Harvey Weinstein's lawyers are asking the highest court in California to look into whether his Constitutional rights were violated by prosecutors using pre-recorded video testimony as evidence at his trial.

The disgraced producer's legal team filed a petition with the California Supreme Court earlier this week, asking the court to consider whether testimony provided by Pascal Vicedomini via a pre-recorded Zoom call violated Weinstein's right to confront witnesses against him under the 6th Amendment to the Constitution.

Weinstein's side claims face-to-face confrontation allows the jury to base the reliability of the witness on body language and other factors ... which can't really be replicated in a pre-recorded video.

Shamar McCoy says he couldn't escape the spotlight even behind bars ... saying inmates recognized him almost immediately and started asking why he'd been locked up.

The influencer tells TMZ ... he thinks he was he was jailed over something petty and believes the alleged victim in his battery case is using his name for money and clout.

Shamar completely denies doing anything wrong during the alleged November 2024 incident and says he plans to plead not guilty. He insists he had nothing to do with the fight and claims people drag him into situations because of his social media fame.

He claims he didn't know the alleged victim, Quentin McDowell, before that night and insists he'd never been involved in any previous incident with him.

Forget scoring touchdowns ... cops say former NFL receiver Stedman Bailey was caught scoring at a Florida mall arcade.

According to the arrest report from the Pembroke Pines Police Department, Bailey and a woman named Karina Manderson were drinking at Round1 inside Pembroke Lakes Mall before midnight on July 26 ... when cops say the pair started having sex right at the bar.

Police say surveillance footage showed Manderson bent over the bar with Bailey behind her ... and a witness told cops she saw them having intercourse before telling them to knock it off.

"Love After Lockup" stars LaTisha Collier and Keith Collier might be trading places ... but they're going to stick together no matter what.

Keith tells TMZ ... the two are very much a couple -- and he's not going anywhere because LaTisha stood by him when he was behind bars ... and now she might be headed to the slammer.

Important to note -- we caught up with Keith before LaTisha got out of the joint on Thursday while a judge looks over her appeal after she was sentenced to 15 years behind bars for allegedly scamming clients of her financial firm.

A Pennsylvania man accused of raping an underage girl is facing 5,538 criminal charges ... and prosecutors say it may be a record number of charges for one case.

According to court records, 37-year-old Nicholas Allen Spencer was charged with a truckload of mostly felony offenses, including rape, rape threats, statutory sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault without consent, forcible compulsion, threat of forcible compulsion, and on and on. Prosecutors say the alleged victim told police Spencer raped her almost daily for several years until a friend convinced her to report the abuse to authorities.

Almost 4,000 of the charges are FELONIES.

Tami Fees, Clearfield County Deputy District Attorney, tells TMZ ... the eye-popping amount of charges is "probably our largest case ever" in the county and the same likely holds true for the entire state of Pennsylvania.

LaTisha Collier didn't love being locked up ... and she's already back on the streets after filing an appeal in her forgery case, TMZ has learned.

According to Scott County Jail's inmate records, LaTisha was released from prison Wednesday morning ... and she'll be out until a decision's made about her appeal.

As we previously reported, LaTisha was sentenced to 15 years behind bars for allegedly scamming clients of her financial firm.

Eric and Mia Bieniemy allegedly refused to give their son, Elijah, access to firearms just days before he was accused of shooting his mother ... with the 27-year-old reportedly calling the cops to complain about the matter.

According to The Athletic, Elijah told police on July 24 his parents were "withholding" his weapons ... explaining he needed to be able to defend himself due to his status as "a certified UFC fighter."

Worth noting -- there does not appear to be any sign of Bieniemy actually being linked to the popular MMA organization.

A man named Leon Gillespie -- decked out in a black hooded costume and carrying what appeared to be a long scythe -- took his scare act to new heights June 6 ... climbing atop Ysbyty Glan Clwyd hospital in North Wales.

Cops and firefighters rushed to the scene ... and Gillespie remained on the roof for roughly 50 minutes -- even making noises at the people on the ground -- until police eventually brought him down. He was charged with causing a nuisance or disturbance on National Health Service property.

Sidney Starr told police the male she went to her hotel room with told her he was an adult … and cops say a rubber fell out of her pocket during her arrest for child molestation ... TMZ has learned.

We obtained the Hapeville Police Department report from Sidney's arrest for sodomy and child molestation ... and police say an "opened condom" fell out of her clothes during a pat-down, and they found another prophylactic in her pocket.

The report notes Sidney was staying at an Embassy Suites in Georgia ... and an employee of the hotel called police to report another person had sexually assaulted a juvenile.

A third victim from the mass shooting at an Idaho In-N-Out has been identified ... and he's a 66-year-old man from Utah.

Dale Schultz from Salt Lake City died after he was shot while charging his Tesla in the fast-food restaurant's parking lot.

His wife, Reinette, was also injured during the shooting and remains hospitalized. She was one of seven people injured -- but not killed -- during the shooting. A GoFundMe to help pay for Reinette's medical care has been set up.

Shamar McCoy's arrest came with an audience ... because a couple of women recognized the reality star almost immediately as cops moved in.

TMZ obtained body cam footage from Shamar's Monday arrest ... and as an officer tells him there's a warrant out for him, Shamar suddenly gets some extra attention from nearby onlookers.

A couple of women recognize him and call out, "Oh my God, Shamar" ... before repeatedly asking why he's getting pulled over.

Shocking testimony in the Lindsay Clancy triple-murder trial ... a forensic toxicologist says she had several medications in her system when she allegedly killed her children and attempted suicide.

Four psychiatric medications were found in Clancy's blood ... two separate antidepressants, a mood stabilizer, and finally, quetiapine -- a drug used to treat schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and major depressive disorder.

The expert, forensic toxicologist Justin Brower, told the court only one of the four prescriptions was at an elevated level ... that being the quetiapine, but it wasn't at a "toxic concentration" or "suicidal concentration," per The Guardian.

A popular Mexican influencer was killed while livestreaming by a gunman who drove up on a motorcycle.

The shocking incident went down Tuesday in the Mexican city of Culiacan and was captured by Cesar Gastelum on his live stream before he was shot to death.

The video, posted to Instagram, shows Gastelum hanging out with friends on the street as two men on a motorcycle ride up to them.

The heavily armed gunman who popped up at Trump National Golf Course in California has been federally charged -- and he now faces 10 years in The Big House if convicted.

In a federal criminal complaint, prosecutors charged 38-year-old Jeanine John Taele with possession of an unregistered short-barreled rifle, which is a felony that carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in federal prison.

The feds released a photograph of Taele, who looks stone-faced as he stares into the camera. The feds also released a pic of his rifle and a badge that read "Agent" and "Fugitive Recovery Bail Enforcement."
