Timothée Chalamet won't be getting any acting done Thursday ... he's busy with his other job -- New York Knicks hype man at the championship parade.

The actor hopped on a float at the landmark event celebrating his favorite team in NYC ... and someone gave him a microphone to get the crowd excited.

Check out this video taken by a Knicks fan ... Timothée's leading folks in a "Let's go, Knicks" chant while rolling down the road in one of the parade buses ... rocking a bright orange hoodie.

The biggest party of the year just went down in Lower Manhattan -- the New York Knicks held a parade down Broadway to celebrate their NBA Finals championship ... and it was wild!!

The fans were lined up for hours ... but that's nothing compared to the 53 years they had to wait to witness a Larry O'Brien trophy return to NYC. Officials said the area reached full capacity ... and that was hours before it was slated to start!!

The route went through the Canyon of Heroes all the way to City Hall, where the champs are expected to receive keys to the city.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is partying like a champion on Thursday ... joining the New York Knicks on their float for their NBA Finals parade -- and showing off his moves that would make Fat Joe proud!!

The mayor was spotted right next to Karl-Anthony Towns during the massive gathering in Lower Manhattan ... and when the cameras cut to the duo, they did their best "Lean Back" dance as the man himself performed the hit song.

It's par for the course for this celebration ... as there are plenty of notable names sprinkled through the festivities. On top of the familiar faces, there are so many fans in attendance that officials said the area was at full capacity hours before the parade was slated to start.

The New York Knicks' NBA Finals celebration is underway ... but one glaring error has folks buzzing more than the champions on the floats down Broadway.

City Hall is draped in banners honoring the members of the 2026 roster ... and bench player Dillon Jones' tribute includes his name with the number 33.

One problem -- Jones never wore those digits for the Knicks, as it was retired in honor of Patrick Ewing back in 2003. His number in New York is actually 1.

TMZ Sports has obtained the booking photo from the Houston Police Department ... showing the 36-year-old Cleveland Cavaliers guard staring down the camera lens.

As we previously reported, Harden was taken into custody around 3:41 AM when a handgun was observed on the seat of his car and not in a holster after being pulled over for a traffic violation.

9:34 AM -- The Los Angeles Police Department has issued a news release on the shooting. They said in a statement ... "The officers met with the person reporting (PR) who directed the officers to the apartment unit. The officers contacted the resident in the apartment unit; while speaking with the resident, a large dog was by its side barking at the officers."

They continue ... "The officers asked her to secure the dog, and the resident closed her door momentarily. She re-opened the door, and the dog exited the apartment. Once outside of the apartment, the dog charged at one of the officers, resulting in an Officer-Involved Shooting (OIS)."

LAPD says the Los Angeles Department of Animal Services responded and took Jameson's body. They added Marie was cooperating with authorities.

According to the release, the Force Investigation Division is investigating the incident.

LAPD shot and killed a 2-year-old dog who wasn't doing anything wrong ... at least according to his owner.

Cops were responding to a call Saturday from a resident who wanted them to check on a screaming woman in a Canoga Park condo building. When officers arrived, they fatally shot the woman's dog, Jameson, claiming he rushed at the officers.

But his owner, Marie Marseille, says that's not what happened. She told FOX 11 ... "Jameson wasn't baring teeth. He wasn't growling. He wasn't aggressive. He wasn't barking. He was just moving towards the officer."

Charles Barkley couldn’t hide his surprise over one familiar face showing up courtside during Game 5 of the NBA Finals ... and he made sure to call it out on live TV.

As "Inside the NBA" was heading to a commercial break on Saturday night, Barkley reacted in real time after cameras cut to actress Sydney Sweeney in the crowd.

"Is that Sydney Sweeney?" Barkley said, sounding genuinely shocked before adding, "Everybody’s a New York Knicks fan now."
