Police have released photos from Nick Reiner's arrest on suspicion of murdering his parents, Rob and Michele Reiner -- and they show the alleged killer getting handcuffed by members of the LAPD and the US Marshals Service.

In a social media post, the official account for the Los Angeles Police Department's Gang and Narcotics Division shared photos of Nick surrounded by cops with his hands cuffed behind him. Officers made the arrest Sunday night at Exposition Boulevard and Vermont Avenue near the train station, which you can clearly see in background.

Nick Reiner, who is under arrest for the murder of Rob and Michele Reiner, checked into a Santa Monica hotel early Sunday morning, and left a trail of blood behind ... sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ.

Nick checked into The Pierside Santa Monica around 4 AM Sunday, using his credit card. His check-in came hours after he got into a heated argument with his father at Conan O'Brien's Christmas party.

Eyewitnesses who saw Nick check in say he seemed "tweaked out", but there were no visible signs he had been in a violent confrontation -- we're told definitely no blood stains or cuts on his body.

2:45 PM PT -- Authorities gave a public update to Saturday's Brown University campus mass shooting case in a Monday afternoon press conference shortly after releasing new images and videos of a person of interest in the case … who remains at large.

Investigators asked for the public's help in identifying the person, seen clad in black, wearing a face mask, walking near the campus on Saturday.

FBI Director Kash Patel posted on X the agency is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.

Police in Rhode Island just released new surveillance footage of a person of interest in Saturday's mass shooting at Brown University.

The video shows a person, dressed in all black, walking down Waterman Street near the corner of Hope Street ... a couple blocks away from the Ivy League campus.

Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha says investigators believe the person in the video is the same as the person seen in different surveillance footage ... according to CNN. The person is still unidentified.

Sources at the party, which went down Saturday night at Conan's, tell TMZ ... Nick seemed out of place based on how he was dressed and how he was carrying himself.

We're told Nick showed up to the very formal party in a hoodie, while everyone else was wearing nice suits and dresses.

Our sources say Nick roamed around in his sweatshirt, didn't interact with people, kept to himself, and was very reserved ... all of which made some folks feel his behavior was odd.
