Kristin Cavallari has revealed Britney Spears reached out to her, but it wasn’t for casual girl talk -- turns out, the singer had something to say after catching a comment she made.

The reality star spilled on her "Let’s Be Honest with Kristin Cavallari" podcast that her publicist called with the surprising news that Britney wanted her phone number -- and Kristin admits she was pretty nervous about it because she knew exactly why the star was trying to get in contact.

For some backstory, Kristin recently dove into Hollywood conspiracy theories, claiming she thinks both Britney and Kanye West are clones.

Quincy Jones, the legendary music titan who worked with nearly every icon ... from Michael Jackson to Frank Sinatra to Will Smith ... has died, TMZ has confirmed.

Arnold Robinson, Quincy's publicist, told TMZ ... he died Sunday night at his home in Bel-Air, California surrounded by his family.

“Tonight, with full but broken hearts, we must share the news of our father and brother Quincy Jones’ passing,” the family said in a statement. “And although this is an incredible loss for our family, we celebrate the great life that he lived and know there will never be another like him.”

Diddy's lawyers have asked a judge to restrict statements made by potential witnesses and their lawyers outside of court ... citing one grand jury witness in particular who keeps speaking to the press.

The music producer’s team filed the documents Sunday ... asking the judge to expedite the process of responding to Diddy's motion for a gag order because one witness -- a man named Courtney Burgess -- has given multiple interviews in recent days.

TMZ caught up with Burgess and his attorney, Ariel Mitchell, outside the courthouse Thursday ... with Mitchell telling us Courtney was called to testify because he has or has seen salacious videos of Diddy and his celebrity friends.

Police in England say 18-year-old suspect Axel Rudakubana is charged with producing the deadly poison ricin, and having an Al-Qaeda jihad training manual in his possession.

Cops say they found the ricin and the Al-Qaeda manual in searches of Rudakubana's home following the July Southport stabbings. Ricin, derived from castor bean plants, is considered one of the world's deadliest toxins.
