to rep Britney for an $800,000 deal that would put the Bumble name all over her new vid. The lawyer says Bumble agreed and gave Kluger $200k up-front. Kluger then made a deal with Britney's label, RCA, to pay them $450,000 for the Bumble product placement promotion.

Britney's people say what Kluger did is fraudulent, because he never repped Britney. They also say his $350k fee -- more than 43% of the deal -- is ridiculous and way above what agents charge.

Kluger tells us he never told Bumble he repped Britney. He says his company is a creative agency that puts people and companies together, which is exactly what he did here. He also said his company has worked with Britney before on projects involving Orange Theory and Plenty of Fish.

Kluger also says he's on the Forbes List of the 30 Most Influential People in Music Under the Age of 30. Kluger's lawyer tells us, "We are going to defend the sterling reputation of The Kluger Agency in court as necessary. The allegations are false. The Kluger Agency has done nothing wrong."

As for the music video, we've learned it's being made ... but without any Bumble product placement. And get this ... Britney made a deal with the dating service, which will underwrite the music video, and in return she's gonna do something with Bumble ... hmmm.

Gilbert Arenas Wanna See My $111 Mil NBA Contract?? ... Here It Is

10/25/2016 12:40 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

1021-launch-contract-gilbert-arenas-tmz-03Ever wonder what an $111 million NBA contract looks like?

Well, here you go ... courtesy of Gilbert Arenas.

The ex-NBA star filed the complete 2008 contract he signed with the Washington Wizards in his family law case ... a contract which was supposed to pay $111 mil over 6 years.

As Arenas put it, "Amnesty kicked in" -- and the payouts were stretched over 8 years instead. His final installment will hit his bank account on Oct. 31st.

Of course, Arenas -- who made more than $160 MIL during his career -- now says with no more NBA money coming in, he can't afford to keep his kids in private school.

The contract spells out exactly how much Gilbert got paid every year -- right down to the monthly checks.

Judge Judy Scoffs at Succession Plan for TV Show

10/25/2016 7:00 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Judge Judy was less than amused when our photog asked who's gonna don the doily after she hangs it up.

The most famous judge in America was leaving Craig's in WeHo Monday night, when our photog asked about a succession plan ... clearly not understanding the name of the show is "JUDGE JUDY."

As for her jam on the U.S. Supreme Court ... a harder question.

DMX Praises Life-Saving Cops

10/25/2016 12:20 AM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

DMX sang a song of gratitude to the Yonkers, NY cops who saved his life earlier this year ... and performed for free at the charity boxing event as a token of appreciation.

X was at the Yonkers PD vs. Fire Dept. "Toughman Competition" Friday night ... giving a rousing speech about the officers who found him last February lifeless in a parking lot.

DMX boosted the energy up to electric levels at the event, helping them raise $80k. The hometown rapper performed "Ruff Ryders' Anthem" to a crowd of 2,000 ... and they loved it.

Ex-NFL RB Montee Ball Pleads Guilty In Wisconsin Bar Incident

10/24/2016 4:52 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

0411-montee-ball-mug-shot-03Ex-NFL running back Montee Ball has plead guilty to charges stemming from an April incident in which he got boozed up at a Wisconsin bar and then resisted arrest when cops tried to take him into custody.

Remember, Ball was out on bail back in April from his domestic violence case (he attacked an ex-GF in 2014) and one of the terms was to NOT booze or be in a place where they serve booze.

When cops found him at the 841 Brewhouse bar on April 9th -- they tried to take him into custody and he resisted

Now, we've learned Ball struck a deal with prosecutors in which he plead guilty to 2 counts of "bail jumping" and one count of resisting arrest ... all misdemeanors.

So, what does it mean for Ball? He could face up to 9 months in jail for each count -- sentencing is scheduled for December.

