Shane Gillis had some familiar faces in the crowd for "Saturday Night Live" this weekend ... as San Francisco 49ers stars Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle and Kyle Juszczyk were present for his hosting gig.

Kittle posted the trio's NYC adventure to his Instagram page on Sunday night ... sharing some behind-the-scenes flicks from Studio 8H -- including a selfie with Mike Myers, who played Elon Musk in the episode.

"Saturday Night Live" wasted no time tackling the explosive Oval Office shouting match between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky ... and Mike Myers made a surprise cameo.

The show's cold open spoofed last week's infamous Oval Office meeting between Trump, Zelensky and J.D. Vance when they were discussing a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine when things got heated.

The bit began with Mikey Day, who played Zelensky and James Austin Johnson as Trump. The fake Trump introduces himself as "President and CEO of Gaza Hotel and Casino." He says ... "I’d like to welcome President Zelensky to this incredible trap."

Steve announced Thursday evening his pal caught COVID-19 from the "Saturday Night Live" 50th Anniversary special that aired Sunday ... insinuating he got sick thanks to Maya Rudolph by sharing a photo of the pair kissing backstage at the event.

He joked ... "Maya had Covid. Marty has Covid. I wonder why? The SNL 50th Covid curse is real."

'Saturday Night Live's 50th Anniversary after-party at the Plaza Hotel in NYC was a huge extravaganza, with some of the biggest celebs on the planet showing up -- including Kim Kardashian, Lady Gaga and Dave Chappelle.

TMZ obtained photos and videos of all the fun, laughter and performances by dozens of celebrities who packed into the ballroom and other parts of the legendary hotel in Midtown Manhattan Sunday night.

Many were photographed in their fancy outfits walking into the event. Of course, Kim K made a huge splash in her silver gown and Gaga looked pretty goth-glam in her get-up.

The 20-year-old was targeted toward the beginning of "Weekend Update" ... with Michael Che uttering a wisecrack about bringing his own form of nepotism to the staple sketch.

"Me and Colin [Jost] are actually the longest serving 'Weekend Update' anchors," Che said. "I've done 'Weekend Update' for so long, next season I'm co-hosting with my son, Bronny."

In the opening monologue, Steve Martin introduced comedian John Mulaney, and the two tuxedoed raconteurs reminisced over the many hosts over the years ... with Mulaney observing, "894 people have hosted 'Saturday Night Live,' and it amazes me that only two of them have committed murder."

That brought a mixture of laughter and groans from the audience, and Martin. There have been a few hosts over the years associated with untimely deaths ... but only two of them have actually been charged with murder.

In the first sketch after the monologue on 'SNL50,' Kardashian appeared as one of the Maharelle Sisters -- the singing quartet with three gorgeous sisters and then Dooneese, a character played by Wiig with a huge forehead, tiny hands and a nasally singing voice.

In this particular version, Will Ferrell -- playing Robert Goulet -- is on "The Lawrence Welk Show" trying to find choose between three women Ana Gasteyer, Scarlett Johansson and Kardashian ... but, Dooneese keeps getting in the way.
