Harvey Weinstein's recovering nicely after suffering heart failure ... according to his longtime representative.

Juda Engelmayer tells TMZ ... Weinstein is "out of the woods for now" and feeling fine. The antibiotics treated his pneumonia, and his heart is doing much better because the doctors are monitoring it with an EKG.

We're told Weinstein is already able to walk around.

It's a huge improvement from his previous condition ... remember, Weinstein suffered heart failure behind bars at Rikers Island weeks ago because of the pneumonia, and he was rushed to Bellevue Hospital.

"Free Karmelo" chants allegedly gave way to flying fists ... and now three Texas women are facing criminal charges over what cops say was a brutal group attack.

Newly released arrest affidavits detail investigators' version of the alleged assault ... including claims witnesses heard people shouting, "Free Karmelo" -- an apparent reference to convicted killer Karmelo Anthony -- moments before the violence erupted, according to documents obtained by WFAA.

According to the report, a security guard saw a crowd gathering outside a nightclub on June 21 before hearing someone allegedly say, "The next white (expletive) that walks out, I'm going to hit her." Moments later, the victim walked through the area ... and police say she was jumped by a group of women.

Baltimore Ravens star Calais Campbell's brother was charged with murdering his mother ... and now there's new 911 audio where a family member says the brother is "mentally ill" and "diagnosed with schizophrenia."

In the audio clip, a man identified as Mr. Campbell tells the 911 operator to send police to a house in Buckhead -- an upscale Atlanta neighborhood -- to check on his mother, Nateal Campbell.

The caller says his brother suffers from schizophrenia "and some other things" and stays with their mom at her house. He says neighbors saw his brother driving their mom's car, which is very unusual.

The FBI is giving it to us straight from the horse's mouth ... telling TMZ some of the Nancy Guthrie ransom notes might be legit, but others not so much.

FBI Phoenix tells us ... “The FBI and its task force partners have received several ransom notes over the course of this investigation. Some have been deemed to be extortion attempts without legitimacy. Other ransom demands may potentially be legitimate and are still being investigated as such."

The statement goes on, saying ... "This case continues to be investigated as a kidnapping for ransom case. The FBI has and will continue to offer all assistance possible in the investigation -- however local authorities remain the lead."

Blaise Taylor -- a former scout with the Tennessee Titans -- has been convicted of murder for killing his pregnant girlfriend with a lethal dose of cocaine.

The 30-year-old was convicted on four counts ... two for first-degree murder and two for felony murder at the end of a trial that lasted 8 days. The jury deliberated for less than 3 hours before returning its verdict.

Prosecutors accused Taylor of giving Jade Benning a drink laced with cocaine back in February 2023 ... though his defense team argued Benning had a history of drug use.

Jade was 5 months pregnant when she died ... and prosecutors allege the baby was Taylor's.

Harvey Weinstein recently had another major health scare in jail -- suffering heart failure, TMZ has learned.

Sources with direct knowledge tell us ... the disgraced Hollywood film producer was incarcerated on Rikers Island in NYC about 2 weeks ago when he experienced heart failure due to pneumonia.

Weinstein was being held in the Queens jail complex, awaiting sentencing in September for a 2025 sexual assault conviction. He has had a bunch of health scares behind bars over the past few years.

10:00 AM PT -- Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... the Reuters report about the ransom notes being fake is not accurate.

The series of alleged ransom notes sent to media outlets about Nancy Guthrie's kidnapping are bogus, according to a new report.

Reuters published an article Tuesday, saying the Federal Bureau of Investigation determined the notes are fake, but did not say how investigators came to that conclusion.

TMZ and other news outlets received the notes, which were then turned over to the FBI for analysis. The 2 alleged ransom notes were sent early on in the case ... and Reuters references the separate notes from someone claiming to know the kidnappers' identities, which TMZ obtained.

Baltimore Ravens star Calais Campbell's brother has been charged with murdering their mother after she was found dead inside her Atlanta home.

Nateal Campbell, 71, was found unresponsive Tuesday in her upscale Buckhead townhome after a concerned family member asked police to perform a welfare check ... according to WSB-TV.

The Atlanta Police Department said responding officers learned a male "appeared to have barricaded himself inside the home" when they arrived ... and he was ultimately arrested.