By the way, 25-year-old Ball -- the Broncos 2nd round pick in 2013 -- is still in custody in Wisconsin after being convicted in TWO domestic violence cases

Tobey Maguire Pensive and Scruffy Post-Split with Wife

10/24/2016 3:08 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

1024_tobey_maguire_after_split_launch_4Tobey Maguire could use a shave, because he looks like he has more important things on his mind.

The actor ventured out in L.A. Monday ... the first time he's been seen since announcing he and his wife were splitting up after 9 years of marriage. Spidey's still wearing red these days -- but gym shorts aren't quite as cool.

Maguire's ex, Jennifer Meyer, was seen out in public last week ... and she seemed pretty chill.

Singer Bobby Brown Warns NBA's Bobby Brown LEAVE GREAT WALL ALONE

10/24/2016 3:04 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Bobby Brown the R&B legend has a message for Bobby Brown the NBA player ...  LEAVE THE DAMN GREAT WALL OF CHINA ALONE ... saying the Rockets player really disrespected the wall, and the country.

We got R&B Brown out in BH and asked him about his namesake's shenanigans in Asia, where he was eviscerated for defaming the 2,000-year-old wall by writing his name on it in chalk.

The backlash has been SEVERE ... with Chinese officials scolding Brown for his disrespect ... and if he thought he'd get any sympathy from the other Bobby, he's dead wrong.

"That's really disrespectful, stay off that wall, leave that wall alone."

Bobby also told us he's walked the wall himself and loves China ... wanting to make it clear it wasn't him who did the dirt ... it was the other guy.

"Two different Bobby Browns, he shouldn't do it again, I know that."

BTW ... NBA Bobby has since apologized for the misstep ... who knows if that will restore the good, unsullied, almost pure name of R&B Bobby Brown.

Newt Gingrich Hillary Shouldn't Spike the Football ... Just Ask Wisconsin!

10/24/2016 1:36 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

And now time for some DEEP COLLEGE FOOTBALL KNOWLEDGE ... with Newt Gingrich

Here's the deal ... with Trump reportedly down in the polls, our photog asked Newt if it's too early for Team Hillary to be "spiking the football" ... aka going into victory mode too early.

That's when Newt hit us with the deep NCAA response -- "The University of Wisconsin tried that once and lost in overtime."

Okay, fact is ... we were a little perplexed at first -- but after some inner-office detective work, we THINK he's talking about a 2013 game between UW and ASU.

Remember, the UW quarterback THOUGHT he spiked the ball with time running out to set up an easy game-winning field goal.

But the QB, Joel Stave, botched the play ... and ASU won (Go Devils!).

Look, Newt's trying to say it ain't over 'til it's over -- but this was way more fun.

Sorry for the reminder, Stave.

Tiny Mariah Carey Had Me Take That Pic With Mayweather

10/24/2016 12:25 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

T.I.'s wife, Tiny, wasn't disrespecting her hubby by posing for a photo with Floyd Mayweather ... she was doing it out of respect for Mariah Carey.

We talked to Tiny about the awkward photo op with Floyd taken over the weekend at Mimi's Halloween party, and she explained how she was almost railroaded into standing next to a guy who does NOT get along with T.I.

Tip and Floyd have had beef since their 2014 brawl outside a Fatburger on the Vegas strip.

Lakers power forward Larry Nance Jr. is calling a foul on Major League Baseball ... saying they cheated the fans by not letting Charlie Sheen throw out the first pitch of the World Series.

We got Nance -- an Akron native -- out in L.A. at the Dew NBA 3X and asked what he thought about the MLB striking out efforts to get Sheen to throw out the first pitch in Cleveland ... as Ricky "Wild Thing" Vaughn.

Check out the clip -- Nance thinks it was a huge mistake ... saying the fans want it, the city wants it ... even going so far as saying IT'S MEANT TO BE!!!

BTW -- We also asked him who's the bigger Indians fan between him and that other guy from Akron ... and Larry throws just a tiny bit of shade at the King.
