Rev. Al -- Making Peace, Not War

Published | Updated

He might be a rabble-rouser of the first order, but when Rev. Al Sharpton gets his morning joe, he's all peace and love, man.

TMZ spotted the Rev. getting revved up with a little Starbucks on the Upper West Side, and when he flashed a genuine peace sign at the bidding of one photog, he took pains to make sure it was interpreted properly: "Don't say it was a gang sign," he cautioned.

Let's see: Starbucks + Upper West Side + Al Sharpton? Not adding up to gang territory, exactly.

Richard Simmons Gives Boy Pap a Complex

Published | Updated

The patron Santa of chubby folks, Richard Simmons, made a gender blunder that unraveled a 14-year-old boy.

The paparazzi, including one pint-sized, curfew-challenged photog, caught the loquacious exercise guru outside his studio in Los Angeles over the weekend, where Simmons invited the paps inside for a little holiday refreshments.

Simmons seemed especially fond of the wee paparazzo, inquiring how old "she" is. Poor Austin was so horrified, he ran out of the shop. Eventually, someone set him straight. Or at least tried.

Zahara Walks!

Published | Updated

Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt was seen walking on her own power yesterday in New Orleans, in the company of her two brothers, Maddox and Pax ... along with the UN Goodwill Ambassador.
For some time, Miss Zahara has not been seen walking, and the Internet crawled with rumors that she had some type of hip defect. She looks fine here!

The Ambassador helped Maddox hop a bubbly puddle (and it looks like he's wearing one of dad's caps), while Pax showed off his bitchin' new guitar sunglasses and enjoyed a bag of chips!

The whereabouts of the Ambassador's Namibian child ... remains a mystery.

Pap in a Box

Published | Updated

Being a photog in New York is a constant hunt -- and one lensman decided he needed extra camouflage to stalk his precious prey.

Pap in a Box

And who was that wascally wabbit? None other than Wegis -- ahem, Regis -- Philbin, who was just sitting at a restaurant across the street from his house when this shooter went all commando for his shot.

The best part? We found a box of McDonald's inside the makeshift blind. Gotta get them calories somewhere!

Colin Farrell -- I Am Legend

Published | Updated

Colin Farrell arrived in New York, and discovered, in a Will-Smithian kind of way, that there are no other people in the city -- at least the kind that attract the attention of cameramen!

Though he sped unmolested through the arrivals at JFK, Colin was met by a slew of snappers, prompting him to ask, "Must be nobody in f***in' New York, is it?"

Well, there is this one guy, likes to ride bikes, unmarried to some actress ...

Pretty Woman Pretty Peeved at Paps

Published | Updated

You'd think that after she risked life and limb to skewer a pap for filming her children at their school, photogs would be a little more respectful of Julia Roberts.

Not so. After Roberts obliged paps with plenty of shots across the street from her NYC house -- on the condition that they leave her alone, they did quite the opposite, following and shooting her the next day at her bank, and staying on her tail for three full blocks before a bystander stepped in to act as a bodyguard.

Her last word? Julia chastised the snappers for "embarrassing" themselves.

Timbaland's Best Work Yet -- Lil' Timba

Published | Updated

In Timba's land, the branch doesn't fall far from the tree, clearly.

TMZ caught up with super-producer Timbaland and his son Frankie outside of their NYC hotel, after the pair raised the roof at the Z100 Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden. Timba brought lil' Timba on for part of the show, and high-fived him -- to the delight of the crowd.

It looks like Frankie let dad wear one of his coats.

Beckhams on Ice

Published | Updated

The Beckham bunch is in England again -- oh, how they're missed in Los Angeles. *yawn*

Here's the Poshybecks brood as they killed time between Mama V's UK concerts -- by ice skating in London's Hyde Park.

Dad's wearing that hideous knitted cap again, and Posh appears to have resurrected that dreadful Darth Spice cap she wore last winter. Burn it!

Bill Clinton's Secret Service: Screw You!

Published | Updated

An autograph hound outside of Nobu in NYC just happened to have a copy of former President Clinton's book, and repeatedly begged the dapper ex prez to sign it as he left the fish house.

Watch the footage -- Bill finally tells one of his Secret Service dudes to grab the book -- the autograph hound says, "Is he gonna sign it?" The edgy Secret Service dude says, "No."

Listen to the ink seeker's reaction. Priceless. We're told Clinton did sign the book.

Amos Goes Ape****!

Published | Updated

A word of advice: don't disturb Tori Amos while she's working.

Amos Goes Ape****!

Two fans learned that lesson the hard way and ended up with a verbal smack down from the crotchety singer before they were unceremoniously booted from her Wednesday night concert in San Diego. Code Red!

The piano playin' mama was in mid song when she suddenly began lashing out at the girls: "It's a privilege to sit in the front row. I reserve those seats for people who appreciate music. Get the f--- out!"

So much for being silent all these years.

UPDATE: A rep for Tori's record label just contacted TMZ with the following statement: "Tori doesn't sell front row seats to her shows. She'll pick fans that are in the back row and she will upgrade them. It is a privilege to get picked. Apparently these two girls were on their cell phones all night... It was her sticking up for her other fans that missed out on the opportunity."

Chace Crawford Has a Cow

Published | Updated

Chace Crawford was all over midtown Manhattan yesterday donating toys to kids, which was very nice -- but he didn't look all that thrilled about it.

Chace Crawford Has a Cow

Maybe it was because he was being overshadowed, literally, by an eight-foot-tall cow called Miss Maggie Moo, who was constantly by Chace's side.

He definitely wasn't thrilled to see the paparazzi getting him and his ladylumps, Carrie Underwood, leaving Marquee's fourth anniversary party, where, we're told, they were -- let's just say -- not hiding their mutual affection.

Marky Mark's Long Lost Cousin?

Published | Updated

Wow. What an idiot! Some guy in a white tank top flashed his rings, bragged about having $100,000 and did everything he could to get his butt kicked in front of Republic restaurant last night. And that's not even the funny part: he claims to be Marky Mark's cousin. Now that's a funky bunch!

We're not exactly sure who Crazy Dude is -- or if he is in fact an extended member of the Wahlberg clan -- but when he asked an off-duty cab driver to "hit me as hard as you can," someone probably should have stepped up. For the love of Jerry Springer!

We reached out to Wahlberg's rep to confirm Crazy Dude's lineage; we haven't heard back as of yet.

UPDATE: Wahlberg's reps would not comment, but sources tell TMZ that Crazy Dude is NOT Mark's cousin -- shocker! -- just someone he used to run with many years ago.

Most Awkward Question Ever To Gayheart

Published | Updated

Not a great idea to tell someone who caused a fatal accident to drive safely. Well maybe it is a good idea, but not if you're a photog trying to engage a celebrity.

So imagine the moment when a pap told Rebecca Gayheart yesterday to "drive safely." Remember, back in 2001, Gayheart was driving when she struck and killed a nine year old boy. She was prosecuted for vehicular manslaughter and pleaded no contest. She was placed on three years probation and settled a wrongful-death lawsuit out of court.

Watch the video and squirm.
