Renowned forensic pathologist Dr. Cyril Wecht -- known for his work on high-profile cases such as JonBenet Ramsey and JFK's assassination -- has died.

The Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts announced the former Allegheny County medical examiner's death Monday ... saying in a statement he brought "comfort and justice for countless grieving and victimized families around the globe" through his work.

Wecht performed roughly 21,000 autopsies and around 42,000 postmortem examinations during his long-standing career.

Famously, he was a vocal critic of the Warren Commission report ... which concluded Lee Harvey Oswald alone was responsible for President John F. Kennedy's assassination.

Clearly, Wecht was the go-to man in forensic pathology 'cause he also consulted on cases such as the Manson family murders -- as well as the cases of Anna Nicole Smith, Kurt Cobain, Elvis Presley, O.J Simpson, and more.

Wecht began his acclaimed career after obtaining a law degree from the University of Maryland and a medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh -- the latter where he held a faculty position.

He also founded the Pittsburgh Institute of Legal Medicine and the Cyril H. Wecht Institute of Forensic Science ... AND taught at Duquesne for 60 years.

Wecht is survived by his wife Sigrid, 4 children, and 11 grandkids.

It seems there's still some love between Noah Cyrus and her mother, Tish -- as the singer paid tribute to Mama Bear on Mother's Day ... this amid a reported love triangle.

Miley Cyrus' little sister made a subtle tribute to her estranged mom Sunday ... posting on her Instagram story a throwback photo of herself as a baby being held in Tish's arms. Noah left the upload without a caption ... choosing not to offer up a "Happy Mother's Day" wish.

Still, the upload was telling -- and on its face, it would seem to indicate she's still got a soft spot for Tish somewhere. Of course, the backdrop here ... the fact mother and daughter have been at odds over Tish's hubby, Dominic Purcell.

Chris Pine says he got rattled early on in his career after losing out on the lead role for "The O.C." -- and it's all because he got passed up ... as a result of bad acne back then.

The actor went on the "Happy Sad Confused" podcast and was asked about this sensitive subject -- which actually got brought up by the show's original casting director Patrick Rush in his oral history book about "The O.C." ... and Chris says he remembers it quite clearly.

He does say he wishes Pat wouldn't have mentioned it in his retelling of how the series came together ... but now that it's out, he acknowledges it was a painful time in his life.

David Sanborn, the saxophone great who helped bring jazz to the masses, is dead after battling cancer.

His family and management announced the sad news Monday morning on his X account, revealing David died on Sunday from prostate cancer, and complications related to the cancer.

Sanborn played the alto saxophone, and throughout his career, he bridged the worlds of jazz, rock, blues and R&B. For instance, he got his break in the Paul Butterfield Blues Band in 1967 and played with the group at Woodstock.

Middlewieight boxer Sherif Lawal has passed away after collapsing in the ring following a knockout punch in his professional debut in the UK.

He was only 29 years old.

Lawal's first pro fight went down Sunday at the Harrow Leisure Centre in London ... where he faced Portuguese fighter Malam Varela (2-4).

Pearl Jam's guitarist fell hard off a stage while the band was performing in the Great White North -- and the worst part is ... the whole thing was caught on video.

Mike McCready was seen rocking out during his band's recent Vancouver show -- where he was in the middle of a guitar solo for "Porch." He was feeling the music as he made his way confidently towards the crowd ... but it seems he lost track of the stage.

Madonna is feeling all sorts of emotions about being a mom and about her own later mother -- and she's saluting her with a touching tribute.

She posted a shot of herself standing onstage -- during the "Celebration" tour -- under a giant photo of her namesake mother, Madonna Louise Ciccone ... reflecting on the last time she saw her right before she died from breast cancer in 1963.

Her mother was only 30 -- Madonna was 5 -- when she passed away.

Bill Gates' ex-wife is breaking away from their longtime self-titled foundation -- of which she's been a central part since its founding ... and it's the nail in the coffin to their relationship.

Melinda Gates made the announcement Monday, writing ... "After careful thought and reflection, I have decided to resign from my role as co-chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. My last day of work at the foundation will be June 7th."

She adds, "This is not a decision I came to lightly. I am immensely proud of the work the foundation that Bill and I built together and of the extraordinary work it is doing to address inequities around the world. I care deeply about the foundation team, our partners around the world, and everyone who is touch by its work."

Chilli and Matthew Lawrence might be ready to take the next step in their relationship -- at least she certainly sounds like it as she revealed what makes their romance work.

The Grammy winner stopped by Fox 5 Atlanta's "Portia" show, where she couldn't help but gush about the actor. As Chilli put it ... she and Matthew have zero drama in their relationship -- confessing they've never had an argument since linking about 2 years ago.

It appears Matthew has even changed Chilli's tune when it comes to marriage -- as she shared she has no fears about marrying the ex-child star.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent their last day in Nigeria Sunday at an event at the Lagos State Government House -- and where she got on the mic at one point and addressed a crowd ... thanking them for welcoming her and Harry with open arms.

She also acknowledged the fact she wasn't with her kids -- Archie and Lilibet -- for the holiday ... but then said Nigeria wasn't a bad consolation, calling it the motherland.
