Memphis Grizzlies Player Brandon Clarke Arrested in Arkansas
Grizzlies’ Brandon Clarke Arrested on Drug, Driving Allegations
Memphis Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke is in hot water -- the NBA player was arrested Wednesday in Arkansas after a run-in with law enforcement.
Clarke was booked just after 1 PM local time by the Cross County Sheriff’s Department … with the Sheriff saying the 29-year-old is facing allegations of speeding, reckless driving and possession of a controlled substance, according to local reports.
Things are still a bit murky as jail records show Clarke is currently being held on a “CID hold” -- and it’s unclear exactly what formal charges he’ll ultimately face.
The incident occurred hours before the Grizzlies were set to host the New York Knicks on Wednesday night.
Clarke, who’s been with the Grizzlies since being drafted in 2019, has had a quiet year on the court … appearing in just two games before a calf strain in late December sidelined him for the remainder of the season.
Now, instead of working his way back into Memphis’ rotation, he’s dealing with a much bigger issue off it.