Calais' brother, Ciarre Campbell, was booked into the Fulton County Jail on charges of murder, aggravated assault, and gun possession after midnight, per online jail records.

A suspect in Oklahoma City should've let sleeping dogs lie ... because he's almost certainly nursing a sore leg -- and facing an extra charge -- after dragging a K9 unit with his truck in a shocking video.

Dramatic footage shows cops performing a traffic stop that goes from routine to chaotic in seconds ... when a suspect standing out his box truck suddenly makes a break for it.

The K9 unit -- named Dash -- runs after the guy as he runs to truck, opens the door and gets behind the wheel ... latching onto the guy's leg with his jaws as the man starts to drive away.

Colleen Zenk failed multiple sobriety tests and tried fleeing the scene before her latest DUI arrest ... at least according to police in Florida.

"The Young and the Restless" star was booked on two DUI charges on May 15 after cops say she drunkenly crashed into a parked car in front of a Tommy Bahama store in Naples.

Police say a witness at the scene told them Zenk initially tried leaving the scene, but she was stopped a few feet down the road. The witness told cops Colleen was stumbling when she exited her vehicle.

Taylor Parker told investigators her pal Reagan Simmons-Hancock was screaming at her to "take her out of me" while she was performing a makeshift C-section ... while being questioned about Reagan's murder.

TMZ obtained video of the interrogation from a Bowie County court -- taken just days after Reagan's murder in 2020 -- where Taylor describes her version of the grizzly scene, saying she only remembers hitting Reagan in the head with a mason jar before eventually performing the C-section ... at what she claims her victim's dire request.

Taylor says she told Reagan she didn't know how to get to the baby ... with Reagan's only response being, "Get her out of me!" after the two women went at it, shoving each other around, according to Taylor's side of the story.

Maryland teenager Jonah Poole was sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty to first-degree murder for killing his former boss, Edward Koza ... burning him to death inside his car.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department announced Poole's sentence last week ... saying Poole was ordered to spend the rest of his life in prison and forfeit approximately $215,000 he stole from Koza, his former boss at Tropic Bay Water Gardens in Davidsonville, MD.

It remains unclear if Poole's brief employment with Koza was part of his motive for the killing.

Keanu Reeves went to bat for his old director ... but it wasn't enough to keep Carl Rinsch out of prison after the filmmaker was sentenced in his $11 million Netflix fraud case.

Here's the deal ... Keanu personally wrote to the judge asking for leniency for Carl -- who directed Keanu in the 2013 movie "47 Ronin" -- calling Carl an "exceptional artist" while acknowledging Carl has a tendency to self-sabotage. Keanu also praised Carl's unfinished Netflix series at the center of the case as "superb and visionary."

The heartfelt endorsement didn't carry the day, though ... a federal judge sentenced Carl to 30 months behind bars Monday after he was convicted of wire fraud, money laundering and other financial crimes tied to the failed project.

Taylor Parker sobbed and insisted she's "a good person" ... as she's being interrogated for murdering Reagan Simmons-Hancock and stealing her unborn daughter, Braxlynn, from her uterus.

In interrogation video obtained by TMZ -- from just days after Raegan's murder -- Taylor cried to cops, saying she will "never understand it."

Investigators got Taylor to walk them through the night before the murder ... she says Raegan knew wasn't actually pregnant and was helping her figure out how to prevent her boyfriend, Wade Griffin, from catching her in the lie.

The body of suspected murderer Daniel Robbins was found in a ditch in a remote forest in Alabama ... and his alleged victim's corpse was lying right beside him.

Robbins allegedly strangled a woman -- Jessica Folds -- to death ... and authorities found him dead on June 10 ... his body was in the fetal position next to Jessica's body.

Investigators believe Robbins had a heart attack while disposing of Folds' body.

The Texas sisters who smiled in their mug shots after being arrested for murder knew their alleged victim ... and the fatal stabbing was no random attack ... law enforcement tells TMZ.

Del Rio Police Chief Frank Ramirez tells us ... murder suspects Kitty Mia Diaz, her sister, Amaya Cookie, and their friend Kyandra Renee Faz knew the victim Caroline "Caro" Peña -- the mother-of-five they allegedly stabbed to death in broad daylight on a busy street.

Ramirez tells us all four women lived in Del Rio, and he believes the stabbing happened in front of one of the suspects' homes.
