Ellen DeGeneres says she got thrown out of Hollywood for being mean and toxic -- something she's making light of now in a new stand-up show ... which is coming to Netflix.

The comedian did a live show in L.A. this week, which some reporters had attended -- and she ended up addressing her leaving her famed talk show ... which came to an end in 2022 on the heels of claims from former staffers that the workplace was a nightmare.

Ellen says, "What else can I tell you? Oh yeah, I got kicked out of show business. There’s no mean people in show business."

LAX airline workers got an unexpected earful from a woman who went on a vicious tirade ... only for her to realize she was screaming at the wrong terminal the entire time.

Luke Bryan's proving the show must go on ... 'cause he slipped during last night's performance and crashed to the ground hard -- but, took the incident in stride.

The country music singer-songwriter performed at the Coast City Country Festival in Vancouver last night ... and while hyping up his next song Bryan stepped in the wrong spot and went flying into the air.

Check out the clip ... Bryan looks like a cartoon stepping on a banana peel, really getting some height on his slip -- and, revealing he actually stepped on someone's phone.

Comedy star Brad Williams says Blake Griffin could easily go from setting screens to setting up jokes now that he's retired from the NBA ... telling TMZ Sports the former hooper is legitimately good at standup.

Williams said out in L.A. on Tuesday -- just hours after Griffin announced he was hanging up his basketball sneakers -- that he's seen the ex-Clippers forward rock the mic before ... and he's been seriously impressed.

And, Williams told us if Griffin uses his newfound free time to really commit to standup -- he could be a real player in the comedy world.

Rob Schneider is calling BS on the notion he bombed in front of a bunch of Republican lawmakers -- calling the report a hit piece ... and even labeling it as "woke" propaganda.

Politico put out a story this week touching on an event Rob headlined late last year for a bunch of prominent figures in the GOP here in L.A. -- where a ton of senators and other high-level Republicans were in attendance ... who apparently hated his set.

The report says Rob was supposed to do a 30-minute show -- but organizers cut him off 10 minutes in because his jokes were too raunchy and off-color ... with one senator, Cindy Hyde-Smith, reportedly walking out and calling his material "gross and vulgar."

Ryan Gosling continued his tradition of breaking character on 'SNL' ... and this time, the entire cast had trouble keeping it together.

Ryan hosted 'SNL' for the third time Saturday ... and just like his previous visits, he struggled to maintain his composure during most of the sketches -- much to the delight of the audience.

The cold open reunited Gosling with Kate McKinnon for the 3rd installment of their infamous "Close Encounters" skit ... where the "Barbie" actor could not keep from laughing as Kate demonstrated how "aliens" had observed Ryan's character's privates during their alleged abduction.

The 76ers just unveiled their new Allen Iverson statue ... and its stature has fans all across the NBA world scratching their heads -- wondering why the hell it's so small!!

Take a look at The Answer's new bust -- which Philadelphia officials just placed outside the Sixers' practice facility on Friday -- it's about the size of the Heisman Trophy!

In total, including its base, it appears to be less than six feet tall ... as AI -- who stands at 6'0 -- was quite literally at eye-level with it.

People who loved the Hall of Famer's game quickly took to social media to clown it ... with famed internet personality Jomboy writing, "Sixers promised Allen Iverson a statue and gave him a toy soldier."

Added basketball reporter Jeff Goodman, "Where’s the rest of the statue???"

Iverson, though, didn't seem to have much of an issue with it ... when he spoke with reporters about the figurine, he called it a whale of honor.

And, to be fair, most of the statues that currently reside outside of the team’s Camden practice facility aren't all that big … for instance, Charles Barkley's is only a few inches taller than him.

But still, the internet wasn't pleased nonetheless.

It, of course, has been a rough year for NBA statue-makers ... as back in February, the Lakers revealed a sculpture honoring Kobe Bryant that was riddled with spelling errors.

The news of O.J. Simpson's death is sparking a wave of commentary -- much of it coming in the form of humorous memes based on the most controversial aspects of his life ... because the Internet is gonna Internet.

Almost immediately social media users rushed to upload their hot takes/jokes, going in hard on Simpson ... with several focused on the infamous low-speed Bronco chase from 1994.

Conan O'Brien took a trip down memory lane in his return to late-night TV, telling Jimmy Fallon it felt "weird" coming back to the NBC building and joking about how Kelly Clarkson hijacked his studio.

The former host showed up Tuesday as a guest on "The Tonight Show," sitting down with Jimmy for an interview in which the comedian mostly reminisced about his time at the network.

Pete Davidson's making sure his friends on "Bupkis" have good memories of him -- as he makes his exit, Pete's dishin' out thousands to some of the show's staff ... TMZ has learned.

Sources tell us, Pete's handing out cash prizes -- totaling hundreds of thousands -- to some creators who worked on season 1 of "Bupkis" to thank them for all their hard work on the show, pre-cancelation.

We're told Davidson gave the money to just a handful of people ... all of whom were involved with season 1, but who weren't necessarily working on the now-dead second season.
