The Pop-Tarts Bowl got off to a hot start Saturday ... with three giant Pop-Tart mascots stripping off their silver wrappings in the pregame festivities.

Here's the deal ... the bowl game -- which has become a fan-favorite since the popular snackfood brand took over the naming rights last year -- kicked off earlier Saturday in Orlando, Florida.

If you don't know, the MVP of the game's winning team gets to choose a flavor of giant Pop-Tart to toast -- and the team gets to dig into the bad boy postgame.

A Chipotle customer smashed an employee in the face with a burrito bowl after she didn't get a refund for her Uber Eats order -- and the food fight was partially caught on video!

Check it out ...  the footage begins with the unhappy customer behind the counter at a Chipotle restaurant in Washington, D.C. -- making her own food with the stunned staff surrounding her.

At first, some of the workers try to stop her from helping herself to the grub ... but their efforts fall flat.

Luigi Mangione's getting his own cell at a Pennsylvania correctional facility, and he hasn't been interacting with other inmates recently ... and, we now know what he'll be eating too.

A representative for the PA Department of Corrections tells TMZ ... Mangione will be held in a single cell -- no roommate locked up with him -- at SCI Huntingdon just outside Altoona.

We're told he's not in solitary confinement ... but, he won't be interacting with other inmates at this time -- so, no hanging out in the rec yard for now it seems.
