Spencer Pratt is digging in over the backlash surrounding his mayoral campaign ad ... insisting he never lied about living in an Airstream trailer after being called out for actually staying at the ritzy Hotel Bel-Air.

The candidate joined "TMZ Live" Wednesday after we broke the story ... he's been staying at maybe the swankiest hotel in L.A. ... this after calling out the luxury homes where incumbent Mayor Karen Bass and challenger Nithya Raman live. But Spencer says people are missing the point.

“I don't live at the hotel Bel Air. I don't live in the Airstream. I don't live in Santa Barbara. I don't have a house. They burned it down,” he said.

Ray J's hurling some wild accusations Kris Jenner's way, saying he "wouldn't put it past" her to order a hit on him ... but sources tell TMZ this is a flat-out lie.

On Wednesday's episode of "The Jason Lee Show," Ray J said he's "on alert" that the momager "might try to do something" to him as his countersuit against her and Kim Kardashian heads to arbitration.

Watch the clip ... Jason followed up by asking if Ray J thinks Kris would "drop a bag to have a hit done" .... and the singer said he's not ruling it out. But sources tell TMZ that Ray J's spreading false news, and Kris has zero interest in engaging.

Kouri Richins, a Utah mother who wrote a children's book about grief following the death of her husband, was just sentenced to life behind bars without the possibility of parole ... after being convicted of murdering him.

Kouri was convicted of aggravated murder in her husband's March 2022 death ... for lacing his drink with five times the lethal dose of fentanyl.

A Utah jury also found her guilty of attempted aggravated murder for trying to kill her husband on Valentine's Day 2022 with a fentanyl-laced sandwich ... plus insurance fraud and forgery related to his life insurance policy.

The destination airport is currently unclear, as is whether Tiger is a passenger on his jet.

Chris Appleton's officially taking his talents from the glam chair to the lifeguard tower ... 'cause TMZ has learned he's landed a role in the upcoming "Baywatch" reboot.

TMZ obtained photos of the celebrity hairstylist on set Tuesday in Los Angeles and he was hard to miss. Chris was shirtless for multiple takes, showing off his tan and chiseled physique in low-rise jeans and white sneakers while clutching scripts between scenes.

At one point, he was seen huddled with a crew member going over lines, and in another moment, he casually tossed on a jacket between takes while production staff and cameras surrounded him on location.

Billionaire Stephen Cloobeck's surprising arrest is tied directly to the criminal case surrounding his fiancée, Adva Lavie ... TMZ has learned.

TMZ broke the story ... Cloobeck was arrested Tuesday in L.A. on a felony charge connected to discouraging a witness from testifying, and we're told investigators believe that witness was tied to Lavie's ongoing theft case.

Lavie -- a former Penthouse Pet -- is accused of targeting wealthy men through dating apps and social circles ... allegedly stealing luxury goods, cash and personal information. She has pleaded not guilty to multiple felony charges.
