Ex-UFC Fighter Geane Herrera Dead At 33 ... After Motorcycle Crash

Former UFC fighter Geane Herrera -- who also competed in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) -- tragically passed away following a fatal motorcycle crash in Florida on Saturday.

He was only 33 and a few days shy of his 34th birthday.

The Florida Dept. of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles told us the incident happened around 10:45 PM at Gandy Bridge in Tampa, FL ... when Herrera crashed into the back of another vehicle at a "very high rate of speed."

Diddy's uttering his first words about the videotaped beating of Cassie ... saying he "takes full responsibility for his actions," and claims he's already gone to rehab.

He posted a video Sunday morning, looking directly into camera, he said, "It's so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you gotta do that. I was f***ed up. I mean, I hit rock bottom."

He says he's not making any excuses for his behavior -- the brutal March 2016 assault on his then-girlfriend Cassie while they were staying at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles. The surveillance video -- obtained by CNN -- showed Diddy chase her down a hallway, grab her by the back of the neck and hurl her to the ground .. where he kicked her and dragged her.

Diddy's former employees at Revolt, the media company he co-founded, are reacting to the horrific video of him assaulting Cassie.

The company posted a statement saying, "We are deeply saddened and disturbed by the recent video circulation of our former chairman, Sean "Diddy" Combs,”

35-year-old Fury joined Babcock on the "TMZ Sports" TV show (airs weeknights on FS1) -- along with his 12-year-old son Prince John James -- where he talked about the magnitude of the bout.

"It's definitely up there with the big ones," Fury said, continuing, "The second Wilder fighter when we were both champions, both undefeated, he was 43-0 with 42 KOs. I was 30-0. The Klitschko fight, that was a big one for me. But this is equally as big."

1:13 PM PT -- A rep for InterContinental Hotels & Resorts tells TMZ ... "This hotel is no longer under IHG management, and we do not have any access to prior incident records or footage."

10:56 AM PT -- Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... there is no record cops can track down as it pertains to this 2016 incident at the InterContinental, so it doesn't appear to have been mentioned to cops in a police report, or otherwise reported to the authorities.

In terms of cops opening a case on this now, LAPD tells TMZ ... For cases before January 2020, it's a 3 year statute of limitations -- and after January 2020, it's 5 years. In other words, there's no chance cops will dive into this specific incident for potential criminal charges at this point, at least as far as the LAPD is concerned.

The blunder happened on May 11 at the RAC Arena in Perth ... just after Cherneka Johnson and Nina Hughes went toe-to-toe against each other for 10 rounds with the WBA bantamweight belt on the line.

Dallas Police Dept. officers wrote in the docs the incident took place at around 2 AM on Monday at Lit Kitchen in Dallas ... after the photog said he and Rice had been at the hot spot for "an after hours party."

Cops say in the docs the grapher told authorities he had left the venue in his car, but returned a short time later after Rice sent him a message that indicated the Chiefs star might want to hire him.
