Juan Soto got an amazing dinner to go along with a $756 million contract on Thursday ... TMZ Sports has learned the Mets bought their new star and his family a steak feast to celebrate his formal signing with the team.

We're told just a few hours after Soto put pen to orange-and-blue paper at Citi Field, Steve Cohen hosted the 26-year-old and his loved ones at the world-renowned Benjamin Prime in NYC.

Soto grubbed on mozzarella and tomato salad ... and for a main course, he had a ribeye (if you were wondering, he's a medium-plus temperature kind of guy).

Not everyone was eating turkey on Thanksgiving ... 'cause rising star rookie receiver Xavier Legette revealed he chomped down on a raccoon for his holiday dinner!

The Carolina Panthers first round 2024 draft pick revealed the non-traditional Turkey Day meal on the St. Brown Podcast when Amon-Ra and Equanimeous St. Brown asked him about something he enjoys eating that others might find questionable.

"I eat raccoon," Legette admitted. "Like a raccoon that you see in the trash."

Luigi Mangione's getting his own cell at a Pennsylvania correctional facility, and he hasn't been interacting with other inmates recently ... and, we now know what he'll be eating too.

A representative for the PA Department of Corrections tells TMZ ... Mangione will be held in a single cell -- no roommate locked up with him -- at SCI Huntingdon just outside Altoona.

We're told he's not in solitary confinement ... but, he won't be interacting with other inmates at this time -- so, no hanging out in the rec yard for now it seems.

Luigi Mangione, the accused killer of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, was arrested at a McDonald's in Pennsylvania Monday ... and in photos released by police, he's seen eating a hashbrown prior to his arrest.

Pennsylvania State Police posted an update to the case Tuesday morning on X, urging anyone with further information about the suspect to submit tips to authorities. Police posted a series of photos showing Mangione at the Altoona McDonald's restaurant and in his holding cell.

One pic shows two images of Luigi wearing a stocking cap, a heavy jacket and a blue surgical mask ... and he's holding what appears to be a partially eaten hashbrown with the mask pulled aside. It's unclear who took the pic.
