NFLers wringing their hands over Friday night's game in Brazil need to relax ... 'cause Gilbert Burns -- a UFC superstar who's from Rio De Janeiro -- tells TMZ Sports the athletes are going to be just fine in his native land.
The issue has become quite the talking point ever since the NFL announced the Eagles would take on the Packers in a São Paulo season-opening showdown -- especially after Philadelphia corner Darius Slay blasted league officials this week for planning the contest in a place with a reported high crime rate.
But, when we spoke to Burns about what the guys can expect when they finally touch down in South America -- he said it straight up will NOT be "that crazy."
Tim Hortons Bronco Drives Onto Police Car in Drive-Thru Standoff ... Caught on Video
A driver near Toronto couldn't quite make a dramatic getaway from Canadian staple Tim Hortons Tuesday ... trying to take off after cops stopped him in the drive-thru, only to get stuck on top of a police car's hood ... and it's all caught on video.
The wild incident began at a Westwood Mall in Mississauga around 6:30 PM Tuesday night ... when police reportedly received a call about a driver in an allegedly stolen Ford Bronco pulling up to the coffee shop.
The video picks up with one of the officers pointing a gun at the vehicle and holding on to the passenger side door -- when suddenly the driver puts the pedal to the metal, and starts pushing the police car in front of him.
Zedd Drops Case Against Alleged Harasser

Zedd’s agreed to drop the restraining order he filed in July against a woman he claims was impersonating and harassing him.
According to legal docs obtained by TMZ, the DJ and the woman, Rezwan Senobarian, reached an agreement and asked for the case to be dismissed on Wednesday.
No further information was given ... but it's an interesting turn of events as it's a big shift from Zedd’s earlier claims against Rezwan.
Matthew Perry No Link To 'Ketamine Queen' ... Her Lawyer Claims
Jasveen Sangha, who federal prosecutors allege is a drug dealer known as the "Ketamine Queen," has NO association with Matthew Perry, despite being charged in connection with his death ... at least according to her attorney.
Mark Geragos' firm is representing Sangha and he went on the "Today" show Wednesday morning and tried to distance Sangha from the late "Friends" actor, who died from a ketamine overdose.
When asked how Sangha linked up with Matthew in the first place, Geragos vehemently denied they were ever connected, saying point blank ... "She isn't connected to Matthew Perry at all."
French Rape Trial Husband Accused of Participating in Rape of Wife ... In Addition to Inviting Others to Rape Her
The French man accused of inviting dozens of men to rape his wife while he filmed -- allegedly participated in the act as well ... this according to prosecutors in France.
Dominique Pelicot -- who is on trial for allegedly filming 20,000 clips of his wife being raped by 83 men in multiple occurrences over the course of several years -- is also accused of filming himself raping his drugged wife with three other men, the Daily Mail reports.
Prosecutors say Pelicot directed other men in most of the clips ... though they claim there are multiple videos of Pelicot himself actively participating in the rape of his wife, Gisele.

The Whitewater Police released a statement days after Welsh, 21 years old, was found dead at her off-campus apartment ... tragically struck down by multiple gunshots on August 30.
A 23-year-old male, Chad Richards, was present at the apartment when police arrived following the fatal shooting ... and after a thorough investigation, WPD determined the shooting was a result of an altercation between the two.

Denard Robinson has struck a deal with prosecutors to close out his drinking and driving case, TMZ Sports has learned.
According to court records, the former University of Michigan superstar pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of operating while visibly impaired last week. In exchange, records show officials agreed to drop the misdemeanor operating while intoxicated count he had been first hit with.
A rep for the Ann Arbor City Attorney's Office tells us ... Robinson is now facing a sentence of up to 93 days in jail, up to $300 in fines, and four points to his driver's license. Under the initial OWI charge, Robinson had been facing up to 93 days in jail and a fine of up to $500 -- plus six points on his license.

Star boxer Jermall Charlo has been formally hit with a DWI charge following allegations he drunkenly crashed his Lamborghini in Texas back in May.
According to court documents, obtained by TMZ Sports, in addition to the DWI ... prosecutors also levied a misdemeanor leaving the scene of an accident charge against Charlo. Court records show officials formally filed the misdemeanor counts against the 34-year-old pugilist on Aug. 20.

The federal authorities investigating Diddy to possibly get a criminal indictment against the music mogul are chugging along ... issuing a new grand jury subpoena related to a hotel in Florida.
According to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, federal prosecutors from the Southern District of New York got a subpoena requiring the fancy Miami hotel to cough up documents and other evidence related to Diddy.

Ricky Pearsall, the 49ers 2024 first-round draft pick, was shot earlier today during an attempted burglary in San Francisco, the city's mayor announced.
23-year-old Pearsall is in stable condition at a local hospital ... after reportedly being shot in the arm around 3:30 PM.

Matthew Perry Dr. Chavez Appears in Court Remains Free, With Restrictions

2:35 PM PT -- U.S. Magistrate Judge Jean Rosenbluth ordered Dr. Mark Chavez released on $50,000 bond Friday. Chavez agreed at a separate administrative hearing earlier this week -- not in federal court -- to surrender his California medical license.
One of the doctors charged in connection with Matthew Perry's ketamine death appeared in front of a judge for the first time Friday.
Dr. Mark Chavez, one of two physicians busted in the Perry case, was arraigned Friday afternoon in a federal courthouse in downtown Los Angeles.
He appeared with his lawyer, and Judge Jean Rosenbluth told Chavez he could remain free on bond with restrictions, according to the Associated Press. Chavez agreed to surrender his passport, and not to work as a doctor.

12:37 PM PT -- A rep for the Napa County Sheriff's Office tells TMZ -- Deputies responded to a domestic violence call at a location in the town of Yountville shortly before 10 AM Thursday. An arrest was made at the scene, and injuries were reportedly involved.
The victim in the case has asked for total confidentiality, the sheriff's rep says.
The investigation remains ongoing.
