Timothy Busfield's accusers say he touched their kids inappropriately on set ... but the actor-director's lawyer says they're bloodthirsty scammers -- out for either money or revenge.

Busfield's civil attorney, Larry Stein, told NewsNation on Monday that the children's parents have been labeled by the Department of Justice as scammers, and he says they coerced their children to lie about the accusations to get back at Busfield.

Remember ... the kids' father is a disbarred lawyer who reportedly did jail time for cheating people out of millions of dollars -- meanwhile, Stein says the mother got caught passing bad checks at Las Vegas casinos.

Former Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsey Buckingham's accused stalker has been hit with 7 criminal charges after allegedly chucking an unknown liquid at him in March ... after Lindsey already had a restraining order against the woman.

According to online records, Michelle Dick was arrested and charged in a felony complaint Friday -- which includes 2 charges of stalking, 2 charges of threatening to commit a crime with intent to terrorize, assault with a deadly weapon that's not a firearm, vandalism, and battery -- stemming from the March incident.

We told you all about the March incident ... Dick is accused of tracking Buckingham down at an appointment in Santa Monica and dousing him with an unknown substance before fleeing the scene.

Lil Nas X got some good news in court on Monday ... a judge accepted his motion to enter a mental health diversion program in his felony police battery case, TMZ confirmed.

That means all he has to do is keep up his treatment and stay out of trouble for the next two years ... and his case will be dismissed.

The singer was seen smiling leaving the courthouse ... telling reporters he's feeling "thankful" after the hearing.

Melissa Gilbert is jumping to the defense of her husband Timothy Busfield ... speaking out publicly for the first time since he was charged with sexual contact of a minor -- addressing prior sexual assault allegations she says she was aware of for a long time.

Gilbert -- who appeared on 'GMA' alongside her attorney Larry Stein -- says the past few months have been "traumatic," adding that she waited to speak until now after seeing what she describes as widespread misinformation.

During the interview ... George Stephanopoulos points to Busfield's criminal complaint, which references two prior sexual assault allegations back in 1994 and 2012 -- one of which was settled -- and asks Gilbert directly if she was aware.

Joseph Duggar is "nervous, anxious and worried" about what the future holds for him following his arrest on child molestation charges, TMZ has learned.

Joseph's attorney, Al Sauline, told TMZ it's been a whirlwind for Joseph after he was arrested in Tontitown, Arkansas, on 2 child sex abuse charges on March 18 ... and with all the media coverage, he's feeling the pressure of the unknown that lies ahead.

We're told the "19 Kids and Counting" star has no idea what evidence Florida prosecutors have... and he and his legal team are not even allowed to see it until prosecutors file formal charges. However, they do know who the alleged victim is.

"Below Deck" star Trevor Walker begged the police not to take him into custody before his DUI arrest, TMZ has learned. 

According to a police report obtained by TMZ, Trevor was pulled over for driving 75 MPH in a 45 MPH zone. 

The officer noted that Trevor’s car, a red Chevrolet Silverado, almost hit his patrol car when Trevor crossed over the center divider and drove right at the officer’s car, forcing the cop to swerve out of the way. 

Joseph and Kendra Duggar's March arrests took quite the toll on Kendra ... who told her husband over the phone she could barely eat or even walk from the stress of the situation.

Kendra confessed her struggles to Joseph while he remained behind bars in Arkansas in calls on March 21 -- the day after her arrest -- and March 26 ... and TMZ obtained the audio. You can hear in the call ... Kendra says she is so distressed about their legal woes, she could barely walk because she's so weak.

In another chat, she tells her hubby she's having trouble eating anything, calling it a "miracle" when she was able to get down a whole sandwich. She says she even went for an IV to sustain her, and Joseph assures her he's been praying for her health.

In the time between Tiger Woods flipping his car and being arrested for DUI, the golf legend dialed up President Donald Trump from the scene of the crash.

TMZ Sports has obtained body cam footage that shows Tiger hanging around as cops assessed the scene. He was not cuffed at the time and was permitted to sit in a police cruiser before cops had him perform a field sobriety test.

At one point, Tiger walked away from the cruiser and into the distance ... forcing police to call him back to the scene. While Tiger is walking back, he appears to be on the phone and can be heard saying, “Thank you so much. All right. You got it. Bye.”

The officer then asked Tiger to remain close by … to which he replied: “Yeah, I was just talking with the President.”
